Every team does it so folk trying to justify these actions because the ref didn’t penalise the cleanout is rubbish. There’s been fewer penalties this year in attempt to reduce the stoppages and promote a more entertaining game for the fans. The refs are doing as they have been instructed, there’s no conspiracy againt the Drua. That’s just BS.
One thing is for sure that teams will target these two and bait them. The Drua need to sort their discipline as they’re getting a reputation for ill discpline and playing the victim will fall on deaf ears with refs. Every team will be niggling them.

Yeah he was bent going in for a tackle. Head contact but not deliberate or any malice. They want to drive tackling standards okay but these two actions were deliberate acts of assaults. The headbutt was a brutal attempt to seriously hurt and Lomani’s was a cowardly elbow to the back of the head of a vulnerable player. Both should be out for the season.

Lomani’s elbow was just cowardly and excessive. 4 weeks off for admitting, we could all see what happened. There should have been no discount and if he didn’t plead guilty it should have been longer than 10. So stupid this decision. He elbowed a vulnerable guy in the back of the head causing 20 stitches. A bit lower and this may have been fatal. This needs to be reviewed, he should be gone for the season.

Hodgman and Blyth back for the Reds, that’s a quality tight 5 starting and finishing. These guys should lay a good platform at set piece, gainline and breakdown.

Feet and lower leg bone injuries can be difficult and take time to mend. Hopefully the last operation hasn’t stuffed things.

He didn’t clean him out with any force, he grabbed his leg a bit and pushed him backwards a little. Lomani needed to milk it like any other quality 9. Refs would normally ping that but if not you can’t be assaulting another player because they slowed you down.

Josh Canham required 20 stitches, where is the apology from Lomani and the Fijian Drua. You can’t condone racial slurs but seriously his feelings are hurt after he elbowed a person in the head with significant force splitting his head open and requiring 20 stitches. No apology for his action then no sympathy for his hurt feelings. Poor Frank. That was a low low dog act and he didn’t act like a quality human would.

Didn’t see the game but looks like the Tahs stuck in and showed plenty of character. Good stuff. Harrison deserves some luck other than the bad over the last couple of years.
