Reds, Sharks, Wallabies, Cricket, Lions, Maroons. A smattering of NFL. Maybe a touch of NBA. It’s all good.

Thanks, Geoff. Made a massive error of closing my eyes whilst attempting to stay up then before I knew it, it was 5am and I missed the game. Didn’t mean to but I saw the result and decided I don’t think I can sit through that. Whilst I thought we would win, this result isn’t unexpected and Fiji are a very good team these days so congratulations to them. Nothing we can do now but beat Wales (preferably with a bonus point whilst denying them one). Hoping our Georgian brothers can also spring a surprise for us.

The Wrap: Group C fast becoming everyone’s favourite - except for the Wallabies as early flight home looms large

Yeah it was amazing he went virtually injury free for 5-6 years since he debuted for the Reds and Wallabies, playing huge minutes too. Hopefully this one is very minor.

UPDATE: Clearest sign that Wallabies captain Skelton is OUT of Fiji game, coach names back up skipper

Great read mate, thanks for penning it. Hope is, and always will be, a cruel mistress. It often delivers pain more than it brings joy. But we always come back to it. That’s what being a fan is all about, I suppose.

Ireland have always been my second team. I own 3 jerseys; 2002 and 2005 Wallabies jerseys and a 2003 Irish jersey. I just loved watching guys like Wood, Stringer, O’Driscoll and O’Gara. If the wallabies don’t win it, I hope your fellas can. All the best.

Hope never dies: The past is painful, but there's lot to like about the look of the Irish

We need more halfbacks. Follow the Springbok way.

Yeah something is off with our load management. And you’re right, common theme seems to be “we’ve gotta be fitter, stronger” and the rush to get there is resulting in serious injuries. Hoping it’s not serious for Will but calves are a tricky beast.

If the news isn’t good, I’d hope Eddie brings in LSL to replace Will’s power game but I imagine someone like Holloway might be selected instead.

UPDATE: Clearest sign that Wallabies captain Skelton is OUT of Fiji game, coach names back up skipper

That’s rotten news. Unfortunately, the same issue of previous years is rearing it’s head. Why are we still getting so many injuries? The main culprits still seem to be ACL, calf and hamstring.

My plan is try and sleep all Sunday arvo, wake up for dinner and stay up for the game then go back to bed before work. It’s going to suck.

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Key Wallabies duo out, Frost back and hooker swap for 'most important match of World Cup'

Big loss and I feel for Malcolm. It’s just not fair sometimes. This is the sad nature of the World Cup beast. Big players will go down, it’s how you respond that decides whether you can lift that trophy. All the best in his recovery.

RWC News: 'Doesn't make sense' - why ex-Wallaby coach wants Carter axed, Mack bemoans mates 'smoking vapes, drinking beer'

It’s funny but that’s exactly what I was told. When I was much younger and backpacking around Europe, I checked into my hostel in Paris and started chatting to the French guy who ran it – asking for any tips or advice. He said “one thing you have to do is make it clear you’re from Australia and not England, otherwise we won’t help you”.

He wasn’t kidding. My first attempts to ask for help were greeted with “No.” until I changed tact and began every sentence with “Hi I’m from Australia, could you please…” Never had an issue after that.

Rugby and romance a perfect combination in the City of Love

Sliding doors moment that ensured Wallabies star Nawaqanitawase wasn't lost to Fiji ahead of World Cup

Great article mate, lovely read. Enjoy your trip!

Rugby and romance a perfect combination in the City of Love

Jesus Christ, that’s 100% more Scottish arse than I expected to see on a Tuesday.

Good, the bad and the Eddie: Taniela twinkle toes, Bok's stunning 'hold my beer' play, and was 'TMO in the toilet?'

Take the positives boys. Build on it. I saw enough to believe we can win this. Now, time to make a bacon and egg muffin.

'Doing their thing, playing free:' Wallabies smash Georgia to kick-start RWC campaign in style

Great song.

Comment: Eddie Jones has taken risks by naming his big three for Wallabies opener - but he had to

Go well Donno. Less than 48 hours til this cup kicks off. Let’s go boys!!

Exclusive: Eddie to spring huge No.15 shock to start World Cup as Donno's 'natural game' gives him an edge

Thanks, Brett. Everything before this is done. It’s World Cup time. I’ll wait and leave my assessment and judgement until we are no longer participating (that includes winning it too!).

One real bummer is that 3 out of 4 pool games we play are Monday morning. Could’ve used a couple more Saturday or Sunday’s.

'It's everything': The craziness and stupidity that must be addressed if Eddie is to be proven right

One of my favourites. Was like Australia’s version of Etzebeth. I remember when Vickerman and Horwill paired up in 2011. Probably our meanest and most agro pairing we’ve had that I can recall.

Greatest XV: 'Big imposing bear you wanted to be around'- Dan Vickerman was the 'hardest worker' on and off the field

Massive effort from the whole team but I specifically remember Ashley-Cooper making some incredible rush decisions to shut down the overlap on a number of occasions. Underrated guy that I look back on fondly.

The Wrap: Magical World Cup moments and memories that left an indelible mark, and the promise of so much more

Cheers, Geoff. Lots of great memories over the years starting with my first in ‘03. Fiji and Rupeni Caucaunibuca running amok was probably my most enjoyable. Everyone at school wanted to try and emulate some of his moves. That and buying those stupid Gilbert gloves everyone seemed to be wearing at the time.
.
2011 QF at the cake tin with my Dad. Amazing memory watching Pocock almost single-handedly taking on the Boks. And of course that defensive wall display against Wales in 2015 whilst down 2 men.

The Wrap: Magical World Cup moments and memories that left an indelible mark, and the promise of so much more

Cheers Brett. I secretly love the jersey articles…

Argentina and Fiji have absolutely brained it. Don’t mind the Scots either (I’m a sucker for simplicity).

Lots of chat around the Wallabies colour but I love it. In my opinion, they’ve done as well as they can to match the 1991 gold that was voted on. Of course, the level of gold was always dependent on how drenched in sweat it was with those old cotton jerseys but that almost burnt orange/gold always resonated with me:

From 'hang it in the Louvre' bangers to the worst World Cup jersey ever - we rate the good, bad and Irish of RWC kits

I have that book! Was some school fundraising thing (I can’t remember I was young) and after I was in the top 3 I got to pick my prize from a selection of books.

Spotted Wallaby Gold with Burke and Kefu on the front and went “I want this one”.

Greatest XV: 'Everyone yelled Owen Finegan! World Champion! And I drank out of the Cup'

Seeing Rob Valetini’s cap sitting atop his magnificent afro gives me a good chuckle.

'We need to change the mindset': Key area to fix for RWC outlined as Eddie's men shown off in welcome ceremony

Absolute magician. Incredibly tough for Pocock not to feature but Smith was one of the best to ever do it.

Greatest XV: 'Best player I've seen' - Australia's magnificent 7, despised by All Blacks and cherished by Eddie

Wow. That’s absolutely wild if he didn’t think he’s our first choice 13. One of the few world class guys we have.

'We've got a few out': Slipper set to miss RWC opener as Eddie opens up on 'fascinating experiment' campaign

Amen. My Dad and I were there at the cake tin. Boks fans all around us were devastated but in awe of him.

Greatest XV: 'Bloody special': Three meat pies and flailing fists announced Toutai Kefu to the world
