Footy Fix: The best Anzac Day classic since the first one confirms the Pies are back... and the Bombers are for real
As much as it pains to admit I don’t think we are there yet but I think with a couple shrewd acquisitions this trade period we will surprise some teams
Footy Fix: The best Anzac Day classic since the first one confirms the Pies are back... and the Bombers are for real
I think the fact of the matter is we are showing we can tough it out with the best of them.
Footy Fix: The best Anzac Day classic since the first one confirms the Pies are back... and the Bombers are for real
I think a few things: it’s not just that it was a draw, like a low scoring torrid affair that’s become the specialty of Ross Lyon, but a high scoring free flowing affair that used the expanses of the G to the best effect. I think we can’t say the bombers are legitimate contenders yet because they’ve beaten the sides they weren’t supposed to beat and they’ve only started as favourites in one match which shows the disconnect externally and internally. I think if they smash west coast next week the lid is off and I will become insufferable.

I just gonna say full credit to the bloke who took the photo that leads this article
Footy Fix: Tigers try to drag Dees down to their level and beat them with experience - and it nearly works
West Coast are being sensible unlike every other club that has run first overall picks to an early career end. The next two weeks will be interesting for West Coast as they’re playing two sides that expected to be on the lower end of the middle six, and we will see how much they’ve learned from this year
AFL News: Eagle learns fate from Tribunal, Reid on track to be $1 million teenager, Cats star makes contract call
Because mason Redman was suspended Jesse Hogan needs to be suspended. The tribunal needs to focus on consistently upholding precedent more than anything else because right now they’ve been woeful and the afl as a whole is gonna pay the price
Mixed news for Giants as Greene, Hogan Tribunal verdicts revealed
Honestly? The tribunal should possess the ability to increase punishments as well as levy the ten thousand dollar soft cap fine
AFL News: 'Shame for our game' - legend unloads on Greene ban, 'world's gone mad' as skinfold tests punted
The other thing they need to fix is rather than levying static fines based on the offence the amount of the fine needs to be based on the match payments and overall salary of the player themselves.
The AFL's Tribunal system is an overcomplicated mess designed to create drama - it needs a radical overhaul, fast
Pick 40* I think that’s at least partially explained by the fact that the Suns and Giants are entirely new franchises without an adequate history of father son picks to equalise the competition. Personally think bring back the academies for the Melbourne clubs but remove the discount and one of the picks used needs to be within 18 picks of the matched bid (I’d even lower that to 5 picks as a method of equalisation).
'Murky decision-making, novice administration and unaccountable governance' - how the AFL has fallen
Les is back!? Pretty hard to find topics to write about now that you can’t eviscerate Nathan Buckley (which I actually found extremely entertaining).
'Murky decision-making, novice administration and unaccountable governance' - how the AFL has fallen
I have a simple solution, prohibit lawyers involvement in tribunal proceedings at all. Lawyers so frequently misunderstand the potential to cause harms, and as a result they use minor technicalities to get players off
The AFL's Tribunal system is an overcomplicated mess designed to create drama - it needs a radical overhaul, fast
Merely instituting a false sense of security in their rivals, an Essendon premiership is inevitable
Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos
Then Freo need to invest aggressively in development and scouting because there are afl standard players in the WAFL look at Nic Martin for example
Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos
Yeah I remember Fremantle picking up Johnson, Erasmus and Amiss in the draft was pretty good I think they have too many midfielders that do the same thing. Brayshaw, Serong and Fyfe they are good but they’re one paced and unable to make differences in the middle
Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos
Took him long enough two years wiped out from injury
Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos
Yup or Shai Bolton but Richmond will make a deal with the devil to keep him.

Does Jesse hogan rescue stray cats and whatnot?
Monster Tribunal night confirmed as Giants challenge Greene, Hogan bans, Eagles appeal star's dangerous tackle
That is true you gotta do crazy stuff to get suspended at amateur footy
Monster Tribunal night confirmed as Giants challenge Greene, Hogan bans, Eagles appeal star's dangerous tackle
Neither of them have played the real front runners; Essendon.
Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos
I do feel for the classical plodder, the big midfielders that can’t get a look in these days since they’ve been trying to free up the game. I reckon if you’re gonna play mid these days you need to be able to do something else
Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos
Yeah those sort of players are hard to find. I reckon Freo shouldn’t ask the question of Sydney to get Logan McDonald but Essendon to get Nic Martin
Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos
I don’t think they do that at AFL level.
Monster Tribunal night confirmed as Giants challenge Greene, Hogan bans, Eagles appeal star's dangerous tackle
It’s precedent. They set it when they suspended Redman, so the suspension should hold
Monster Tribunal night confirmed as Giants challenge Greene, Hogan bans, Eagles appeal star's dangerous tackle
I don’t wanna jinx it but I sneakily reckon we are gonna drop a game against west coast or north
