Interested in the popularity and growth of football in Australia, especially the A-League. Also passionate about the history of the former National Soccer League. I am a supporter of the Australia Cup, and believe a National Second Division is achievable.

Halftime. Brisbane looking slightly stronger. Taking a few more chances. Seven corners, but nothing to show.

I was expecting a draw too.

It’ll be a cracker of a final round. One last hurrah from WU. However, City are on a hot streak.

Only a few minutes left. Into injury time. Wanderers with much better statistics.

After the Rebels, I heard the next club to experience financial difficulties was the Brumbies. Apparently they’re a million plus dollars in debt.

The Super Rugby franchise has more history (& fans) than Canberra United. Far more.

Their potential handout could be significant.

With A-League finals on the horizon, Central Coast must travel half a world away to begin it's dream of AFC Cup final spot

Canberra FC is a sticky situation. Does that mean the government will then bail out the Brumbies?

Doka is a mystery to me. Although, I’d let him take all the free kicks. He’s usually on target.

Yeah, Torres is a bit hot & cold. Technically skilled, but impatient.

I have a feeling the postponed Adelaide United game will define whether Central Coast hold the Premier’s Plate or not.

Does the A-League have the clout to make a UK-bound event round work in season 2024/25?

I enjoyed the article. Nothing wrong with playing the devil’s advocate. I’m open to all opinions.

Agreed. That’s a staggering amount of possession for limited results.

Not sure about the pen. Will have to watch the replay.

All I know is Irankunda missed the shot. Perfect save by Kurto.

Too much pressure for young Irankunda?

I’m gobsmacked. Adelaide clearly have the upper hand, yet the Bulls have somehow turned it around.

Macarthur are leading with only 10 men.

Nice. It’s a challenge, getting the right stadium. EG: Accor Stadium (in Sydney) is nice, but I’d prefer a smaller version with a roof. Say, 60k covered in the rain, as opposed to 80k freezing fans stuck in the elements.

He’s pretty good, young Torres. Certainly not of Marco Túlio‘a standard, but still a champion. Occasionally a ball hog too, I’ll admit, but that’s ok. He’s got skills.

I still rate Gomes. Just needs better service. Lolley, however, is still my favourite at FC. Talay is a breath of fresh air. He’ll probably get picked-up be a SPL club soon.

How did you rate the stadium, Grem? Being from NSW, I’ve never been before.

Borello’s an interesting character. An excellent player in my books, but he’s occasionally a bit complacent since becoming a Socceroo.

I have zero faith in Milligan – too brash. Although, he’s a decent commentator. I’m bias as he left the Bulls at the drop of a hat.

An impressive Melbourne derby, for sure. But, I have a feeling Sydney will really turn on the charm this weekend. 25k+ I would imagine.
