Tate was pretty poor. Say what you luke about a m8nor injury but for me White replaced him on the back of Tates performance.

Get your questions in for Issue 26 of Coach's Corner

There would only be 2 blokes not happy with the way QC played last night. JOC and Noah, Whatshisname!

MATCH REPORT: 'He's a big game player. He said I've got it and he nailed it'

Tooly, yep Boks will try and exploit Quades defensive “weakness” but surely Quade will have a “minder” on his hip. It truly will be interesting to see how effective QC is and on the players around him.

Mehrtens backs Noah for 2023: 'Is O'Connor world class? You'd have to say no'

For me, the best position for O’Connor is off the pine but gee, he’s turned into a “soft” rugby player. The amount of time he’s had off for “niggles is astounding.

I wonder IF he will actually play. Maybe in the last RC game. His fitness levels must be down.

'If I had my time again': Everything Hoops said about early captaincy flaw, trolls and Quade's return

Chicken, the word “pathetic” reflects the quality of your post.

I’ve said this for ages about JOC and have copped plenty some some on here who think James is the Second Son. Well said Merts (about JOC).

I think we’ll see a different Taniela this week. Slipper coming off the bench has 2 benefits. Firstly, to rest him after 6 Tests in which he has done his job very well. Secondly and more importantly is to “mentor” Taniela on field. Think Slipper had a big impact on a young TT at the Reds. Australia NEEDS a rampaging Thor at the backend. It’ll be interesting to see if James has a positive effect on the lad. Oh, and don’t get me wrong, Bell has been good off the bench so no problem from me in giving him the start.

'There's no panic': Every word Rennie said about Quade's secret audition, Hoops milestone, Banks decision

Geek, good stuff. A sensible suggestion comes to the fore. Genetic engineering may well be the answer. The mind boggles !

How I'd change Australian rugby if I were boss for a day

Cooper is the right choice NOW. Noah hasn’t “grown in the role despite 6 starts. JOC still wearing band aids. The trouble with Quade is that he is a “rocks or diamonds” type of player. On his day he’s a 10, an off day, he’s a 4. No doubt, the Boks will pressure his “time and space”. I just hope he’s wearing diamonds on Sunday.

'That makes him dangerous': Cooper's selection is not what the Boks ordered

And he’s pretty fortunate to hold his spot over White. Hope his passing, kicking and tackling improve this week. His attack has been fine.

CONFIRMED: Quade Cooper returns for Wallabies at No.10, Rodda starts, two debutants

Cassandra, I thought the same. The big Meat Eater forwards are going to bash us all night. An extra pig may have been an advantage.

CONFIRMED: Quade Cooper returns for Wallabies at No.10, Rodda starts, two debutants

Good to see Bell getting a start and Slipper “rested”. Bell has been good against tired or bench props simply because of Taniela at THP. The Boks will target him early at scrum time and Frans will probably dominate. It is a tough starting debut for the lad.

Fair enough Rob. Before the 6 Tests thus year I would have agreed wholeheartedly that NL was the long term Wallaby 10. After 6 starts in Tests this year, he has shown little or no improvement (IMO). Putting all our 1 egg in the basket is dangerous (in case he plays to the same level). We need to give others opportunity and IF Noah is the best of the bunch, th3n so be it. There will be plenty more losses if NL is our 10 and primary playmaker.

CONFIRMED: Quade Cooper returns for Wallabies at No.10, Rodda starts, two debutants

Dunno about a “break” Rob, but a dropping for poor performances may reset the lad to what is required to retain the Wallaby 10 jumper.

I’d drop Banks as well and select Hodge at 15. But, for some reason, I think Tom B will be given ANOTHER shot.
Maybe Hodge is seen as an irreplaceable bench option to cover all back line positions, other than 9.

CONFIRMED: Quade Cooper returns for Wallabies at No.10, Rodda starts, two debutants

Noah would be more than lucky to get a bench spot at all. White, Hodge and Jordan are the sensible picks if a 5:3 bench is named.

CONFIRMED: Quade Cooper returns for Wallabies at No.10, Rodda starts, two debutants

Worst kept secret since WW11. Great to see. Let’s see IF Quade van unlock our, so far, poor backs.

What the heck would Lote know about props. Seriously???

'He's a freak': Quade questions won't go away, while legend calls for 'Thor' to start

True but for all their success, few have been able to step up. Hopefully next year will see some others come through.

Springboks stars return for Wallabies clash in TRC but Kolbe misses out

Taniela has been very poor against the AB’s. Bench again. A lot of
noise about Noah (and rightfully so) so with the absence of JOC, Cooper is the logical choice. Hodge, yet again, remains Mr Fix It.

'He's a freak': Quade questions won't go away, while legend calls for 'Thor' to start

Agree RT. Would still like other young options being explored.

Yep and training wirh your mates, even contested, is totally different to playing blokes who want to “bury” you.
