Absolutely agree, 5 phases back…crazy….. if the TMO sees a penalty he should immediately say so and the onfield ref can put the hand out for advantage. no raking over play more than 2 phases unless an advantage has been indicated

Nine talking points from Wallabies vs Ireland first Test

Im a NSW boy but I even I was amazed there was no mention of that forward pass. it was blindly obvious live to me, just watched the replay highlights and I have no doubt.

Still didn’t make a difference NSW were the dominant team in attack. QLD looked a little dull in attack.

Six talking points from State of Origin Game 1

Once again Owens and his cohorts ruion what could have been a good match. The denied try was fair. This is what so annoys me about rugby in the last 10 years. The officials haver too much influence with their inflated egos. A good refereee is not seen

All Blacks vs Wallabies highlights: All Blacks win final Bledisloe Cup Test 37-10

Cooper had an ok game, as did Giteau. Toomua was also great,

They are all good players. They only suffer when the forwards are not holding their own as is generally the case for the Wobblies.Matt T ha d the benefit of better forward service. We could have Dan carter there and he would look ordinary behind our pack

My personal preference is for Genia -Cooper -Toomua with Giteau as the super sub along with Phipps who is better when the game opens up due to forward tiredness. I’m a waratahs fan by the way and think Foley is a sound flyhalf but wont win us a world cup. He needs Beale to provide the spark in attack as his own game is based on control and not flair. Toomua is the perfect second five as he’s a good hard runner and tackler as well as a handy distributor.

Generally i think that the game was 50 50. The wobblies had the better first 20 although two penalties gave the Saffas the better look on the scoreboard. Then 20 minutes either side was the saffas, where our forwards went missing a little. The last 20 was us. The wobblies always looked more likely to put on a try. Thats the problem with the saffas, – all beef and no brains..
