The only thing holding him back now is him.
Sometimes he has been guilty of taking the game on alone and not managing the team as well as he should.
If he can find the balance he and naturally we will have a good year.

JOC needs to except and focus on a mentoring role, baring injury of others.
Depth and talent needs to found and nurtured for 10 and 12 (and not just there) for Queensland and Australia at the moment.
It’s not just JOC either, everyone of his era and knowledge base needs to get behind Franchise and Wallaby development. Putting the up and comers in-front of themselves.
Fine tuning, developing and mentoring.
Now that’s not likely to happen, but wouldn’t be wonderful.
On the other hand I say play if there is no one ready to step up. Because that part is not on him.

Scrumming is what sets this game apart from the rest.
Well line outs as well, but spectators hardly go Wow at a Line out.
To get under and pop your opposite to see his feet dangling in the air or put his chin through his belly button or bore in to a hooker until he practically passes out. Oh yea, that is Rugby.
My personal favorite was the slight glancing blow when engaging, a half a head but if you like.
What they have done with scrums needs to be looked at and Rucking for that matter. Nothing gets the crowd up like a back rolling at speed out the back of a ruck.

Although I think he will be in for a look with JS I think the squad should be on notice. No one is a certainty.
