Interesting conundrum for Kiss this week. Assuming Paisami is back does Henry move to the bench or back to development squad?

'Over the moon': Reds deny Chiefs for 23 PHASES to win 'titanic' trans-Tasman clash as Kiss' revolution continues

Some parts of the world still celebrate his drop goal…..

Forgotten element of Eddie's coaching that can help the Wallabies rise again - and the young gun who benefitted from heartache

The Reds picked up Luke Jones for this exact role but sadly he hasn’t been seen, I do wish SR teams would provide more information on injured players.
Had he been fit and playing I suspect he might have made this list.

'Roam, hit, run': The bouncer Eddie must find in the Wallabies' most open position

Well written ! thanks

'There is no other position where the Wallabies have as much vulnerability - or as much promise'

Drua ? they are part of super rugby so he would remain qualified and surely they’d love some experience …

Revealed: Star Wallaby could be forced to leave Brumbies as Rugby Australia's belt tightens

Math says they wouldnt be at 38% if they won enough games to make the finals….

WILL GENIA: I was disappointed by Rennie sacking but Eddie's a winner - this is why he's the right choice

and Faessler looking good, mark him down as a bolter if he has a good SR season

Bring back Beale: Tahs veteran the key to fixing Wallabies' astounding lack of attacking variety

He’s bigger than KB whos name it being used in the same sentence. I’m not sure where this concern is coming from. He sticks his tackles and makes good breaks.

'I get annoyed by that': Jock shows safety and spark vs Japan, but can he cope with physical demands of Tests?

100% agree and well written.

Why Sharni Williams deserves a place in World and Australian Rugby Halls of Fame

The part I was concerned about TT was right at the death of the game. We were mid field, nothing on and he was standing in the first channel ready for a carry when I think Leota came running across and effectively pushed TT aside and stood in front, raised his hand to the half back who threw Leota the ball instead.. It was as if Leota knew TT didn’t really want the carry..

'Could have been disastrous': Everything Dave Rennie said about ballsy Noah play, Tupou form slump and Hoops talks

For all the talk from world rugby about player safety how is Beauden selected to play this week ? Surely falling from such a height onto his head that play was stopped for a significant period (for him and the SA winger) and he had to come from the field.. this has to be a week off for precaution …..

All Blacks team: Mo'unga to start, young prop in line for debut, Frizell named at No.6 over Ioane

I thought Creighton did ok given his first run at 10. It appeared to me that he was standing very deep which may well have been the plan to give him more time. The issue in doing so was that when the ball goes wider the defense have such a clear read on it and were able to shut things down often before the advantage line.
I feel Hunter is better on a flat line and running angles.
Twas not a happy night at my place watching that 2nd half.

REACTION: 'Really disappointing'- Trans-Tasman gulf remains a chasm as Reds choke and Hurricanes rip in

you’re 100% buddy… Should be a cracker this weekend.

Reds won't accept Tupou did anything wrong as judiciary showdown looms

math clearly not being my strong suit on this… not sure why I thought he didnt qualify..

'I'm hurt I couldn't please everyone:' 'Vulnerable' Quade Cooper on decision to choose club over country

I dont think he did – needed 7 seasons of Super also

Adding my unfounded 2cents. I wonder if this has more to do with the Giteau Law than anything else. RA had the right to use Reg 9 and force the Japan clubs to release players during the test window but the decided not to. Now some have claimed, and it sounds plausible, that they didn’t want to impact voting for the RWC in 2027.

But I also wonder if the Japanese clubs feel slighted because at the time of signing big money contracts with all three they didn’t qualify as international players under the Giteau law. So the clubs may feel they paid good money for young men that wouldn’t disappear during the test windows, only for the RA to make a temporary amendment and select this 3 guys.

At the end of the day you have to dance with the one that brought you, and the Japan clubs are their employers and RA decided not to invoke Reg 9.

An interesting thought piece Ben. Whilst I’m sure many will pick up on the concept the white powder does in fact hurt people. The organized criminal groups that murder and maim etc.

But lets put that aside because your point I believe is that this could have been a tax issue or adultery and what does it have to do with the league ?

When does one assume responsibility for the reputation of the entire sport ? is it under 19’s, Reserve Grade, first fulltime contract ?

People just like to be outraged.

The 'white powder' dilemma: Why the NRL has no business sticking its nose in

They seem quite happy with it. Obviously the timing has been beneficial

Time for rugby diplomacy and new stadiums in the Pacific

Well written Paul

Completely agree. My father who is a dyed in the wool league supporter only watches test matches and complains about the constant stoppage for referees to chat.

We all know the bloke with the whistle has a difficult role, but it tends to feel like that are looking for cover by group decision.

One small example on the weekend was Koroibetes try in the 67nd minute. He was at least a metre from the sideline and the touch judge was standing right there but still want to send it upstairs to check for touch.

Refereeing is ruining rugby

Well written and thought through as always Jez… You mention the adjustment of seasons allowing for players in premier and super to step up as required and also the issue with various unions not working together. I wonder if nationalising the player contracts as they do in NZ may help create a clear pathway and objective.

'We can’t sugarcoat this': Bring it in tight, Australian rugby

I hope the lifters are also as they have been just as much to blame as the throws… Takes a village to screw up lineouts the way we have been, not just one man.

Wallabies make the call on Quade Cooper, Rodda and Kerevi return, as Bledisloe team is named

Well done Jez

Winners and losers from the Wallabies-France Test series

I agree Choppies, I think FB might be his spot.

Can the Wallabies bank on Banks?

He has a great pass and if he continues to develop could be nipping at heels next season
