He should be starting. Savea 7, Frizel 6, Jacobson 8.

Squeezing the Ian Foster DNA out of these All Blacks is going to take some time

Test rugby will do that.

Ioane is a strike runner who lacks the self awareness to make space, will only ever want to take space. Thats not what you want from a centre. I hope this changes, cos Fos will keep starting him. Even when ALB and Goodhue are back.

They were his selections. He wanted them, then threw them under the bus. Head coach is supposed to be a great talent assessor. If he cant even get his coaching team right, what hope of getting the squad selection right?
I dunno man, the longer this goes on the less I think of Foster (which wasn’t too high to start with).

Yep, fixable though. Hope he is working on this.

ANALYSIS: How Foley really handled recall, what it says about Aus rugby, and teammate he owes big time

Hodge at 10 would fix allot of that Pete.

Yeah Tony, I too am big a fan of Hodge at 10. He keeps things simple and effective, and has great D in the 10 channel, giving his loosies lots of ball to pilfer.

Michalak, Cruden etc.

Yeah Jordan is also a big worry on D. Really doesn’t like the physical stuff, but last weekend he even got gassed on the outside by Samu. Couldn’t believe my eyes.

AB management should be thinking about bringing either Proctor or Levi Aumua at 13 and 12 respectively. Both solid defenders and support players, and Aumua is very strong carrying in to traffic.

Yeah sounds like a league wing.

Yeah Kellaway is great all rounder, but he is a killer at 14. Put him there and let him do his thing.

Bobby V had a blinder. Best on ground.

I’m a big fan of Kellaway, and feel he deserves more time to show his wares on the wing. Give him enough time to really get in to a groove. He is as good as Penaud, Mapimpi, Koroibete etc, but hasn’t had the time to really show it.

The Wrap: How is it that when the Wallabies lose, support for Dave Rennie goes up?

I like Hodge at 10 and 12. He is also good at the back lack of top line pace can see him get picked off. Would be good to see Nawaqanitawase get some time at 15. I think he would be a natural there. has similar size as Hodge, more speed and might just be what the Wallabies are looking for at 15.

Yes his biggest problem is game-time/availability.

The memory of Cheika’s turbulent time as Wallaby Coach is not to distant…..

Yes JB at 12 (his preferred position) would be very interesting, I think he would thrive. But he is NZ’s best option at FB. Can’t see anyone else with the defensive class/power at FB. Who would you have protecting the try line to facilitate putting JB at 12?

ANALYSIS: How Wallabies' big body theory panned out at Marvel, and what to do with Pete Samu after stunner

Exactly double yellow instead of yellow AND red. But I had a look at Wrights yellow. His leg was pinned while trying to role away after making his tackle. Very unlucky to get the yellow, but getting the yellow resulted in Swain not getting a red so a win for the Wallabies all up.

Hooper, Bobby, Samu is the hardest working/hardest hitting + quick around the park combo. In Hoopers absence, FMR. Winning opposition lineouts may be difficult, but should still be able to win their own throw ins.

Yes the sooner he gets in the better. I rate him ahead of Noah. Donaldson also needs a chance.

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Foley returns at No.10 as Rennie makes EIGHT starting XV changes for Bledisloe opener

I think the new starting backrowers will do well Leota, Samu, & Sotutu.
(Taukei aho and S.Barret also to continue good form).
Holloway, might not do so well.
Hope there are no bad injuries.

ANALYSIS: The biggest challenge facing Dave Rennie if he's to avoid another Bledisloe blow

@Nicholas Bishop FMR may be the same size as Hoops but he plays wayy lighter. Very light on his feet (higher centre of gravity?). I like his game, but he has from time to time gotten pushed around. Hoops plays well above his weight. Proper freak.

ANALYSIS: The biggest challenge facing Dave Rennie if he's to avoid another Bledisloe blow

I still like Hodge at 12. He does great there.

ANALYSIS: The biggest challenge facing Dave Rennie if he's to avoid another Bledisloe blow

Very handy yes.
