Relying on the umpires to win a game is a recipe for disaster and the good news is we only have two more interstate matches for the year
'Very challenging one': AFL back ump's 'correct approach' in last-gasp non-HTB controversy... but admit free was there
Swings and roundabouts, I am still traumatised by the 2019 ANZAC day match
Footy Fix: Ferocious, fast and fantastically coached - stuff the controversy, let's give the Dons the respect they deserve
Nah he dropped the inside leg and raised the shoulder to drag the arm high. Not a free kick.
WATCH: 'What a joke!' Tex blows up at ump over hugely controversial last second non-call
It was a miscarriage of justice, and definitely a free kick..,a free kick to big Sammy who had Tex falling straight into his back
'Very challenging one': AFL back ump's 'correct approach' in last-gasp non-HTB controversy... but admit free was there
He’s young, he will learn from those. Particularly as he has moved to the midfield recently so I have no doubt he was tired
Footy Fix: Ferocious, fast and fantastically coached - stuff the controversy, let's give the Dons the respect they deserve
Yes it was a free kick…a free kick to big Sammy when Walker dove straight into his back.
That’s not to say anything about Tex dropping at the knees earlier. The other thing I noticed last night is the bombers have been relatively accurate but they packed all their inaccuracy into one match hopefully it doesn’t become a trend.
Footy Fix: Ferocious, fast and fantastically coached - stuff the controversy, let's give the Dons the respect they deserve
Yeah I honestly think that something will need to give with the dogs they’re recruited too tall. I don’t think they’ll lose Darcy because he’s showing his stuff but Croft and English are very much in danger
Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why
What was the reason he missed last night anyways?
Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why
Oh yeah I have little doubt that he will be very good for the bulldogs in years to come I hope they’re smart enough not to play him in the ruck
Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why
Yeah it was a strange coaching decision by Brad Scott, but I get that the harm that would have been done by playing Nik Cox on him would have been far worse. Personally I think Zach Reid is the best opponent on the Essendon list but he can’t get on the park
Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why
I dunno about that when he can be beaten by Mason Redman who is 21 centimetres shorter than Darcy he needs some work
Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why
I would use the guillotine as a metaphor. If Bevo was sitting in the bascule with his head in the lunette after last night Ross has replaced him. Yeah a week is a long time in footy but last nights match revealed some fundamental flaws in the Saints gamestyle, and that is the exceptionally low ceiling of the saints as a whole, the bombers are inconsistent but they have a high ceiling like that Greek soccer coach in the meme. Ross’ skill has always been getting the absolute most out of his worst players.
Footy Fix: The Saints were ten times as rubbish as the Dogs were last week - and it's worth working out why
Yeah they managed to get out of it when the Blues got wrecked for their brown paper bags
Luke Beveridge is on borrowed time - he's an inconsistent coach who gets inconsistent results
Yeah they don’t have the brother that’s good at coaching though. Mark McVeigh is the superior coach because of his experience at the Giants and the ACT/NSW side last year
Luke Beveridge is on borrowed time - he's an inconsistent coach who gets inconsistent results
The thing that was most impressive about Sheedy was he was able to take four extremely different lists to winning grand finals. Yes he should have won more flags particularly after 2000 where they were historically good. But the fact that they were able to win the flag multiple times throughout the eighties and nineties but also the coaching landscape was very different back then.
I think Bevos biggest problem is a man management one. He doesn’t know how to develop and get the best out of the players on his list. I think you can look at how they’ve managed Jedd Busslinger he should have come in already and he hasn’t.
Luke Beveridge is on borrowed time - he's an inconsistent coach who gets inconsistent results
The thing is they don’t need to go with Kirk, Dean cox is extremely highly rated as an assistant.

Dw Josh Eyre is superior more an athlete than a footballer.
AFL News: Pies flag hero announces concussion-forced retirement, Larkey confident North can turn season around
Clarko will quit around the middle of next year I reckon. There is a lot more pain due for this club and their first step to getting over it is getting over their messiah complex
AFL News: Pies flag hero announces concussion-forced retirement, Larkey confident North can turn season around
1.Norf are my favourites for pick one, they never should have traded Ben McKay, if anything it was wilful on their part and therefore they should be denied pick one and the assistance package. 2. I was very sad to hear of Nathan Murphy, I hope he is able to get the care that he needs as he needs to prioritise his health at this time.

So much for protecting the head

Honestly? The issue rests with both fans and social media outlets themselves. They do an absolutely horrendous job of moderating the worst behaviour on their platforms
Social media trolling of our sportspeople has its newest victim - but Sonja Hood won't be the last unless we take a stand
Yeah getting good smalls is really tough they know a lot of skills that aren’t easy to teach. That’s why Jake Kelly is still a walk up starter at the bombers
Footy Fix: How the Bombers brained the Bulldogs - and Bevo - with their most brutal nine minutes in a decade
Honestly it would be a mistake for the eagles to offer the kind of money required to extract English from the western bulldogs. You’re right that the list does have holes but I think they’ve been exacerbated by Bevo rather than fixed. As soon as they offered Liam Jones a three year deal when he was already over thirty was the wrong call if he wasn’t the last piece they needed. I am wondering what on earth they’re trying to do with Jedd Busslinger, or Arthur jones who have both misfired a lot. It reeks of draft busts
Footy Fix: How the Bombers brained the Bulldogs - and Bevo - with their most brutal nine minutes in a decade
Honestly only winning one flag with the list that he has had is under performing
Footy Fix: How the Bombers brained the Bulldogs - and Bevo - with their most brutal nine minutes in a decade
Nah Fantasia was pick 55, Rachele was pick 6.
