Agree with gus. Dumb signing. Hope we can keep Sitili and Creighton after all this. Not the first time the roosters hv made this sort of mistake.

Roosters chief stunned by HUGE Fifita backflip but Gus says they've 'dodged a bullet'

Enjoy your trip! I’m also off to Europe this week…my first ever trip there! And like you, I will be enjoying a football match in England…but I have no interest in the EPL. I will be watching REAL football…the English Championship at the CBS Arena to see my beloved Coventry City live for the first time against Queens Park Rangers in the final home and away match of the season. I’m looking forward to the atmosphere. And I can wear my sky blue Sydney FC gear and I’ll fit right in! Unfortunately, after putting all that effort into the FA Cup only to be robbed in the semi final after totally outplaying Manchester Utd, they probably won’t be promoted again this year. But my disdain for the whole EPL setup really doesn’t make me that sad…the cash would’ve been good though. Didn’t think of looking at any games in Italy until now, but who knows…

I'm hitting pause on the A-League and going on the Euro football holiday I've always dreamed of

I am assuming he’ll be there next year, as he’s contracted until the end of 2025, but nothing certain after that.

Roosters' 2025 troubles mount as premiership-winner Keary announces shock retirement

Nor the delusions of Rooster-haters, for me. Should be ok next year, though. Backline at the moment looks something like: 1-Tedesco, 2-Tupou (though off-contract), 3-Billy Smith, 4-Dominic Young, 5-Mark Nawaqanitawase, 6-Sandon Smith, 7-Sam Walker. Junior Paugo can cover wing or centre.

Mind you (as I’ve said before), no-one would give a stuff about ‘lattes’ if they were called ‘hot milk slams’.

Storm slaughter second-rate Souths as 'a myriad of errors' hammer the final nail into Demetriou's coaching coffin

Bit too similar to a past Storm jersey, too. Had to look twice as to which team was Melbourne.

Yes. And I wonder how they would’ve done had Sakamoto been there. I’m sure it has hurt their chance of promotion, they’re definitely off the pace. Must’ve been very hard to bring themselves up to play Hull the other day. But what an experience it would be to take part in the celebrations of a win into the play-offs!

United survive chaotic clash with Coventry to set up all-Manchester FA Cup final, Liverpool draw level, VAR strikes again

I watched ’87 live on TV here. Back here then, though, it was rare to be able to watch them. A win over Man U would’ve been massive and would’ve been a great addition to their feats in their comeback from their dire financial position. It’s highly unlikely they would’ve won the final, but it would’ve been good to see them there and also get a lot more respect, which I think they got from the semi anyway. PS. Going for my first ever live game in May to see them against QPR in the final home/away round!

Also a lifelong fan. It was an emotional rollercoaster! Totally gutted at the end. One minute they’ve heroically won, only for it to be taken away for a toenail offside, and then bow out on penalties. Very proud of the team. Coming from behind very late has been a trademark of this team. They did it in the quarter final and they’ve done it time and time again. Was never going to give up on them until the end.

..or the interviewing the player as he walks off at half-time…or the interruption of play (often during a line break) to hear what the coaches said at half-time.

Give coaches a choice: NRL post-match press conferences are mandatory, but only to say what the bosses want you to say

I also love how the broadcasters don’t seem to have ever given a second thought as to whether or not the TV viewer can actually hear the question. There should also be a new Dally M Award – “Captain Who Looked Least Bored at a Post-Match Press Conference”.

Maybe….whether your coach would think that’s a good use of your time on the field is another thing.

NRL Round 6 Talking Points: Concussion sub needs a fix, learning about 'disruption', why does everyone hate Gutho?

He just was proposing a new business venture – a mini golf hotel in Maroubra. Quite the entrepreneur!

NRL News: Dragon says he was 's--thouse' and should've been dropped, Panther in social media strife

Haven’t noticed anything in particular with Gutho. What tries my patience is almost every dummy half putting their arms in the air after half a second wanting a penalty for holding down!

I can deal with the short re-starts from goal-line dropouts, but taking away the penalty for it not going 10 metres or going out on the full was an idiot decision, rewarding incompetence, IMO.

If there is lying in the ruck, they can just penalise like they used to, which I’m sure teams would prefer.

They’ve been ignoring the disruptor play for the past few years, now they’ve started to pay attention. Players have been jumping and waving their hands in front of the catcher’s eyes and it’s gone unpunished. Now it’s against the rules? I’m glad. But what have the refs been doing these past years? As I said yesterday, it’s not in the spirit of the game. Some are worried it’s hard to work out when it’s deliberate. Maybe some of the time. Other times – like the one I’ve mentioned – it’s completely obvious.

The stupid Sharks forward who raked the ball out late in the tackle count when they had Souths on the ropes should get a hearty handshake from JD. After the resulting try, their resolve hardened. He should never (if that story was true) have been given one game to turn the team around, though. Jye Gray was very impressive. I tipped them for a change, but Sharks too good in the end. ….The commentators have started to get on to one of my pet hates: Players acting as ‘disrupters’ to put catchers off and not going for the ball. Don’t meant to pile on Lattrell, but he was the first player I saw do it when he was at Easts. It’s gotten more popular, and to me just doesn’t seem to be in the spirit of the game. If possible, I’d like to see it wiped out of the game.

Demetriou to be 'given the time he needs' as Souths back coach - for now - after Mal all but turns down job

Maybe the ‘third party’ is the bank?

Don't pop the champagne: Jennings' 300th game will be an embarrassment for the NRL

I often remember his oft-repeated line as co-commentator on the Amco Cup when I think a team should take a shot at goal and not a tap from a penalty: “Well, when the points are there for the taking, Ray…”

It’s just a shame that most of the trophies inside are so old they’ve corroded into a pile of dust!

Geez! You got Latrell because the Roosters re-signed them. I wouldn’t be complaining! (..or would I?)

Commentators who a little less bias than yourself referred to it as brave, but you’re entitled to think that. I never put the foot in when teams are down, but that’s just me…what goes around comes around, and some of my (unfortunate) friends follow Souths. I also never laugh at my own jokes 😂
