The much-hyped Overwatch League enjoyed an incredibly successful first week, peaking at over 440,000 viewers – but critics had plenty to say about its…

I mean personally I don’t like Symmetra so whether or not she’s buffed is more a meme than anything else, but I agree – without re-tooling them in the vein of what they might be doing to Hanzo or did to Mercy, it’s hard to see where they can go.
Overwatch League has become better since the Mercy meta’s departure
If only the rest of my team understood these points XD
Couldn’t agree more, though – watching League and playing Mystery Heroes have been two of the greatest sources of improvement to my game. Went from Low gold in Season 3, when I started, to Diamond in Season 8.
Three things I learned to improve my game from watching Overwatch League
The Mercy patch has been long overdue and should really make the game more balanced for the other healers.
Personally, I think Blizzard’s been 100% vindicated about the League. 100k viewers on average for every game – even for lower-profile teams – is exactly what they would have hoped for, and the closing skill gap is exactly what I predicted would happen. The finals for Stage 1 are going to be really interesting!
The Overwatch League is about to get interesting
Both of those ideas are really good, actually. Explaining the game in such a way that even brand new viewers would understand certain elements and characters would be fantastic. And supports naturally sit toward the back so you’d have an all-over view – would be better than Genjis zipping around all over the place!
Overwatch League has its issues but should only get stronger with time
This could be the most balanced Overwatch has ever been. No hero is a must-pick anymore and only Symmetra will probably continue to get left behind. Personally I’m hoping to see a lot more Moira.
As stage two approaches, what impact will the newest patch have on the Overwatch League?
Turner wasn’t selected because his shoulder’s a bit messed up and he cant bowl and has limited fielding capabilities apparently.

I’d pick that as my top 4 too, but I definitely think the Scorchers will struggle to win both their remaining games against the Strikers and Hobart. I have a feeling they’ll lose to Hobart but I’d be very surprised if they don’t bring it home in their final WACA game. Too much on the line!
And on that vein I think if they do get a home final they’d be hard to stop. The sheer volume that would come out of a sold-out crowd, however many tickets they cap it at, would dramatically boost the morale and efforts of the Scorchers. If they finish top of the ladder they’ll be real hard to go past to get a fourth title.
BBL07: Five teams left genuinely pushing for the semis, but not for long
Really impressed with the Valiant. London and Seoul were no surprise, but even if this season WAS a two-horse race, I think you’ll find that if the League continues, the gap will close between the South Korean and remaining teams quite organically.
Overwatch League's first week shows this won't be the two-horse race we feared
Glad for both of them, especially Mitch, who well needed a good run of form and deserves all the praise he’s getting.
Are the Marsh brothers here to stay?
It would be a real shame for Brazil to lose such a historic and interesting GP – when it rains there’s few tracks that rival it for interest. If this keeps happening, however, and staff and fans alike are both in danger, then the owners need to recognise that and choose a better location. There are plenty of circuits and countries desparate for an F1 race.
It's time Formula One reconsidered the Brazilian Grand Prix
Definitely an interesting future ahead. It will be interesting to see how Liberty approach Ferrari compared to Bernie’s attitude. If Ferrari were to pull out… is that a version of Formula One anyone really wants to see?
In the end, some teams are always going to have more money than others unless you move in a stock-car direction, and that’s not what F1 is fundamentally about. Having three to four teams contest for the lead is as close to the ideal situation as we can get right now.
Engine row misses Formula One's real problems
Very strange that the Overwatch boys didn’t respond to Mangachu’s Pharah at all. Their Soldier 76 play in the qualifiers was really good – bizarre that they weren’t willing to switch at all until the game was already over. Still, good showing against a good team.

Hoo boy this is tough to watch. We haven’t been playing a fast enough pace to scare them at all.

Red Bull definitely top in my mind this season. Mercedes are performing as expected so nothing out of the ordinary there, but RBR have produced the goods far more often than anyone thought they might. Keen to see how they will finish the second half of the season.
Formula One winners week: The teams
Must confess, although I don’t think they’ve quite nailed down the live aspects of their coverage, their highlights are superb, and much easier to access than Fox’s used to be.
Optus' EPL coverage is a massive fail, and fans aren't happy
For me the big questions is where Ricciardo ends up in 2019. Could legitimately go to Ferrari or Mercedes, or stay at Red Bull. Bottas and Raikkonen would be dropped without question if their teams believe Ricciardo would benefit their team and win them titles, and he could – is one of the top five drivers on the grid, and probably one of the top two or three for overtaking.
I personally believe he’ll replace Bottas and give us a cracking three-way battle for the title with Hamilton and Ferrari next year.
