Don’t think it was him but loved listening to ABC on a Saturday. You could have a local Canberra team calling the 3pm game for the Raiders, Newcastle locals calling 5.30 for the Knights and then you’d get a local Townsville team calling the Cowboys game at 7.30pm (the Cowboys bloke sounded a bit like Rabs but a radio version)

Had a look. In 2000, Rabs calls him running away for a try against Brisbane and Rabs calls him ‘The Whippet, the Whippet!”. Had Sailor chasing him. Rabs: “The little whippet had the big alsatian chasing”. Not sure if that is it?
