Nice one mate! Yes the 6 to 10 would all be super as well!
Who are the five greatest West Indian cricketers of all time?
Lara would have to be in the top 6 for me.
Who are the five greatest West Indian cricketers of all time?
Headley was considered with an average of 60 but only played 22 tests. Similar stas to Pollock!
Who are the five greatest West Indian cricketers of all time?
Thanks Paul. Curtley would be 6th to be honest. I set the criteria for ‘influence on Windies cricket’ and on those grounds had to get Lloyd in the top 5. But Curtly was awesome!

I think calling it ‘old school loop’ is a great way to put it, and spot on. His loop is what got him the top order wickets in Sydney. Really good bowling.
Kuldeeps problem is at home Ashwin and Jadeja have won India test and test, and series after series. Their record at home is phenomenal. However on overseas tours where the conditions suit, he looks to have moved passed Ashwin who hasnt been overly effective in Australia over three tours.
Just how successful were the last 12 months for India?
Cheers mate. As a neutral in the SA and England series I enjoyed them very much. India were simply too good for Australia. I rate the first test against England at Birmingham the test of the year.
Just how successful were the last 12 months for India?
Upgraded from sugar in the pocket to sandpaper! However England were that bad didnt need the sandpaper!
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
Englands batting was poor but I’d like to see Starc and Cummins work on how the ball comes out. Too wobbly for me.
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
I dont doubt that… just doubt whether he should be playing for Australia or whether its a good time to move on from him. But unless these openers do something this test, he will be picked as soon as available.
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
I dont think the question of Australia’s poor batting needs to be asked. Smith desperately needed and as I read yesterday on twitter, you know Australia is struggling in cricket when DAvid Warner is seen as a solution ! 😉
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
Fair points, but the coin has flipped that way and from where Australia has had to do the work from they havent done it as well as they could have. Would have been nice to have batted first in Melbourne and Sydney but havent done so and chased leather around the park both times bowling first. Need wickets early day 2 as Pujarra edges up towards 150.
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
Steyn is close to retirement but even when he goes with Philander, Rabada, Olivier and Ngidi it’s superb. Lack a real talented spinner but they never really have had a good one that i can think of since re admission.
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
I think they will look into it Franctony to see if it can be done better because going to the Ashes with the bowlers out of form will be a concern even with Smith (and maybe Warner) back.
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
No disrespect to the guy but has there ever been a great male sportsman with a hyphenated name?
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
I find it hard to believe Handscomb has fixed his footwork problems in a week. Could be proven wrong.
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
Yes down on form and lacking movement to trouble quality batsmen like Kohli and Pujara. Pujara didnt look troubled really today.
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
I think all bowlers these days need to be managed. Look at Pat Cummins, he missed so many years due to injury so needs to be looked after. I think more to do with the way ball is coming out of hand. Bumrah, Anderson, Philander really are leading the way…
Are Australia's bowlers overrated?
Only problem with the article is it doesn’t name who the selectors are. So we have to google that if you want to find out who they are. But rest is spot on or close to the mark. Not sure if they are making it easy for themselves to get Dave Warner back into the team by sticking with out of form players or guys not up to it. Id open with Khawaja and Renshaw and work down from there.
Labuschagne's Test selection is a farce
Excellent article. Very well put. Agree with all of it. Shane Warne get hammer a point endlessly though, but generally gives excellent insights and a bit of humour too. Well done!
Rating the Fox Cricket commentators
Walsh in terms of longevity was proabably top of the tree for me for fast bowlers, but I think Jimmy Anderson has overtaken him. Both superb though.
