Pongs was alright on his return too so
I stand corrected but it wasn’t against the Panther pack!

REVEALED: Brad Fittler names NSW Blues team for State of Origin 1

Mate it was his first game back for a month and was playing behind a pack that was getting recycled and pumped. Give the young man a break mate. The only player I’ve seen in the last however long come back and have a blinder was Tommy and if you really wanted to, you could smack him down for his effort against the knights. Humans mate, every now and then they can play heads down footy.

Tend to agree with you 100% mate. Freddys head is in club land.. he keeps trying to build a team for the future and I reckon this is why origin is starting to lose its shine in my opinion.
Rep footy is about putting the best players on show as a reward for their club form period! Instead we have these decisions made around developing combinations blah blah blah. Half the fun is seeing how the best play with each other and watching them gel over the 4 or so weeks, not just another NRL match with the plays we’ve seen already.
Cody Walker (class, tough and deserves his spot) Pangai Jnr (tough, ill disciplined, talented, I want to watch) Api Korasou (cmorn really, hasn’t blown a candle out since he came back) Liam Martin (like you said, sits behind Capewell and well he is pretty plain but one has to admire the effort he puts in.. keep him in club land)
Bring back the old days please, stop trying to build a club and start building a 3 game exhibition of the best and the badass and let it fly!

Haha so all the great minds of league are wrong… except you and your little mate over there that you’ve just found.
Maybe you’re wrong 😂 😱 👍

I will take walker over both of them bloke. Outstanding footballer. It’s a bad joke if wighton gets the nod anywhere in front of Cody mate. Lui is good but doesn’t have the class of Cody yet.. which is on full display every time the Panthers score if you watch him. Poor form!!

Can this NSW team win back the Origin shield?

Crichton over Latrell??… I’m bias mate but as much as Crichton is a good young player no doubt, he has a way to go before he can lace his shoes with the likes of Latrell & Trjbovic
I also don’t understand why Walker is not half or 14 locked in no argument. He is quite obviously one of the top players in the NRL and has been incredible all season. Cleary still hasn’t dominated origin yet but we keep picking players around him… I have no doubt of his ability at all mind you but facts are facts.

Can this NSW team win back the Origin shield?

Panthers v Souths tale of the tape.
Panthers are cruising into this at full strength while the busted bunnies are just getting their main men back on deck after a disrupted 4 weeks but still without gun star forward and try saving specialist Cam Murray which is going to hurt.
It would be too easy to say the Panthers will win this. Prior to losing their A troops the bunnies were just as hot as the Panthers and arguably more dangerous in attack.
The Panthers are all about controlled clinical sustained brilliance as much as the rabbits are all about shock & awe.
How rusty is Latrell & does Graham back from a 1 month injury, does he have the legs too expose dynamic yet flighty centre in Burton. Reynolds is on his second game back from injury and should be ready for a big one now that his contract saga has been sorted. If Reynolds at his best was a MMA athlete, he would get you to the ground and keep you there until you ran out of the will to fight.
Cody back to 5/8 after sharpening his footwork playing at fullback for the last 4 games and will be pumped for this as he battles young gun Luai for the origin jersey, this will be an epic battle between the two halves. Classic experience vs youth, class vs talent and a mixture of both.
Make no mistake, this right here is the Panthers biggest test this year now that the rabbit spine is back in place.
I only wish young Murray was back on deck and Latrell had a couple of matches under his belt but it is what it is.
If Bunnies can come out and fire early, with Walker and Mitchell on the front foot they have shown they can stack up some serious points in a ridiculously short amount of time.
Panthers need to hold their form and not get rattled, more importantly a few of the big fellas need to make sure they don’t get any sin bins for high shots under fatigue & frustration.
You don’t want to be facing either of these teams with a 12 man defensive line.
Have to go with the rabbits here if only to take up the good odds.
People with short memories have forgotten just how deadly they have been, even in second gear, and only the Storm have beaten them this year… so far.

The Roar’s NRL expert tips and predictions: Round 11

What the??

Souths are going to win the NRL premiership... next year

It’s hype based on last years results and this years talent pickups mate. Although the charity shield is always more than a trial the result was 100% expected and hasn’t really added any weight to my optimism. I just think we are near perfect is all

Souths are going to win the NRL premiership... next year

Lock in Friday morning Walter I am up for it. Storm= no chance

Souths are going to win the NRL premiership... next year

Our mighty captain also wears a premiership ring Sammy. I said last year, this year so buy the champers, cheer up and get ready for the best season of the Rabbitohs modern era.
The only team capable of going with our young pack is the Panthers but I reckon we have them covered for points from inside 20 as long as latrell & cody stay on the park.
No other team can go with us for 80 minutes with these new rules mate. We may go missing but only for a week or two.
Glory glory is ours again!!

Souths are going to win the NRL premiership... next year

It’s just unfortunate the buzzard dropped out of the sky for this one. In one foul swipe of his spittle covered beak, all credibility was lost and 99% of us stopped caring, knowing full well the facts will get quickly bludgeoned under the weight of the buzzards excretement.
The only silver lining is that little big man Kenty (u) didn’t flap his black gums all over it whilst the buzzard was online the same room.. or did this happen? Either way, Kenty (u) or Buzzard is an immediate vomit in mouth experience for me abd I assume many others.

