yes Adam, but he still came out of the draft and changed the patriots fortunes immensely

'Tired of seeing the Storm be so dominant': Why the NRL needs a draft

I dont like how clubs chase players whilst there still in high school because they are pressured to much which is why i would rather a draft system.

'Tired of seeing the Storm be so dominant': Why the NRL needs a draft

Hey Glory bound, thanks for informing me about Terry Hills court case win in 1991. The RLPA will be extremely hard to get past which is a huge block that is in the road. Another negative would be teams tanking which would wreck the entertainment towards the end of the season when we see teams who have no chance in making the finals trying to lose.

Hey Paul, yes iv’e taken a break from writing rugby league but have started writing about the NFL and NBA during the off-season. I think thats where i have got this crazy draft thought from 😂

I just feels as if the draft would be a great way to mix the competition up a little bit and know that in the coming future that there is a bit of hope if your a supporter of a struggling team.

'Tired of seeing the Storm be so dominant': Why the NRL needs a draft

That did sound like a great cure for jet lag !

'Tired of seeing the Storm be so dominant': Why the NRL needs a draft

It could do the exact opposite of widening the gap as the worst teams will bet the better rookies in their side to even the playing field.

'Tired of seeing the Storm be so dominant': Why the NRL needs a draft

Happens all the time Nat, Patriots were a worthless team and when Brady was drafted they went on to win 6 superbowls with him. Another great example is Russel Westbrook who was taken in the 2008 draft. He attracted other superstars like Kevin Durant and James Harden who were then formed into a big 3.

'Tired of seeing the Storm be so dominant': Why the NRL needs a draft

Yes hard yards i feel like because im so young i have a different thought process compared to all the older heads. You make a great point that people fear change and i thought that the best scouting teams will know what the best players to explore and draft. Plus the teams like Melbourne who would have the worst picks could find steals and diamonds in the rough.

'Tired of seeing the Storm be so dominant': Why the NRL needs a draft

I somewhat agree Andrew, however the recruitment staff will still be used to find draft prospects and attempt to find diamonds in the rough.

Hey Albo, i appreciate the support and im afraid to say that your Chiefs knocked off my packers on the weekend 😢

The chiefs are still the best team in the AFC West in my opinion as i think haven’t fully fund there best football yet and im sure they will find it, plus they’ve got 5 wins which is tied for first place is their division so im sure they will come out on top of the division when its all said and done.

Yes JGK, as a packers fan myself i think that the loss of Rodgers has more impact then the three that we were without against the Cardinals.

Beating the cardinals solidified our spot at the number 1 spot but this situation has turned the NFC on its head.

The premiership is no longer a two-horse race

Big Mig this is another one of your great comments, i agree with what your saying. come finals time if the Rabbitohs can play at their absolute most best i believe they can do a-lot of damage to the heavy weight contenders around them.

The premiership is no longer a two-horse race

This is a great point mate, however i know the storm are always locked in at finals time but i dont believe much until the finals come.
