Another super piece Dean. I’m looking forward to your next article, particularly with your thoughts on how Wests move forward after the injury to Douehi.

Pulling the Tigers' teeth: Lies, damn lies and statistics

A good read, and I can’t disagree with too many of your points.

Players need to learn to play off Koroisau better, including the fullback. Even though Laurie is more creative, I see Staines as a safer option. He will sniff around the ruck, is better under the high ball and is defensively in position more.

As for Brooks and Doueihi, I agree they can’t play together. I see Doueihi as more of a centre than a half, but not sure if he thinks that. He is also defensively suspect. Watch Parramatta try and isolate him on Monday.

Pulling the Tigers' teeth: Part 1 - Is this squad as bad as they're showing?

Centre or nowhere for Doueihi. It’s the only position he’s good at.

ANALYSIS: The Tigers are a rabble, Doueihi is not a fullback and the Broncos are a serious threat

Not sure you got your facts completely right here. You mention kick metres – “1533 compared to the first-placed Panthers with 3567”.

1st Kick metres Parramatta 16 000m
13th Kick metres Wests 12 345m
Source: Foxsports

Biggest issue that needs to be better is:
Runs
1st Parramatta 4783
14th Wests 3655
Run metres
1st Penrith 41 184m
15th Wests 31 027m

Wests also had the 2nd worst metres per carry at 8.49m compared to Penrith at over 9m. Sheens has fixed up the biggest weakness (the forward pack) by bringing in Papali’i, Bateman and Klemmer, and getting Koroisau as hooker to put them on the front foot.

And no, all Tigers did not want Hastings paired with Doueihi. Not saying Brooks is perfect, but I love it how everyone blames him, but he’s not the biggest issue. it’s been the forward pack that has been ordinary.

Tigers 2023 Outlook: An old playbook with modern twists but will spending spree pay off for wooden spooners?

You lost me at support for GWS.

Sixteen years of travesty: Wests Tigers and the miracle premiership that solved nothing

Cleary seems to be a protected species.

Belter of a reply Crow! Don’t think you’ll get picked up by The Betoota Advocate in a hurry.

MIA: Has anyone seen this Bronco?

Is anyone else getting sick and tired of the negative comments and articles towards Milford and other players; Hunt, Brooks, Norman etc? I dislike the Broncos with a passion, but this and other articles are becoming tiresome and boring.

MIA: Has anyone seen this Bronco?

I’m glad someone is calling him out for what he is, over-rated and over-hyped. Sure he can kick, but Luai has been carrying him this year and has made him look good.
Try assists, Luai 23, Cleary 17 (mostly from kicks)
Line break assists, Luai 20, Cleary 11

Nathan Cleary's protected status in the NSW side has become embarrassing

Maybe you could write a 5 part series. I’m looking forward to the second and subsequent instalments…
1. The penalty try was wrong. Change my mind
2. That wasn’t an obstruction. It should have been a try. Prove me wrong
3. Fair try. Why it’s not a shepherd to run behind your player anymore
4. Gus Gould isn’t biased. He’s just honest
5. Salty? Why too much salt is bad for your diet

The penalty try was wrong. Change my mind

Thankfully I only have to listen to Ch9’s dribble for 1 premiership game a year.

Gould’s one-eyed commentary was ordinary.

Four talking points from the NRL grand final

Just to clarify things for you Rodger. Yes, some players do receive packages over the minimum yearly wage.

A-League enters death spiral

Where’s the extra money going to come from for this? Presently, the juniors partially finance seniors in NPL clubs.

You do realise that plenty of NPL players get paid very good money – well above the national minimum wage.

A-League enters death spiral

I don’t agree with the sin-binning at all, but if Tevaga went, Brown also had to go for retaliating with a knee in the head.

'That's ridiculous': Is this the softest sin-binning ever?

Luke Brooks defence? Maybe you need to get your facts straight. No missed tackles on the weekend and only 19 missed all season. He’s nowhere near the top 50 players in tackles missed.