Time to once more embrace rugby league’s beautiful chaos

He is due for a loss, south’s are due, latrell is due, smith us awol… it’s a perfect bunnies storm!! Oh wait what a headline!#jameshooper

My NRL top eight for 2021

I got 5 of yours in my 8 mate. It’s just going to be one of those years right!
I will offer you one chance to swap over 1 & 2 before round 1 when the bunnies make it absolutely clear to everyone that the charity shield was just a trial… RD1 will be for real and that will not be good for the storm.

My NRL top eight for 2021

Tend to agree. Having enjoyed how cook
& walker play off the back of a Murray charge and play the ball for a few years now, I can only be an advocate for a small middle forward but one who can tackle his heart out. They aren’t falling off trees mind you…

Should every NRL side have a small middle forward?

You get a car… you get a car… youuu get a car….youuuuu get A CAR.. Y’ALL GET A CARRR!!!
“Extract from beer and nuts meeting at kogarah RSL- Griffingate”

Does anyone know what’s doing at the Dragons?

Say what??
Half truths and wild unsubstantiated opinion? Get off your moral high horse bro, I made it quite clear that everyone, including the experts are guessing their way through this and without discussion of all possibilities/theories you are basically following a system of mandate that has failed the population an inconceivable amount of times as proven unequivocally by history.
You want to toe your line mate you go for it baba but don’t you turn someone else’s comments Into something that they aren’t just so you can validate the truth as you see it. Poor form, I’m out of this..

Cartwright can say no to his flu shot, but the NRL should say no to him

Hey Baz.. they can’t enforce the “no jab no play” (Scomo is a joke) as there is no defendable evidence you could possibly bring to a court of law that would prove the effectiveness of the flu vaccine itself let alone its role to play in preventing covid. There is even suggestions from the medical community that the flu vaccine gives you greater exposure to covid? Everyone is guessing their way through this understandably, unless you read comments on this post which clearly illustrates we have the worlds greatest crack team of covid analysts and scientists who have this all sorted out for us.
So they can’t make it mandatory or they will be neck deep in the next Israel Folau case x 20 and ethically you just cannot enforce something into someone’s body unless you are damn sure it’s necessary.. next time y’all are visiting your GP, ask Doc if he/she gets the flu shot hey.. the answers will shock most of you.

Cartwright can say no to his flu shot, but the NRL should say no to him

Sooo if you have an opinion different to the government mandate therefore you cannot have choice about your occupation? You associate freedom of choice with a stereotype! You are talking dangerous stuff mate.

Cartwright can say no to his flu shot, but the NRL should say no to him

Haha you are misinforming each other which just absolutely highlights what little we know about:
A. Covid19 itself
B. Effectiveness of flu vaccines to prevent flu
C. Effectiveness of flu vaccines to prevent spread of covid
So stop talking rubbish people, you don’t know f’all about it (fact: world experts still scrambling) yet you are spruiking your opinions as though they are facts to the point where you are actually bullying and putting down young Bryce and others over their decision, which really is weak as…

Cartwright can say no to his flu shot, but the NRL should say no to him

I would like to see similar to EPL but on our scale.
You got your top 12 Teams who play NRL and attract major sponsors etc and then you have tier 2 ARL (example) then NSWRL and QRL.
Bottom 1 or 2 teams of NRL get dropped to ARL, bottom teams ARL get booted to either NSWRL or QRL based on their location and obviously the reverse for club promotion.
This would make the game extremely competitive both on and off the field.. employ many more players.. involve more local sponsors.. grassroots footy flourishes.. pathways clearly defined.. always a game on tv somewhere.. more crowds at live games creating more secondary employment opportunities and like EPL fans will still support their clubs and become members through thick and thin.
I for one would follow the bunnies no matter what division they were in and still hate the roosters etc. End of season would be terribly exciting would it not!!

The NRL will be back, better than ever

Yeah Josh, Mal was bang on about The whole thing including media beat ups aka personal attacks.
Cooper is still learning but a few articles misquoting him, taking comments out of context and/or outrightly lying will develop his callouses.

Latrell Mitchell may return to centres

I don’t think so mate. I’m over the way Kent, Gus and company go about their business nowadays. They are just turning into sport versions of Alan Jones and other outdated outspoken fossils that need to be out of the spotlight.

Latrell Mitchell may return to centres

They actually offered him 800k a year before “letting him go” mate

Latrell Mitchell may return to centres

Geez 2 games into the season under extraordinary circumstances and the fossils are lining up to put the boot in.
The Roosters old boys club Gus, Cronk & Freddy are frothing at the mouth to make it known what a mistake Latrell made blah blah.
Obviously he is down in confidence and down on himself but this is what champions go through to become champions.. it’s not an easy path he has chosen and nor should it be.
These fellas are actually isolating Latrell through the media and i reckon they are taking it too far bordering on, if not bullying which I don’t find acceptable in society at all.
Ash Taylor went through the same thing and now they are onto Latrell. Time to go fellas….

Latrell Mitchell may return to centres
