'If that changes, time will tell': Demetriou defiant despite defeat as Souths lose three to injury in Sharks loss

JAC?

Lomax shines on a wing with some flair in Dragons' win over Tigers as Bunker hauls off Bird but spares Klemmer ... twice

“Just understand…” how Dogs’ fans felt watching JAC smashed …when well & truly out & no chance of scoring.

That same legislation considers effect. When you form a majority, what exactly is your psychological harm? It’s not the same!

He did.

Language is powerful. Racist language is about domination & oppression. For someone like Sam to use the language she did towards a police officer – who represents a powerful majority, as opposed to an oppressed minority – it is a protest, not racism. It’s acknowledgement/ accusation of oppression/ abuse of power. It does not carry the same intent nor weight to label someone a member of such a dominant group, with an insult attached. It’s a PROTEST, not an attempt at alienation – which is exactly what racism is. It really isn’t all that difficult to process. And since when should we be so comfortable with ANYONE – whatever colour – putting down OUR First Nations peoples? Not directed at you, TB, but it truly mystifies me – the number of comments on this thread minimising racial abuse towards our Indigenous athletes of whom we are all so proud – on the surface – until one of them DARE arc up.
This reeks of public & commercial media vilification of Adam Goodes – for daring ti respond…Such an absolute hero in my mind. Always will be.

Saw your comment on the live blog and was thoroughly confused about your protest against Liddle’s try. Just watched the highlights to have another look & have no idea what you are on about. He very clearly grounds the ball.

Liddle’s no-try/ held up (whatever) however, was a joke. Souths player should’ve been binned for that…hanging about the ruck offside & then actively interfering with Liddle’s lunge towards the line. THAT was ridiculous.

ANALYSIS: Dragons hold on against second-string Souths - but which Bunnies are going to be Blues?

Oh, really? What strange insight you have. I heard he was injured…

“Campbell Graham has told Freddie to “stick it” and walked out on Fittler and the Blues after the insult of being selected as 18th man.”

NSW Origin I team: Hynes, Pangai, Young to debut, Turbo, Frizell, Foxx back but duo ruled out in new-look side

Like Tony said, it just means “goodbye” in Latin. But in Latin texts, it doesn’t carry that same sense of emotion like we use it. Just means “bye”. Nothing more.

Simply The Best: Vale Tina Turner, who made rugby league sexy and changed it forever

You aren’t alone.

ANALYSIS: Souths cop physical battering from powerful Parra - and get found out

“I agree with all your stats GB, they have no chance tomorrow nigh! As I thought that its so ironic that the last time the Eels beat us in R12 2019 the Bunnies were 1st on the ladder after 11 rounds with 20 points with 10 wins and 1 loss, for 282, and 165 against, diff of 117, and Bennett was coaching and Trell was not even playing with the Bunnies, while 2023 we are 1st again in R11, with 8 wins 3 losses, for 264, and 150 against diff of 114, only 3 points in it.”

Well done, Eels!

How is it you absolutely know player contracts when no-one else does?

The sombrero has taken on a new home.

You go by conjecture. So do the rest of us.

Pets of the League.

Which players should your team stop persisting with?

The quote of yours that I offered is absolute evidence that you are miserable in victory.

ANALYSIS: Souths humble Broncos but could lose competition points for 14th player - and Graham surges into Blues mix

PasT time, I believe is the expression…seeing as you are busily “rattling cages” with nothing else better to do.

“ But even with Klein and Atkins combining to rob Souths of at least 2 tries….”

Gracious in victory as always.

So salient that you forgot it.

Forever on the defensive.

'After the games it’d be Raiders and Rabbitohs': Tom Burgess on lockdown sessions that might bring Wighton to Souths

So your team is equally guilty?

No more speculation over salary cap sombreros: Why it is time for NRL salaries to finally be made public

Beautifully put, DT.

No more speculation over salary cap sombreros: Why it is time for NRL salaries to finally be made public

But it is rising. And you are choosing to click on emojis to indicate how funny you find this.

And Pacific nations are all panicking. Over a reality. Sky After Dark telling you this is not happening does not make their perspective accurate.

Even if it were a matter of urgency for only those 100 ahead of us, does that make it insignificant?

NRL News: Latrell likens booing to Goodes treatment, Manly CEO wants change, Chad expects hostile reception

“Detained?”

Who “detained” the minor shouting ra-c-ist outbursts?

Murdoch press is expert in victim blaming and – simultaneously – excusing the guilty under some sort of utterly stupid guise of innocent ignorance, with this kid being supported by equally ignorant, bogan parents on commercial TV.

The media response was more embarrassing – nationally and internationally – than the actual incident.

Make all the excuses you want, Steve.

You are only exposing yourself every time you do.

Incidentally, my 3 kids were never in their entire lives given a free card to the utter bigotry you have chosen to express here.

Deplorable.

NRL News: Latrell likens booing to Goodes treatment, Manly CEO wants change, Chad expects hostile reception

“A few coloured pieces of fabric, indeed.”

As a mum of a now 26 year old gay male who sadly turned his back on rep footy for beginners hockey (effectively) some years ago, this is all very very raw.

As a mum of that same 26 year old, I asked him if he’d read all these articles on this Manly stuff & he replied along the lines of: ‘Mum, not worth bothering…”

And that is a bloody shame.

Well done, Manly.
