What does your AFL club name represent?
What do you see when you look at WCE @Nathan of Perth? i am interested and open to all thoughts.
What does your AFL club name represent?
Let’s bring Butch to the Dogs; as a Western Bulldogs supporter we need a promising forward but we can’t put to much on him.
I am interested to hear your thoughts on the Dogs reverting back to the Footscray name.

The Bulldogs must take a trip to the Butcher
Although he had such a limited time in Australia, Will, I regard So You Think as up there with some of our greatest racehorses. Winning two cox plates (Australia’s greatest race) in addition to several other G1 victories, he commands that champion status. A cox plate at 3 is an amazing effort.
So You Think racing anywhere but Australia
Tristan, I wrote this article on Mills in late July http://camcallsthegame.com/2011/07/27/nba-may-become-nbl-for-mills-%e2%80%93-can-we-lock-it-in/ .
It is good to see it happen and hopefully this will start the augmentation in Australian basketball at all levels.

Does anyone think the Springboks are good enough to win the RWC? Too old?
Wallabies win and open up World Cup
My preview which was posted yesterday http://www.theroar.com.au/2011/08/25/gladiators-battle-in-top-of-the-table-clash/
Go Storm!
Sea Eagles vs Storm: live scores, blog
@Amazon – I put Adelaide’s drought in there at the end as they are one of the three clubs undertaking this path. It was been 13 years but in now way to I rank that with the Dogs and Dees.
I think Schwab will be gone and it is only a matter of time. I appreciate that those coaches I mentioned have been out of the game for some time but they still hold that knowledge and several are in the media so they have stayed reasonably close.
I think Lyon is overrated and full of himself who has let his “wanting to be Eddie-like” media presence take control – in the same boat as Brayshaw.
One of the best to listen to is David King’s; his opinions are very, very good to hear.
AFL selection panels need a rethink
Good to hear Tristan. I will do St Kilda and Kangaroos if you want me to as I will be sitting in row b haha.
Who are you tipping Tristan?
Cam.

Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
@Boom – Sea Eagles v Storm
Friday Aug 26
7:35pm – Brookvale Oval
Check the NRL website.
Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
I enjoy reading the last few comments. Complaining and further complaining will only go so far and you need much more than one person to change the situation.
Rather let’s focus on the game. first vs second – let’s enjoy the game. Sport has gone so far down the business side that we sometimes get to carried away.
Enjoy the game tomorrow night.
Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
It will be a cracker of a game. News from Storm HQ is that Cam Smith is as fresh as he has been all season. Even if he wasn’t, Storm supporters can always expect a 110 per cent showing from him.
Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
Let’s forget the broadcasting, prime ministerials etc etc issues and focus on the main thing…the game itself.
Who are you tipping to take the points Oikee?
Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
I know that I’d rather be watching what should be a thrilling match rather than another Collingwood thrashing when the fly west to play Fremantle.
Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
The Storm continue to grow in Victoria and are highly followed by many Victorian’s including a great chunk of AFL supporters.
Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
Thta’s right Bill. Ch9 only show anything to do with the Storm when they feel they can benefit. The Storm are massive in Victoria now and must be shown that respect from the tv channel.
The NRl footy show far outweights the AFL version in intelligence and humour also.
Gladiators battle in top of the table clash
Good read John.
Being a keen supporter of and competitor in basketball I have followed this closely including recent articles http://www.theroar.com.au/2011/08/16/nba-players-still-locked-out-as-fiba-hit-the-court/ http://camcallsthegame.com/2011/07/27/nba-may-become-nbl-for-mills-%e2%80%93-can-we-lock-it-in/
The risk for players competiting overseas in massive. If Kobe Bryant went to China to play at $2m for a month (which won’t happen due to China’s recent ruling on contracted NBA players) he puts himself in a position where he could gain an injury and ruin his year. It is too much to play for.
I would love however for NBA to come and play exhib games in Australia, but I can’t see it happening.
America's NBA strike a boon for our NBL
appreciate your comments…we will have to wait and see.
Ben Allen: the next big thing in NBL
He hasn’t played for the Boomers … Yet! It will only be a matter of time before he is playing and starting centre.
Ben Allen: the next big thing in NBL
share the story with your mates and let’s get some attention on the upcoming season
Ben Allen: the next big thing in NBL
Being a Dogs supporter, I would like MM to coach at the kennel but I think Malthouse should be taken on his word … that he won’t coach (or be head coach) next season.
I still think Eade will be at Melbourne and Burns to Adelaide … Neeld to the Dogs?
Mick Malthouse won't be coaching Bulldogs next year
@Buck – the positive thing is that Benny Allen will learn from LS and gain more and more time this year. Just look at his last year in college…was impressive. His inside but more important, outside skills, will make him hard to stop in the NBL.
Are you a Crocs fan @Buck?

Ben Allen: the next big thing in NBL
Western Bulldogs: Same battler mentality as the Kangaroos. They need to add some flashy stuff and win over a new generation of fans. Dour football doesn’t win the hearts and minds of kids.
