I am a big fan of mainly Rugby League and Cricket. I support Souths in the NRL, along with NSW in State of Origin. Also, the Sixers in the Big Bash, NSW in the domestic cricket, and am always right behind Australia. My favorite sporting players from the NRL would have to be Sam Burgess, Greg Inglis, and Cameron Smith, and around the cricketing globe would be AB De Villiers and Michael Clarke

I go for Souths. I don’t have a second team.

I just hate some teams less than others haha

Can you really have two teams?

Look i totally understand your point and where you’re coming from – I just disagree with it haha.

Moving a foundation club is almost blasphemy. A club with so much tradition and pride in Sydney, it just wouldn’t make sense. If Souths moved from Sydney, it would only go backwards. They had the highest home and away attendance of any club last year, whilst also being the 2nd most viewed free to air club (behind Hawthorn).

Obviously no one wants there team to move, but moving Souths or the Roosters is ludacrious, it would kill that great rivalry.

Swans relocated years ago, imagine the uproar if Collingwood or the like were forced to move now.

And go easy on the tigers, they only have 17 fit players at the moment. Injuries are killing them. They need some sort of salary cap exemption or something….but thats another subject.

Dear Dave, I have fixed rugby league for you

Wow. Relocate Souths? Are you mad? It must’ve taken every ounce of stupid to think of that one. Take away the only team with 30,000 members and a foundation club. That is ridicolous. You’d also be taking away the biggest club rilvary in the NRL, Souths and the Roosters. Cronulla is the only club I would think could re-locate cause of there financial situation among other factors.

As far as relegation, what’s the point of that? The NRL teams would destory the NSW/QLD cup sides, there isn’t enough depth to do that. The NRL having a salary cap means we don’t need a relegation system, because the NRL is so even across the board, teams could get the wooden spoon one year and be Grand Finallists the next (Roosters 09/10).

The broadcast fiasco however is spot on. Delayed games will be the death of every NRL fan, its 2014, why do we still have 2 delayed games per week. Stupid.

Dear Dave, I have fixed rugby league for you

You’re very specific in terms of score lines hahaha

Previewing your NRL team's run home: Fourth to sixth

Agreed, looking at Melbournes run home too, I think they’ll make it. And good luck to whoever plays them in week 1

Previewing your NRL team's run home: Seventh to ninth

Totally agreed,
However I’ll take it a step further.
How often do we see a full house at an NRL game? Very close to never right….
Stadiums, instead of allocating an ‘away supporters bay’ on ticketek, should delegate a bay or 2 for opposition members.
These members would have to log in and book there seats (for free) to avoid a ‘free for all’ situation, but as a member who goes to most away games, I am sick of paying in excess of $30 for every away game i go to on top of the $170+ membership.

Just an idea

Price is not right for NRL fans

It was all over Social media when the final 6 rounds came out.. I couldn’t really name names but there were many many comments complaining about it.

Maybe it would’ve been bigger at Allianz…but it would’ve been much bigger if the game was on the weekend, would have certainly attracted 40+ thousand. It happened last year, and it’s going to happen again this year, they’re giving up big crowds

Death to Thursday night football

Yeah I said in there that MNF is already one too many nights on a work/school night. Agreed it sucks big time. Thursday night footy is salt into the wounds

Death to Thursday night football

agreed, that is laughable

This could be the future Australian Test team

1. Slater
2. B Morris
3. Inglis
4. J morris or Hodges
5. Hayne
6. JT
7. Cronk
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Graham
11. SBW
12. s Burgess
13. Gallen

14. Matulino
15. Bird
16. Thaiday
17. Cherry Evans

A team of the best players in the NRL

He is built for the Origin style of play, absolute machine, would love to see him in sky blue colours.

Mansour looms as Blues bolter for Origin

That possible future QLD team does not look too shabby…..well unless you compare it to the all star team that have been running the show for 8 years. I hope NSW can go 2-0 up, but definitely won’t be showing any confidence or cockyness until they do so.

Doomsday fast approaching for Maroons empire

I’m a massive league fan, but i struggle to get up for international games compared to club games and Origin. Maybe it is due to the fact that there isn’t enough emphasis on the international game.

What is with the lack of rugby league internationals?

Feeling sorry for Peats. I’m a South’s fan and I along with plently other of Souths fans are completly shattered for him. Such a talent. Eels will struggle without him.

Peats leaves Eels fans broken hearted

Firstly I’m looking for Sam Burgess, but somehow he’s not there? You could put him at 8,10,11,12 or 13 or if you’re somehow clutching straws (even though he’s a certain starter) at least somewhere on the bench..

I would have James Graham over Pritchard and that is just within the Bulldogs let alone the rest of the comp.

I don’t see a place for Manu Vatuvei (even though i do love him scoring tries).

Persoanally I still think Cronks over DCE but thats certainly up for debate.

Whare is a weapon but again I’d have Morris, Hodges, Lyon etc over him.

Everyones opinion is always going to differ. But yeah, that’s the changes i would make for now.

A team of the best players in the NRL

Maxwell great stuff. That reverse slog sweep was pure class!

In saying that, I wouldn’t waste my time watching an IPL match. I struggle wasting my time watching a T20 international. I wont even start on the corruption and so forth, but give me (and i assume all real cricket lovers) a test series ANYDAY over T20 and especially the IPL

Four outstanding Aussies in the IPL

I love Mullen as a player. But BJ and McManus, please!

Newcastle trio key to NSW success

Benjji looked lost out there tonight haha!

Will the real Adam Reynolds stand up?

From a complete fans perspective I do love Origin mid-year. If it’s at the end of the year I’m not sure if it would attract the same interest.

But don’t get me wrong, I do completly agree with everything you say and the impact it has on clubs.

Why I'm feeling Blue about State of Origin

It’s not getting rougher, people are just now noticing the consequences of the brutality of it

Rugby league is getting too rough

Geez these comments are a bit harsh. Maybe I’m chuffed as a Souths fan. When Adam Reynolds was coming up through the ranks, before he played first grade, his coaches all said he was one of the best defensive halves they’ve seen, and this just backs that up. He does well for a little bloke!

The best and worst NRL defensive halfbacks this year

Smart sponsorship. Keeping them happy!

2014 State of Origin Game 1: Full Player Ratings

Quite an excellent defensive display by NSW, and i completly agree with your list. The twins doing that in complete pain earns nothing but my upmost respect, and that Scott tackle on slater, well, i think an entire state all went up as one!

The five tackles that won State of Origin I

Agreed. Within 5 minutes he lets mcqueen and slater through, and then i think the other was GI a bit later. In saying that he did make up for it at the end with his defensive effort, nothing short of spectacular. Everyones arguing that he either was amazing or terrible, well in defensive terms he was a bit of everything

Scott selection blunder almost costs the Blues

As a superstitious souths fan I’m always worried about the mid-season coach scenario. Teams always find a way to win in this situation. Last year when the Cowboys sacked Neil Henry they smashed souths the next week and went on to win game after game until getting controversially knocked out of the finals.

In saying that, Dragons have disatriously failed to impress anybody, and the writing was on the wall for Price. Don’t forget Dragons upset Souths in the corresponding gmae last year when Souths were red hot. So as a (biased) Souths fan it will be interesting

Dragons coach McGregor faces first test against Souths
