Yep, I agree, but they must plan for the future now, for Aus football to be sucessful
Australia needs promotion and relegation
Rodney, ever since the Gold Coast have left the total crowd figure for the season has steadily increased, take a look for yourself http://www.ultimatealeague.com/records.php?type=att&season=2011-12
Australia needs promotion and relegation
Jack, I agree, relegation, and promotion are decades away, but the a-league need to put plans in place now for the future to work, and I agree, we need Canberra, and I’m thinking maybe a South Coast team.
Australia needs promotion and relegation
Premy, I 100% agree we need a canberra team in the a league, the w-leagues team does well, so we should start to plan for a canberra male team
Australia needs promotion and relegation
Nickoldschool, for mine we just need more participants, and then we can expand, but the FFA have to put in place that state comps promotion, and relegation you mentioned
Australia needs promotion and relegation
Yep, good point, but it’s up to the rlwc organisers. What do they want? Better matches between minnows or blockbusters? I think it’s better to build up to the blockbusters, like at the soccer World Cup, and rugby union World Cup.
RLWC 2013 terrific, but how can 2017 be even better?
Oikee, my personal opinion is that 4 pools of 4 format, it works a lot better, allows close matches, and is as fair as we can makes it for all teams invloved.
RLWC 2013 terrific, but how can 2017 be even better?
Good point maximilian, I didn’t know that they didn’t recieve match payments, and I think the US players should have at least recieved some cash for making the quarters
RLWC 2013 terrific, but how can 2017 be even better?
Dan, those world rankings for the rlwc are really wrong, I don’t know how the USA are ranked 12th and make it to the quarters, and Samoa and Tonga are ranked 8th and 11th and they have some of the best teams.italy as well are ranked 13th and they beat wales who are 5th, it doesn’t makes sense
France, Wales and PNG disappoint on the world stage
Thanks Bela, I didn’t know much about JVS, but you really rate him, so its a bit of a bugger he had to go, because thee results really were on the rise until he left
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
Thanks everyone for your comments, great points, and an interesting discussion
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
Nordburg, yes I know he was not selected for the bulls first shield match, and the WA side was made up of second 11 players, and 1 Chris Lynn, check the link http://www.espncricinfo.com/the-ashes-2013-14/engine/current/match/592393.html
Who should bat at No. 6 for Australia?
Nordburg, I think you’ll find Chris Lynn was put into the WA Chairman’s XI to play England in the first tour match of the summer. He made 61* and 104, That’s why he wasn’t in the shield game at the start of the season.
Who should bat at No. 6 for Australia?
Fuss, the like for like crowds may have increased this year, but the Heart still have the lowest average crowds of any club
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
I wrote it because I’m not happy with the a-league management, of their advertisement of who supports which team, and no gaining support for the Heart.
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
BP, good point, but the reason I am focusing on the Heart is because the city of Melbourne is said to be “the sporting capital of Australia,” and has more than double the population of perth. Having two teams does affect this though, but they still should get more numbers than they already get.
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
I agree, Fussball, the end of the year will be the real barometer for where the Heart are at this point in time
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
Reg, I think the Heart have played pretty well on a whole for the year, they were unlucky to draw with the mariners, had a majority of the chances against the roar in the first half, and only just got edged by the Heart
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
Ok, thanks Reg, It well help when the season is over, and we can see how the Heart are going
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
Yep, winning brings a bigger club profile which brings higher profile players. And all of this will allow the Heart to grow.
A-League needs its broken Heart to mend
100% agree, the NRL needs newer coaches, just like Robinson, and Maguire, they are doing heaps better than some of the more ‘experienced’ coaches
Ricky Stuart is a hoax of a coach
