I’m glad others have commented on this. If we are serious about head Injuries and player safety – being accidental shouldn’t matter. The player should have run a ‘safer’ line back to position or face the consequences. Likewise a HIA should have been done – we all saw it? Too much emphasis on the ‘result’ W rather than winning because you are better/superior. The 2 high jumpers in the Olympic that shared Gold – neither of them won but they are interested in the gold rather than actually winning. I don’t want to win because I am sneakier, or have the win handed to me – it only means something to me if I win fair and square or I’m just lying to myself. Golfing with your mates, do you play it where it lies – or kick it slightly for an easier shot to the pin….

I know the Reds snatched 3 x victories this year against the brumbies – but I still think the brumbies are the premier team in Oz at the moment on the back of their clear and mature game plan, set piece work and coaching. If the reds can repeat these results again next year – as well as and grow and improve then maybe then they’ll be the standard bearers… top game and games though! Forgot to add – also very much enjoying the NZ games as well. I don’t know why but I also feel the seperate comps will add more weight to the achievement of the eventual winners of the trans Tasman comp.

I’m really liking the current SRAU then separate Trans Tasman comps format. If SANZAAR were to reform as ANZASAFMP I’d still want the domestic comp to run first and be separate – ie no local derbies during the international comp.

Reds will need to improve on last weeks performance if they are any chance to win. If they are disciplined and tight the first 15 minutes I might be able to relax a little.
