Ricky Stuart’s comments against the RLPA whilst not suggesting should have been in your column, should be condemned , cue up his mate PK on 360 to continue the attack no doubt.

Hagan’s Round 1 Talking Points: Concussion checks, Dolphins dazzling, Ponga at pivot, Penrith’s GF hangover

Sand through the hour glass. In terms of Coaches at Pressers, Trent Robinson is the Star , Bellamy and Payten good supporting actors, with Adam O’Brien an “extra” at best. Ricky needs to come with a Coarse language warning and not suitable for minors , if we are following your theme.

MICHAEL HAGAN: NRL soap opera keeps us entertained but only strong survive this time of year

AFL have Pride games, I have a pair of socks in the cupboard from Newtown who in NSW Cup had rainbow colours on it from a few years back. Shouldn’t have got to this in 2022. Applaud Trent Robinson and would second his comments. Good ‘luck’ to Des getting his side back on track whilst the 7 players wont even be at the ground to support their team mates!

MICHAEL HAGAN: Hasler faces monumental task to stop jersey fiasco derailing Manly's season

The thing that I would weigh in when Coaches jobs are mentioned is how people say “who’d want to be one”? Whilst not devaluing the pressure that goes with the job, it’s certainly way better than a lot of gigs out there. Media says that Trent has walked away with 500 large in his kick, one would think that gives him some breathing space to sort the next chapter.
As for the Bulldogs, my care factor is zero being a Chook supporter, but if they want a little tip, have a look at the CV of Rip Taylor as a Coach. In 50 years of carrying the Clipboard he was always busy come September!

MICHAEL HAGAN: Why more than just a new coach is needed to fix Dogs' breakfast

I don’t know how, the AFL , are able to have the system they do, I guess nobody challenged the draft as a restraint of trade like Terry Hill did? That aside an end of year where fans get to watch Rookies go through their paces, fitness tests , how fast they run, how high they jump and then ultimately where they end up would be great theatre.
Fans should also have a transfer window, if you’re side is travelling like “ Busteds” you can flick em, mid season?

MICHAEL HAGAN: Magic Round swap meet, end-of-year player auction - how NRL can solve transfer mess

A wise mate once told me, the definition of a good jersey is one you’d wear to a BBQ. Most of them I wouldn’t wear fruit picking!

Sacred garments and fashion faux pas: The 2022 NRL jersey review

Good article, I guess you then would overlay the above analysis over the relative forward packs, given the old cliche of them “Laying the platform”, conversely it’s the halves that then steer the pack. Call me bias, but Chooks are a top four side. Walker named at 6?

MICHAEL HAGAN: Settled halves make NRL top four clear, while others are at sixes and sevens

Glad they didn’t as Blues supporter!
