Interestingly enough, the rumor of the Japan affaire was released hours before the Wales game by SMH rugby section which BTW it is headed by a kiwi journalist who live in Dunedin and takes Fairfax to frequently publishing NZ press articles, moaning Rennie dismissal and engaged in relentless demonising and dog whistling of AR, McLennan and Jones.
Fair enough if Jones poor performance warrants calls for his sacking and board dismissal. For rugby true believers and AR’s health it will also help if we get also rid of Machiavellian trugby press and forums. Basically the rugby press and forums are being hijacked by NZ journos and trolls

David Moffett, A former boss of the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) has slammed the current state of the game and says he will not be watching the Rugby World Cup.
QUOTE “I’m not watching the Rugby World Cup this year because I refuse to watch a sport where the match officials have such an effect on the result of the game. I don’t think they do it deliberately; I just think that it is the way in which the game is currently being played and the fact that a very important law is completely ignored, which is law 15. If anybody’s interested, you can go and have a look at what it says and essentially it says players at the ruck have to be on their feet and of course, no players are ever on their feet,” he said.
“If you made that one simple choice to get the players to stay on their feet at what’s called a ruck and it’s no longer, it’s no ruck really, then you wouldn’t have all of [these penalties]. For every single breakdown, you can find a penalty and nobody knows what they’re for. The referees are not consistent amongst themselves and sometimes they’re not consistent within themselves. “What did the game go the other day, [like] 120 minutes or something and the ball was in play [for] 35? Why would anybody turn up to watch that? They will at the World Cup because it’s an event but we’ve seen it with NPC crowds [that] are hugely down.” UNQUOTE
“The Inconvenient Truth” . Just kind of surrealism when you get a ref stopping the game on average every 4 to 5 minutes whistling 20 plus penalties. Do the count. They are killing the game, -if it wasn’t already done and buried in oblivion.

Eddie’s appointment and subsequent performance/actions has created a schism between Australian Rugby supporters. Yes you’re right , Eddie’s appointment with or without BS and spin is part of the revolution AR “had to have” after the dark years of of pay tv, Castle, Cheick and Rennie. It is about to rebuild the AR culture and mindset. It is about to ditch the SR -to stop aussie teams being the NZR punching ball and steer away of it – and establish a domestic competition as Phil Vaugh is planning. As Dick Smith said “We would have to be complete dickheads to let most of our famous Australian brands be taken over by foreign companies.”

Don’t mix Wrap – negative- and Brett -positive- articles, please.
Jones tried to put together the bits and pieces left by Rennie -the worst coach in Oz rugby history- with to no avail and now is building future with a core of young players.
Most important, it is the change in mindset -something that Rennie couldn’t even figured out- that Jones and the new generation of players are bringing to the team.
