Is the A-League due for a little luck?

The Wanderers look broken without Poppa and don’t seem to have the same attitude and team spirit. They seem to have forgotten how to convert chances and win games.

Will be an interesting start for them this season when Perth take on the Wanderers and Poppa now the manager of Perth FC playing against his former A-League club.

Ah well, at least Perth is a lot closer to Europe, if things don’t work out for either manager.

The Reds and Sky Blues look good, but what about the Wanderers?

Right, so all the problems in the world are Sokka’s fault? Fair enough.
And Victorian Rules doesn’t have any problems does it, especially since it’s the only thing in Australia that’s truly Australian after all.

Gaff rejects Roos, re-signs with West Coast

I believe the FFA have spent their entire propomtions and marketing budget for this season on legal costs to defend their good name.

When those voracious Club Owners take the helm there will be no coins left in the cookie jar.

Once again, ridiculous Sokka self-destruction on a grand scale.

The A-League needs to get back to what it does best - football

Dr CotRod me old mate how are you going.
No I prefer those games where they score 300 goals and have 500 ads and you can break someone’s jaw and not get sent off.

Sokka’s a foreign pommie game in’nit, like cricket.

Gaff rejects Roos, re-signs with West Coast

He likes punching below his weight, especially if they are not looking.

Mate, if it was a Victorian Rules FFA Cup final they would have got over 100K, seriously.

The joke derby?

How many times are you going to disguise yourself and re-appear on the Roar?
Bit bored during the Victorian Rules off season?

There have been 231 Merseyside derbies – that makes them an even bigger joke, eh?

Be patient, you’ll gret your wish eventually.

The joke derby?

What sort of sanitised sand pit has the Roar website turned into.
Can’t say boo without being moderrated.
(Bet this comment gets moderated too.)

The window of change opens, now to find the right people

Its the beginning of the end.
You thought there was confusion, corruption and conflict of interest before.
Wait till they try and put together a new congress of over 100 voices.

The club owners are a bunch of complainers who thought that buying an A-League licence was a licence to print money. The A-League is not a pofitable competition and never will be. It was kept going at times by the financial and business support of the Lowy family.
Now that’s gone the A-League will lose even more money, the owners and vested interests will start fighting among themselves and the whole thing will break down.

A-League will be dead within 5 to 10 years.

Does the government have the apetite to rescue football once again?

Maybe the Victorian Rules people can buy the A-League and throw some money at it to convert it all to AFL-X.

The window of change opens, now to find the right people

The 2018 AFL and NRL grand finals only got about 3M viewers, while the 2018 A-League grand final was shown live in almost 100 countries around the world with an estimated audience of over 10M.

Its a truly World game.

A close grand final does not a classic make

Democracy?
The US is the so called greatest democracy in the world and look where they are headed. Democracy is not the answer.

The people taking over the A-League have a greater conflict of interest than the Lowy family ever had. I don’t see much good coming out of this.

The A-League is not profitable, but the club owners will start squabbling with every one else to get more and more money for themselves and will send the A-League broke, while at the same time less and less money will be shared with the grassroots football clubs.

This will be worse than the NSL and will bring about an early demise of the A-League and further retardation of this country’s football development, particularly at junior levels.

Football is more than just a game for those who seek power

You can start putting the past behind you by calling the sport by its correct name – “football”.

FFA staves off FIFA intervention after change reforms pass - barely

COrrection, Stephen Lowy was leaving in November no matter what the vote was.
The Lowy’s are sick of the infighting and were glad to walk away.

It will be worse under the new mob of whingers.
Back to the glory days of the old NSL- in the dash for cash that will send the A-League broke.

Or the Fox Studios precinct right next door to Allianz, or the Parramatta CBD right next to Parra Stadium.
Stick to playing Victorian Rules Buddy.
You were crrrrappp against the Giants and don’t deserve the money you are on, by the way.

Western Sydney Stadium takes shape and the Wanderers start packing

Syney FC’s billionaire Russian owners were so impressed with the new Parramatta Stadium that they have outbid Wanderers for the tenancy of the new Stadium thanks also to a huge cash donation from FIFA and Frank Lowy jnr., so Wanderers are forced to find a new home and will have to continue using Spotless MeIbourne RuIes Stadium as their home venue.

Former teammate slams Tim Cahill's Socceroos farewell

One of our best ever Socceroos and leading goalscorer.
Of course he does deserve the recognition.
ANZ stadium will be sold out and a nice little earner for the FFA or whoever is left in charge by then.

Does Tim Cahill deserve a farewell Socceroos friendly?
