The highest paid Australian player without having played a senior game of rugby? In history? I wonder how 100+ test players like Michael Hooper will feel if they’re on the field when he makes his debut already earning more than they ever have or will.

'Back home': 19-year-old 'freak' NRL star signs multimillion deal with Rugby Australia

Exactly who i had in mind!

'Damn good footballers': Why Wallabies coach is cool on Suaalii seduction as McLennan fires back at V'landys

Absolutely nailed it

NRL have been consistently signing 16 year olds from rugby since forever. If rugby signed them first, who knows how much talent we’d have retained? Probably enough to have a successful and popular national competition and us consistently beating the All Blacks

Might want to be careful about mixing up “aggressive” and “assertive” in terms of Lolesio’s behaviour. Let’s not forget he’s young and impressionable and we don’t want to turn him into a complete pr*ck. One can be assertive and a good organiser without being aggressive

I’ve heard rumours Laumape is on his way back. Should’ve never left.

Coach's Corner: Captains and coaches heading for the exit?

I’ll need a new TV after that

REACTION: 'I'm proud of our guys'- Tahs captain looks to 2023 as Chiefs make it one Aussie side standing

He’s been awful all season. He had a massive hand in our losses since he’s been back.

Excellent analysis as always. Noah looks impressive. The kid has a mean offload, how is his longer passing game?

Can Noah Lolesio be Australia’s triple threat at No.10?

He’s not done badly. I’d still want Jhye or Hazlewood ahead of him. Bizarre they haven’t given Hazlewood a run

Kane Richardson finally flourishing for Australia

Hard to say for 2020 but if they can carry in the form of the latter half of 2018 they will be a title threat. Consistent team for the first time in some years plus the presence of an enormous south african is exciting. We might feel the loss of Naiyaravoro though. I’d be surprised if Beale and Folau don’t stick around (izzy is signed until 2023 isn’t he?). If Phipps goes that opens the door for Gordon which is great news. I feel the Tahs are in prwtty good shape

Karmichael Hunt to join Waratahs: Report

They’ll top the Australian conference easily.

Beale is a fullback through and through. I don’t know why he has spent his career being shuffled around. He is best at 15.

Smith’s record speaks for itself. #1 batsman in the world before the tampering incident. I don’t see any issue in slotting Smith straight back in. On the flip side, Warner should earn his position back.

Bancroft's return adds to Ashes puzzle

Can you coach the Wallabies please?

Why Rugby Australia should listen to Bob Dwyer and dump the Giteau Law

Andre! Jules from Berlin here. Hope you’re well.
Whilst I have no doubt Langer brought out the best of his ability as a batsman through hard work rather than natural talent, I’m not necessarily sure this is reflected in his coaching. And if the players displayed his sheer bloody-mindedness, determination and work ethic; I have no doubt we would make a better fist of it. But judging on what I hear from Ricky Ponting’s comments I feel he may have been the better bet to bring out the best in this group. Do you think Langer is the right choice of coach? Is the “nice guy” Langer and Paine combo a decision to win back the Australian public?

Seven months in, what’s the verdict on Justin Langer?

Why not? They closed that box almost right after he got a test century. And all he’s done since is score first class runs. His value in the field also cannot be understated. I think he’d be our best fit at six if we were to can Finch and move everyone up. Put it this way: Maxwell or Mitch Marsh?

The Waratahs are ready to be better in 2018, and so am I
