Good riddance. He should have been stood down for the season and sacked after his Cronulla rampage. Goodbye to anyone else who doesn’t want to be there too.
I do agree with the article as far as “why (bother) now?”, especially after backing him to the hilt over the past couple of years.

Good read although my experience is probably in disagreement with the opening sentence and the general premise of the article.
People I talk to don’t hate Shane Watson. Most of them just want him to score runs consistently (ie. do his job) or to make way for someone who can, pretty much they way they feel about the rest of the batting line-up.
