An expatriate Argie to the USA who started playing at the very tender age of 9 in an Irish School in Buenos Aires. He then played club rugby in Argentina. After moving to the USA, he played for his business school and some local clubs. Occasionally helped train skills and also refereed. His interest in writing about rugby came after meeting Graham Henry in New York City. He is most interested in the leadership issues dealing with team function.

James Taylor? I thought he was a singer guitarist.

And this year instead of going to Europe to watch some games, I’m going to Oz to spend time with my family. It’s a difficult trade.

6? The Argentinean?

I’ll have to ask my brother in Sydney. He knows the story well. He introduced him to McQueen.

I think this is the book, but not completely sure now.

Argentina keeps generating these slightly under sized locks and terrific back rowers. Also some clever fast backs. But not very big. Chocobares was the exception but is now hurt.
I am surprised that in the land where 10 is the marquee position (Porta history), we don’t have natural selections post Nico.
We also gave the Aussies Rodriguez and Noriega, but now we have a rooster who is 6-8 inches shorter than necessary, and a “beauty” who needs better rugby to improve. Plus a donut eater that makes Big Ben jealous.

You are forgiven, but we will never forgive the UAR!
All Blacks claim TRC title as Boks fall short of target against clock-killing Pumas
C’mon, Harry. Nobes and I have been mentioning the silly Argie scrums laws for years, especially as a reason for the lack of development of props.
Every time someone asks me about the Puma, my first comment deals with the lack of props…

That’s World Rugby’s job! 😡 😡

I partially disagree. The higher the quality, the higher the consistency.

You realize that Bello plays for a second division team in Italy? And Sclavi has not left any donut uneaten?

BIB, your statement is unfair to Harry.

Manic depression disease, or bipolar disorder is usually a life long condition. When it is diagnosed is another matter.
It is not a psychological issue as it is a neuropsychiatric issue.
An old friend of mine, a retired neuropsychiatrist, used to write about “mental” disease in genius.
Topo lived at my parent’s home when he arrived in Oz. My brother was who found him a place with Warringah. I mentioned before here the circumstances.
Topo Rodriguez: More than a great prop
You shouldn’t have to adapt to each ref. They should ALL be MUCH MORE consistent.
World Rugby has a serious issue. And they’re doing nothing about it.

39, I repeat, 39 penalties in 80 minutes. This is ridiculous.
Anyway, when this started I said the Pumas needed better/more props. I was right.
I’m also STILL not sure Cheika is the right guy.
I’m also encouraged that many players did really well.
And that we beat the ABs in their home.
Somewhere I also said that 10 was a difficult position for all Tier 1 nations. Also right, so far.

I told you last week. It is not the referee’s fault he’s whistle happy.
It is World Rugby that allows these people to become the centers of attention.
And by the way, pot calling kettle black about wasting time. The horror of that, eh? A Saffa complaining about time wasting? I’m shocked!
Again, after ten minutes watching, I just went for a bike ride. I can watch with fast forward on the remote later.

Were you the one complaining about Lavanini in a different post?
Losing credibility quickly.
'System is broken': Darcy Swain's ban is far too light, SANZAAR's judiciary process is failing the game
Lavanini was pinged not for a specific foul play but for tackling within the 10 meters in a penalty. Swain’s behavior has been much more disgusting this year than Lavanini. Wake up. Two events of poor nature. A head butt and a broken knee. WTF?
