no no no no no no, this wont do, any talk of “finals” & “dragons” must be suppressed. everyone knows those two words are mutually exclusive. dragons need to be flying under the radar, attracting no interest, left unspoken, low profile, unheralded and most of all not the word on everyone’s lips. from now on, they should simply be referred to as “the team that shall remain nameless”.

the flop is my pet hate at the moment. i really dont see why if the tackle is called this ridiculous “submission/dominate” by the ref, then its ok for another defender to basically trot in and lie on top.
if the player with the ball is grassed by a good, low tackle his progress is stopped, the ball has touched the ground. yes, he’s been “dominated” by the defence, that’s not a reason for a 105kg backrower to dive in.

i’m definitely no footy expert but i’ve watched it for a long time, & i cannot remember seeing a 1st grade team shredded so badly thru the middle like that. Parra’s big name forwards looked incapable of any resilience.

greg, i was happy that the Dragons got up, but it wasnt based on much more that effort and intent. Flicka added some much needed spark, which the Tiges didnt seem to show. your fullback is a gun, and hopefully that new kid at No6 kicks on. Jerome next year & Benji (if coaching doesnt swallow him whole) is a good fit. Chin up Tigers.

on the plus side – a win is a win and Saints look more committed & willing, Kyle is offering more than just nepotism, and Hame Sele.
on the down side – Tiges were pretty bad so its not like a giant leap forward, shape in attack still dont look right, someone tell Moses to play deeper, and T.Eisenhuth might ask to play centre again.

hmm, you might have a point there. Wally Gator, Coyne, Bartrim – most of the good ones we got early and knocked the pineapple off their shoulder before turning them into real players. some of them, like Gordi, were just sooks anyway and unwanted.
i was sorry to see Kerr go, if he can get his fitness up with more minutes, he’s a real handful.
