Not unanimous! I welcome the inclusion of AAC and agree with the Banks exclusion. Put simply, Tom is not good enough yet! PS contracts don’t come with guarantees (except for money)

Waxie, go and wrap yourself in an Aussie flag, sing the Anthem followed by “True Blue” and you’ll feel better . Have a good day

It’s a good squad, largely as expected. I would have gone for TPN over Ulese although he’ll get little game time. Contrary to all, I am happy for AAC over Banks. Banks always looks fragile to me and his defence is poor. Dempsey was a shock selection for all reasons already posted by others. Hope young Jordan performs when he gets an opportunity. I’ve seen so many players with “potential” fail to reach the level. DHP is simply there based on past performance and nor current. Pocock the bogey man. Is he fit, or will it be a wasted spot. Hopefully he plays big minutes against Samoa .

Not on mine – but I do feel for the lad

Tate is not rhere YET. Cannot believe he signed a 4 year deal wirh the Reds. His manager and Tate are stupid. The kid should be the best half in another year and could have commanded a much better contract., particularly once he becomes capped by RA.

3 Hookers with Ulese, 2 Dads for experience, Banks and Liam Weight to be unlucky. Feel sorry for guys rhat miss out. Four years is a long time to wait for the next opportunity to play in a WC.

I don’t understand the hype for this bloke. A few highlight reels – wow. I remember him from before. HE doesn’t have the passion to drop $$ and plat for his national team. That’s OK by me , good luck to him. I would rather pick players that are desperate to play for the Wallabies.

Skelton, Pocock off the Wallabies bench a handful at World Cup

Dunno about the last few games, more likely the last few years

2 x McMahons – now that be handy

Simmons will be definitely there!

TBH, pretty much as expected. A few are arguable

But I think Bennett manipulates the media by choice, a bit like Des Hassler. Brad doesn’t have that ability (IMO)

Is Michael Cheika a saint, sinner or something in between?

His coaching record speaks for itself. Poor. You don’t have to search hard to listen to some pressers, after match interviews to see the quality and clarity of thought the man possesses. I have been to rugby functions at which Thorn has spoken or done a Q&A. Seriously, it was embarrassing. No wonder the Reds try and hide him (in the media)

Is Michael Cheika a saint, sinner or something in between?

It’s a fruitless exercise but wouldn’t it be enlightening if ALL the players HONEST opinions on Chek were available (one day)? No doubt, those he catapulted into the team and those rhat were favourites would love him but the others???

Is Michael Cheika a saint, sinner or something in between?

No problem with the first 2 but Thorn? His record is much worse and he cannot communicate at a level above Grade 2. He’ll be available at the end of 2020 if and when the Reds get similar results as they’ve had in his first 2 years tenure.

Donald already has a job. Pick someone else

True Fionn, they have to be good, capable of being executed by the selected players AND then being actually executed by the players. A Plan B with the same criteria wouldn’t hurt as well

Simmons will definitely be there.

Selections are always the biggest issue. I remember Alan Jones had one particular “favourite” back in the day ! Gee, did I say that !

Is Michael Cheika a saint, sinner or something in between?

Cheika like ALL coaches before him are criticised for selections etc. Some are valid, some are just disgruntled supporters upset that THEIR player wasn’t selected. Cheika is a quality coach, no doubt about that.

There will be a 5th prop (prob Keps), Higgers, Quade, McCaffeey,Phillip, Maddocks nor in the conversation and Skelton is smoke and mirrors

Yep, he is the Rebels best Hooker until Ulese actually spends some time on the field.

Hooker selections will be interesting. The first 2 (Latu and FF) are certain. Ulese is too injury prone and hardly played for a year – too big a risk. Tipping Taf will get the nod, although nor my preference. Chek welcomed him back straight into Wallaby Camp.

Probably right but it looks like the Selectors will go for players covering multiple positions (Hodge, Banks, AAC, maybe DHP). Koro is a certainty. Henry only plays wing (I think) and maybe doesn’t fit the team dynamic.
