A passionate sports fan who enjoys watching my Demons, Eels, and Rockets. Often watching the Dees play over a couple of beers. I enjoy the analysis and fantasy that the thrill of sports can provide.

Depends on when Roughead hands over the captaincy really, in these articles, I’m selecting each club’s next skipper on the assumption that they hand it over once their 30 years old, however it doesn’t happen more often than it does

Who will be your club's next captain? Part 4

Yeah, depends on when Selwood hands over the captaincy. In the series, I’m predicting the next captain on the basis they hand it over once they reach 30, which obviously doesn’t usually happen, like Bob Murphy getting the captaincy in his 30’s for 3 years, depends on when each captain hands it over really on who the next captain will be

Who will be your club's next captain? Part 3

I personally think Howe should have got in over Yeo

AFL All Australia snubs: Who was unlucky to miss out?

Well, another few years of mediocrity for Collingwood, hey? Wonder if they’re trying to see how low Bucks can get them on the ladder? Haha

"He's not perfect" - but Pies re-sign Nathan Buckley anyway

Prediction for when the finals will be played:
Thursday night – Port v West Coast
Friday night – Geelong v Richmond
Saturday arvo – Adelaide v GWS
Saturday night – Sydney v Essendon

UPDATED: AFL finals fixture 2017 week 1 - Who plays who, when and where

Both of Mick_Lions and Mattyb have a point. It would be possible for a young practical joking pest to develop into a leader around the club. I mean Heath Shaw was part of the ratpack at Collingwood, but despite his joking ways, is seen as a leader around the Giants and basically can be an on-field coach.

Who will be your club's next captain? Part 1

Brisbane have shown some exciting signs, watch them become successful again in the next 5-10 years

Brisbane Lions season review

Thank you Mattyb, also, once the top ten reorder series is over, I know people have wanted me to list the unlucky players, however there is a reason I haven’t. I’ll go back again to 1995 and I’ll reorder pick 11-20.

2013 top ten AFL draft reorder

Col from Brissie, Zac Williams (Pick 10) and Dane Rampe (Pick 6) in the 2012 top ten draft reorder – http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/08/24/2012-top-ten-afl-draft-reorder/

Rory Laird (Pick 9) in the 2011 top ten draft reorder – http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/08/22/a-reorder-of-the-2011-afl-draft/

Jeremy McGovern (Pick 5) in the 2010 top ten draft reorder – http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/08/17/a-reorder-of-the-2010-afl-draft/

Ed Curnow was originally taken by Adelaide in 2007 rookie draft, and didn’t make the 2007 top ten reorder. I did not include him in the 2010 top ten draft reorder due to the fact he was previously drafted by Adelaide. – http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/08/11/2007-top-ten-afl-draft-reorder/

Zak Jones was also unlucky not to make it into my top ten reorder. Been good for the Swans so far.

2013 top ten AFL draft reorder

Yeah, Billings, Acres, and Fantasia, I struggled to fit in so they were unlucky, as well as Tom Langdon. At pick 9 and 10, I chose between Billings, Acres, Fantasia, Langdon, Cameron, and Hunt. Wasn’t easy to decide

2013 top ten AFL draft reorder

Boyd hasn’t lived up to expectations yet, but I do have hope that he will come good as he matures. History has shown big men take longer to develop

Lever would likely end up the Demons

AFL trade rumours: Lever says no to Dogs, Martin still on the market

Would the Demons be interested in McVeigh? Would add experience and composure to their line-up and would help to further develop their younger players. A bit like an on-field coach such as Luke Hodge. Also, Josh, are there any back-up ruckmen looking at leaving their clubs? The Demons might need another back-up ruckman incase injuries strike again. Tom Nicholls maybe?

AFL trade rumours: Lever says no to Dogs, Martin still on the market

Good to see Clayton Oliver getting a spot on the bench. Nev Jetta should at least be in the conversation. He’s successfully played on and stopped dangerous opposition small forwards such as Eddie Betts

Predicting the 2017 All Australian team

Unless he has an excellent game in the VFL, I don’t believe he deserves his spot in the side. Make him work for his sport and have the hunger to want to get back in the ones.

Jack Watts should line up against Brisbane this week

They certainly did. I think Andrew Moore plays in the VFL for Box Hill now. Unsure where Butcher is at nowadays.

A reorder of the 2009 AFL draft

It’s hard to split, I’ll say 2017 class of retirees just, not easy to split for sure

2007 versus 2017: Who has the best list of retirees?

That’d be one of the strongest midfields – Martin, Fyfe, Gawn, Jones, Oliver, Vince, Lewis, Tyson, Brayshaw

A reorder of the 2009 AFL draft

Yes Damien

Why it's time for coaching change at Collingwood and Port Adelaide

I am a Demons fan, I just wanted to put my opinion out there on what I think should happen

Why it's time for coaching change at Collingwood and Port Adelaide

Tell me Peter, what has Bucks done over the last 6 years? Any new silverware on the shelves for Collingwood since 2010?

Why it's time for coaching change at Collingwood and Port Adelaide

The only reason Port are in the 8 is because of their domination over bottom teams. Had they had a harder fixture, they wouldn’t be in the top 8 and on the way to finals

Why it's time for coaching change at Collingwood and Port Adelaide

I agree, there should be a Tasmanian team, however, they would either need to get rid of a club or add a club. Should they make the ‘Tasmanian Devils’ and ‘Northern Territory Thunder’.

It's time for a Tasmanian AFL team

Roos announced ages ago on Triple M I think it was when he was being linked to Collingwood that he was leaving for a holiday the day before or after the grand final for memory, and won’t be back until January, so I doubt that Roos will coach. Buckley, if he leaves, it will likely be via the Pies sacking him, and I’m pretty confident no club would like to hire a coach that gets the sack in the same year. Hinkley would be the same, but is likely to make finals from here so Hinkley would likely be at Port next year.

Who will the Gold Coast Suns turn to next?

I personally think that the Suns should focus on giving an untried coach the reins. Brendon Bolton seems to be on the right track with Carlton, as well as Leon Cameron at GWS, Alastair Clarkson at Hawthorn, Damien Hardwick at Richmond, and Luke Beveridge at the Dogs. All of these clubs are on the right path, and Clarko has achieved 4 premierships since 2005.
