Extremely amateurish, either way, Bliksem.

'He screwed our state': The act that still angers Twiggy Forrest and why he's not ready to jump back in

Excellent! Thanks Harry. Part of the intellectual vibe flows from the moderately big screen, which poses and answers a question for each whistle. “Reason for scrum?” The answer: “unsuccessful maul.” The result is a lack of outrage; a mass murmur and collective nod.’ And may every game and commentator provide this service!

England conquered, Irish in their sights and 'the only holes Ireland have are exactly where Scottish swords fit'

Way back in the day, my Mum made me wear a red headband so she could see me more easily on the field. (I was a crap player, retired after the U14s.) Maybe Gleeson has the same problem with his Mum?

'Tough call': Reds too good for Tahs in cracking Aussie derby, as controversial penalty try, yellow to Jorgo proves telling

I’m a Tahs’ fan but I liked what the Reds showed last night. Kiss is obviously a clever coach who’s got the team playing an intelligent brand of footy, which could be lethal with more accuracy, a more threatening 5/8 and Uru consistently playing to his massive potential. My wife asked last night if any Oz team could threaten a NZ SRP team, and the Reds look like they could pull it off after a bit more time under Les Kiss.

Lynagh’s kicks lacks length but on last night’s game he looks reliable enough. He’s likely to be tested there.

His face last night looked like that of a dead man walking. I suspect he’s now out of his depth after initially patching up a broken side using his widely reported people skills. But when you compare his coaching record to Les Kiss’s, he’s going to have many more games like last night’s for as long as he’s a head coach at this level. Might now be ready to be an assistant coach.

Best game I’ve seen from Petaia

The events debt? WTH is that about???

Exclusive: Rugby Australia makes sweeping redundancies as governing body braces for 'economic headwinds'

Sounds like three hours I can spend more beneficially watching / doing something else.

'Stands out like dog's balls', 'set up for failure': Wretched Eddie-Slips moment that explains World Cup disaster

Pretty good home season. Now I need to see all the WBs’ 2024 fixtures to get a feel for their workload and expectations. I’m also looking forward to the Melbourne Test vs Wales. Even more so because it’s at AAMI, which is a great stadium for watching rugby. For starters, it’s rectangular. You can’t pay me to go to the hassle of attending another major game – no matter how good – played on a cricket or AFL oval.

Wallabies, Wallaroos fixtures CONFIRMED as Schmidt eyes 'fantastic turnaround challenge' against RWC rivals

Thanks for the authoritative update, Geoff, and promotion of some good ideas. This is not an issue that will go away of its own accord, and if the authorities don’t act decisively soon they’ll quickly find that fewer and fewer parents will let their children play rugby.

The Wrap: Concussion is a key area where Australian rugby can become a leader, not a follower

Well said.

SRP trial teams: Tahs, Rebels name big guns, Reds lose O'Connor as Donno starts for Force

Interesting points. I’ll watch Perese closer.

When do the players get a rest?

Thanks for alerting me to Ruiz. Interesting guy. And best of luck with the busier docket – I’m looking at similar this year at least.

'The putative heir or the actual king': Ireland and France think they're the world's best - the Six Nations opener could settle it

Magnificent writing! Cogent, comprehensive, insightful, funny, so very literate and – maybe best of all – opinionated. Thank you, Harry. Your best ever.

How do you watch a podcast? :–))

'What the hell is going on?': Jilted Wallaby reveals Jones chaos and tells coaching flop to 'at least be honest'

Thanks Geoff, go well. I look forward to doing it all again in 2024, but maybe with a little less melodrama.

The 2023 Wrap: Man who was 'dropped from heaven' and the abject s--t show that followed in his wake

Thanks, Harry. Succinct analysis, cogent examples.

Eight crucial lessons Wallabies must learn from the RWC quarter-finalists

That’s a beautiful essay, thank you Geoff. And, yes, “a glutton of administrators” is a perfectly appropriate and accurate collective noun. I shall share this with my FB friends, if I may. Speaking of other sites, I saw someone masquerading as you elsewhere on the planet. Same mellifluous prose, too … that AI stuff is astonishing! 😂

The World Cup Wrap: France 2023 got a final befitting the host nation - imperfect, baffling and historic

The world’s longest-ever resignation letter is finally submitted.

Eddie Jones quits as Wallabies coach - 'Sometimes you have to eat s--t for others to eat caviar'

I dunno if there’s a game, Ken. I’m waiting for the wife to ask that same question so I can go through the motions of looking up the fixtures list for her. 😔

'Wild honesty and deep anger' vs the 'good company man': Coaching box culture clash at heart of World Cup final

However disruptive Decent’s scoop may have been at the time, it’s a reporter’s job to report the news without fear or favour. Indeed, there should be more of it not less.

COMMENT: RA wanted a Pitbull to bring back some snarl to the Wallabies - Eddie rolled over for a tummy tickle

You want to appoint a bigger egomaniac than Eddie to direct the whole show? Who would be his Nienbar?
