Harvey sounds like a senior assistant and nothing else.

Ross Lyon, the Bell tolls for thee

Mark Harvey? :stoked: haha.

Nah just joking but the Woosha rumour may not be the most dreadful option.

Might free them up to be more attacking.

Ross Lyon, the Bell tolls for thee

Jeez Don. Greedy much?

The Hawks gifted wrapped him for cheap and you want to value him more than Buddy and Dangerfield combined.

Get real.

Ross Lyon, the Bell tolls for thee

Hey AD, surely the club has a replacement coaching target already?

Ross Lyon, the Bell tolls for thee

Melbourne serving up yet another big bowl of disappointment?

Have followed the game since the early 70’s and for most of that time, that’s been situation normal.

The Roos/Goodwin ‘rebuild’ is a complete myth for mine.

The biggest Dee-sappointment of 2019

Casboult shows something down back? Who knew?

Only 5 years late..

AFL Team of the Week: Round 22

….so they are like that on purpose?

struth!

The training wheels are off as David Teague lands Carlton job for good

not sure how much is in that salary cap.

Coming off a flag and a chance for back to back with no major retirements oe wantaway trades on the horizon.

Coniglio may yet dons Eagles colours but not until 2025-6 when he will be in his twilight years

The training wheels are off as David Teague lands Carlton job for good

nah – salary cap would be very tight – doubt they could land either Coniglio or Kelly.

yo-yos maybe…

Are Essendon actually in a funk, or did we all just fall for the hype?

Shiel is an interesting one – clearly more outside than in and under although he gets it a fair bit of it but his average disposal means the Bombers don’t get full value.

Glad the Hawks missed out on Shiel TBH – Worpel will be a better mid in the long run having had the opportunity to develop in 2019.

Are Essendon actually in a funk, or did we all just fall for the hype?

they won’t, Doc.

Good to hear from you BTW

Hawks veteran Roughead's farewell game secure

there isn’t a sunhat big enough to entice Roughy that far north.

yep, the guy is a champion player and human – I feel blessed he played for the brown and gold and will never forget his bump on Hannerberry in the 2014 grannie as a defining moment in he club’s history.

Hawks veteran Roughead's farewell game secure

They won’t.

Hawks veteran Roughead's farewell game secure

McEvoy’s injury is a blow for the Hawks but good to see Cousins get another chance after some good form at Box Hill and youth Jiath finally debuting albeit in arctic conditions.

Giants own Manuka but Hawks have nothing to lose or fear and will sneak home by less than 2 goals.

Maybe…..

Greater Western Sydney vs Hawthorn: Friday night forecast

agree I wouldn’t be surprised this was a succession plan of sorts, James.

BTW the ratings this week are perfection.

2019 AFL Power Rankings: Round 18

and yet your comment belittles the situation…..

The Final Quarter: An opportunity for education and empowerment

once again I know where I stand on this issue, but I make the point, every employer (including the AFL) owes a duty of care to its employees – regardless of why it happened, the bullying that resulted was obvious and the AFL failed to deal with it appropriately IMHO just like the VFL failed Nicky Winmar years before.

The Final Quarter: An opportunity for education and empowerment

Penguin – you make a really good point that there was tangible escalation in the booing which may not have started with racist intent by some football followers but it exponentially headed in that direction after Eddie’s ‘intervention’ and then with Adam’s appointment as AOTY.

The Final Quarter: An opportunity for education and empowerment

regardless of where you sit on this issue, just imagine for a minute that everytime that you turned up for work for the next 3 years, you were open reviled – it would test anyone….

The Final Quarter: An opportunity for education and empowerment

Show me, Don.

Who's the best candidate to replace Alan Richardson?

yep starting this week when they’ll be beaten by the Hawks 😉

2019 AFL power rankings: Round 17

maybe but I reckon the guy likes it on the Eastern sea board.

I also heard best bud Jaeger O’Meara was in the rooms to console him so I’m calling it now – he’s a Hawk! 🙂

Six talking points from AFL Round 17

unlikely that anyone else but Fagan would have thought to ask him.

I’m delighted for both of them that’s it’s worked out so spectacularly well.

How good would it be for Hodgey to win a 5th flag in his last game? Would put to bed the Judd v Hodge comparisons forever.

Thriving culture the key to clubs’ success

A sprinkle of that old Hawthorn magic really goes a long way 😉
