Yeah he did, before Mundine hit the scene and even with Kostya Tsyzu in is prime boxing was a small sport barely mentioned in the sports section or maybe a 30 highlight reel on the news. Now thanks to Mundine boxing is front page news and he made the careers of Green, Geale, Soliman, Wood and now Horn and even kept an old pug like Jeff Fenech relevant. Without Mundine boxing would even get a mention in this country.

Who is next for Anthony Mundine?

I should not be up this early or late pending how you look at it but this is what happens when you’re children don’t sleep. But Jason you make and excellent point, when Smith is not around, the Storm just seem to fall apart. I have always considered the Storm to be very similar to the Broncos as to when one great retires hence Langer, another replaces him with great success, hence Lockyer. But since Lockyer’s retirement the Broncos have steadily declined out of the top four or five teams and now or mid carders at best, they haven’t completely hit rock bottom like the knights did but they are no longer the calibre of team they were 12 years ago. I feel the Storm is going the same way. Smith is a once in a lifetime player, I don’t think they will ever be another player like Smith, well not from the dummy half position anyway. If last nights game was any indication of what is to come after Smith’s retirement, Storm best come up with plan C through z and quick.

What is to become of the Melbourne Storm post Cameron Smith?

Melbourne’s chance to take control is straight after the break. 7 minutes with an one man advantage.

Storm should just give up now and avoid the inevitable embarrassment

No Cam Smith no victory, we all remember what happened the last time manly played the storm with Smith under a suspension, reference 2008 grand final

Tell us how you really feel, Jeff. Kick the broncos to the q cup hey?? Why to watch them destroy every team by 20-30 points each week, sure that will make the Qcup worth watching

Warriors hold firm to edge out Eels

True, but you would have to admit that things didn’t look good at the 12-12 mark. But the Warriors took charge of the game and won it. If they did that against the Storm, bunnies of even the Broncos they would pay for it.

Warriors hold firm to edge out Eels

Things got a bit there for a second and it looked like the Warriors were going to blow another lead, but they held firm and got away with it. Good win for the Warriors

Hi Stuart, nice article. 2018 is certainly a year of surprises. Six months ago if your were to say that the Dragons, Penrith and the Warriors would be at the top of the ladder, you would of been laughed at. This season is one of the most wide open seasons I have seen in a while. Last year it was all the Storm, this year it could be anybodys season. I think that the Dragons will start to fade though

There is no doubt Penrith, New Zealand and Brisbane matter, but Parra?

So who are the other 22 better players?? this should be interesting

My picks for the Brisbane Broncos best ever team

I would agree nikau was an huge part of the 1999 gf win, can’t leave him out

My picks for the Brisbane Broncos best ever team

It would be a hell of a game between the pair but Lazarus would have to change jerseys through the game though. If that did ever happen I reckon the Storm would get them by 4

There is a Chuck Norris fact that states “when the boogeyman goes to sleep at night he checks the cupboard for Chuck Norris

Here is a BigJ fact.

When Satan goes to sleep he checks his incoming list to make sure BigJs not coming to take over. Ha ha

Sorry Israel, I don't want you back in the NRL

Nice Simpson’s reference. Surprised you came up with it.

Sorry Israel, I don't want you back in the NRL

Well done onside, ?? well done!

What will be next for Jeff Horn after his fight with Terence Crawford?

No I won’t. Heaven wont let me in and hell is too afraid I’ll take over. Your old mate BigJ WILL LIVE FOREVER!!!!! Ha ha

Sorry Israel, I don't want you back in the NRL

Sorry that’s hypothetical

What will be next for Jeff Horn after his fight with Terence Crawford?

Interesting article, you have certainly thought out plenty of hypocritical possibilities there mate.

Actually it’s nice to see that somebody has taken the time to have a plan to what if Horn actually wins the fight, and not just throw the “he will just fight Mundine for 2 million” scenario at us. Although you did forget one possibility, a rematch with Crawford. Horns camp would be crazy not to include a rematch clause in the contract. Horn”s the champ so it’s he right to have a rematch clause in the contract. With ufc 225 on the same day, June 9 is going to be a very interesting day for Aussie sport

What will be next for Jeff Horn after his fight with Terence Crawford?

You need a little history lesson my friend, Horn has fought his fair share of past their prime fighters. Randall Bailey was 41 when they fought, Ali Funkea and Manny Pacquaio were both 38 when they fought Horn, so not exactly at their best. Crawford is the only real fighter Horn will ever fight and it will test him to no end.

Tszyu challenges Mundine, but will it happen?

Jesus Barry! Do you have to belittle everyone you don’t agree with??

Sorry Israel, I don't want you back in the NRL

They have it in boxing they simply say ‘no more’ and that’s it. To quit in the corner usually means to spit out your mouth guard and the refs calls it. UFC should adopt the same policy. Hopefully the Aussie girl gets Holmes than Cyborg, but I think the Ufc is trying for the Nunes v cyborg match first.

Last week in combat sports: UFC 224, Lomachenko and GSP rumours

Typo Eddie, Whittaker is the middleweight champ not Welterweight. But excellent article loved the read. I see that cm punk is fighting again at ufc 225 how do you think that will go. Plus the corner of Pennington has a lot to answer for, do you think the Ufc might do something about that??

Last week in combat sports: UFC 224, Lomachenko and GSP rumours

It would project his career to unseen heights but I would not put him on the same pedal stool as Tsyzu until he unified the division and defend it at least four times

Tszyu challenges Mundine, but will it happen?

I think the Storm car would be better as a 1967 Shelby got 500 (Eleanor) the reflection of perfection, your number one selection

What if your NRL team was a car – part 2

Storm losing four games already would have a lot to do with it. Bellamy wants to be competitive and go back to back and not risk injury to Smith. That could be a possibility
