I think it begins and ends at the club he is currently at, that’s the story, end of story
NRL News: Walker confused by 'weirdest obstruction' calls, Lomax to Eels delay frustrates Arthur, Dragons eye off Turuva
Oh well mate, at least we have Jack Bird!
NRL News: Lomax set to ask for Dragons release, Gus says depleted Broncos 'vulnerable', Katoa inks new deal
It was a back ended contract from what I understand though, and now he is on fullback money as the original plan was that he would become the long term fullback.
I don’t disagree that he hasn’t developed enough to warrant the move but how much is down to the environment around him? He has been shuttled about in the centres in the last two seasons, and now has been put on the wing. I can understand his frustration that the plan he was sold has not come to be, and he is now being used as a battering ram winger.
Not only that, but it seems as though the club are putting faith in Bird above Lomax, which doesn’t pass the eye test
I think it’s one of situations where an exit will be good for all parties involved, tend to think he’ll flourish within a better structure, and the dragons can free up some space in the cap.
NRL News: Lomax set to ask for Dragons release, Gus says depleted Broncos 'vulnerable', Katoa inks new deal
The dragons signed him on fullback money years ago on the proviso they move him to fullback, in reality they haven’t played him in his favoured position in over two years.
Blame isn’t solely on the dragons but they have not covered themselves in roses here.

Contracts are a funny thing these days mate
Api days are here again as hooker rises from sick bed to inspire Benji's Tigers to Sharks boilover
Absolutely agree, at the very least I wanted to see a team that was hard to beat, a team that other teams supporters don’t want to play. Instead they are rolling over and allowing the opposition to fill their boots. It’s happened under multiple coaches now, so it’s clear that there is a bit clean out needed in the playing roster. They are a soft touch.
'Something we've got to look at': Flanagan could swing axe after Cowboys stick 42 unanswered points on sorry Dragons
Or the Roosters will swoop in to replace Keary

Strange that the storm v warriors game has changed this year, thought that was becoming quite a tasty tradition
The best try ever? Coates pulls off miracle in last minute to steal win from Warriors in stone cold classic
It reminded me of a try Nightingale scored years ago against the Sharks, although he didn’t get half as high as Coates did last night

For someone that is apparently disgruntled, he was very keen to get involved and show his worth
Flanno trumps Des as Sloan fires Dragons to statement win over Titans
What a great comment, well done
NRL News: Leniu pleads guilty to monkey racial slur, apologises to Mam - 'I said the word but I didn't mean it in a racist way'
Agree with this, a bit of heart and being hard to beat will be a success for me
Can Shane Flanagan's new 'magnificent seven' bring hope to downtrodden Dragons fans?
I think anything but last is a win sadly…

If they don’t have a beer in the off season, when do they have a beer, during games?
Broncos brawlers get their first slice of Vegas luck after breach notices served but bans unlikely
Stokes should probably look at his own dismissal, and his lack of urgency getting up the other end.
Very lazy cricket.
'The technology has gone wrong': Stokes laments DRS in England defeat amid LBW drama
It’s predictable though, did anyone expect this squad to have a no good season?
I’m liking what I’m hearing, they are not looking at the short term but trying to position the long term. That’s long been the problem the dragons have had.
'Our focus is 2025': Flanno dampens Dragons hopes as he admits pre-season fitness struggles
Why is the current Australian cricket team ‘hard to get behind’?
It's not un-Australian to cheer against Australia - in fact, in our favourite sports, it is the best option
Kyle Flanagan, the saviour
NRL 2024 ladder predictions: The wooden spoon candidates - Tigers favourites for hat-trick but a new 'contender' emerges
That’s a fair call. I personally would have given Starc or Hazelwood a rest and put him in there, rather than going back to Boland again. But I guess Boland has earned his stripes and I wouldn’t begrudge him any opportunity to represent Australia.
I’m conflicted….
'Best six batters in the country': Smith will open and Green returns as Bailey denies Bancroft rift over Sandpaper saga
I would add that Bancroft scores at a very low strike rate, with Uzzie already there taking his time, they would want someone in there to put a bit of pressure on the bowlers.
Now, Smith & Renshaw aren’t the guys to do that either, so whereas it may be a factor in Bancroft not being selected, it doesn’t quite explain the alternatives.
Ill throw another thing out there, are we seeing Smith going to opener as a seat warmer this summer while they wait for Pucovski to (hopefully) come through unscathed? Not many would question (even though it was just the 1 test) how settled he looked at that level.
'Best six batters in the country': Smith will open and Green returns as Bailey denies Bancroft rift over Sandpaper saga
Would have liked to see Morris given the nod in the test matches to be honest, but good to see him around the squad

It gets clicks I guess!
Fear Aamer: Young quick joins legends with six of the best, Smith's farcical delay slammed, Warner's baggy green returned
I’m happy for him, obviously means a lot to him and he justifiably used his platform to try and get it back. No idea why there is so much negativity towards a guy getting a treasured possession back, no matter who it is.
Fear Aamer: Young quick joins legends with six of the best, Smith's farcical delay slammed, Warner's baggy green returned
Ponting said on commentary yesterday that he keeps his in the safe at home, not even on display. Definitely a deeply personal thing for these guys and for anyone to suggest they should get them replaced because it is a little tattered is just yelling at clouds for blocking the sun.

They won’t chip in anything, he is trying to get rid of them not the other way around
