You lost when you said Ï was told

The AFL didn't need to rob the NRL's house with Opening Round - it's more than big enough already

Do you have a life or just cant get off screens?

Yeah want to sign up all those Yanks to bet on sport no-one has heard of – this is the 48th attempt to get RL going in US – noone plays RL socially -its designed as a pro sport due to its toughness – RU has too much of a hold in the colleges

The NRL during Super League used to say the empty seats were punters who were having a beer in the bar…

Playing In March – expecting June but getting February. Are the Vegas teams playing at home next week otherwise we should see who gets the benefit of playing against Vegas travellers. Obviously they are trying to even up the comp – Penrith didnt get any calls trying to come back and of course the travelling World Club finalists (Sutton telling them not to challenge??) have to play away instead of at home in first round – how unjust is that (reminds me of the Danish womens soccer team who were always destined to face Matildas in second round but had to travel from east coast to Perth 3 times in 10 days before playing Matildas– no-one else did this). The Cronulla game seemed to be ÿou are in front so I’ll give a decision to the trailing team.

NRL Round 1 Talking Points: A full week is done and dusted - let’s all overreact together

Unlike other codes, the AFL doesnt close the side where the TV cameras are to make the crowd look bigger ie some other codes have all attendees sitting in the outer ground.

It doesnt hurt to ram home the point to NSW/Qld Govts who have large debts and rely heavily on tourism that the NRL is taking Northern states supporters $ to Vegas while the AFL is bringing Vic $ to the northern Australian states on a Moomba holiday weekend.

Yes hard to police all over the field but I agree 150%. Cheeky sledges are taunting? Pushing in the chest when you tackle someone holding the ball is one I would get rid off

New concussion protocols announced for grassroots sports with mandatory extended ban after head knocks

V’Landys in NSW is making NRL his own game – he makes rule changes without reference to local leagues and international leagues and is chasing the betting $$ – if the govt go hard on betting he is stuffed. Turns most people off. Another RL attempt in America version 24

Compromised integrity: Is 2024 the year the AFL finally goes too far with their fixture tampering?

Change the date – what date – the unions wont cop losing a long weekend before most go back from school holidays – unless you name a date its virture signalling at worst

'Painful and sorrowful day': NRL joins Australia Day backlash as Hockeyroos, AFL teams call for date change

AIS not the Govt – they have no legal power in this regard – its an advisory

New concussion protocols announced for grassroots sports with mandatory extended ban after head knocks

It applies to lower levels. Meanwhile Charlie Goodsir (SEN reporter which is part-owned by Nine network) article in Sydney Herald and Age starts off Nine (NRL rights holder) newspapers annual AFL concussion stories during AFL junior recruitment season. Usually start in late Feb/ March but the AIS concussion story meant it started early this year but SMH ignored Sean Valentines sorry concussion story at Cowboys. Note there are less AFL references in the online article than in the original newspaper article https://www.smh.com.au/sport/i-love-sport-but-there-s-more-to-life-ais-concussion-guidelines-welcomed-20240201-p5f1kc.html

No mention of the salary sombrero by Roosters (wink and nod from NRL) to keep Swans/Waratahs in their place. Like SBW to thwart Buddy Franklin signing

Welcome to the NRL, Mark - here's everything you need to know about The Greatest Game of All

Is this another example of the Roosters salary cap/sombrero that helps NRL keep in front of Waratahs/Swans in eastern Sydney. Remember when SBW signed with Easts In December just before the season started after Channel Nine boss complained about the NRL not doing anything to counter the Swans signing Buddy Franklin and surprise/surprise Roosters signed SBW surely after Roosters had obviously settled their money/squad for the upcoming season. One rule for the East and another rule for the also rans so Easts make the finals every year.

'We don’t hold any grudges': Why Wallabies star will still be picked in 2024 despite NRL defection

The Tonga and Samoa RU teams have players that actually lived or lived there at some stage whereas the NRL players would need a GPS to find it

World Rugby just shafted Samoa and Tonga - now is the time for the NRL to strike

Turn it off

World Rugby just shafted Samoa and Tonga - now is the time for the NRL to strike

The Govt about to drop the hammer on NRL betting so V’Landys getting desperate – how many times have the RL tried to get a foothaold IN US? How are the Jacksonville Axemen/whatevers going?

Las Vegas gamble a high-risk, low-reward play by NRL … the US couldn’t care less about your funny little game
