Annnnnnnnddddd queue anonymous contibutor with the “The Brumbies should merge with the Rebels” dicussion.

The impossible decision Rugby Australia must make now

Good chance with Banks leaving.

ANALYSIS: Why Lord Laurie is still king of the contact zone

Never rated Ta’avao. Not sure how he got a black jumper was very poor when he was with the ‘Tahs.

That is why head coaches have assistants. I think you have a poor understanding of what the role of a head coach is at this level.

How McKellar convinced Lolesio to sign, 'sad' reality of Banks' defection and why Rennie could stay until 2027

Kurtley does not do it all well. Poor defender, erratic under the high ball (has good games and bad games), kicks when should run and runs when should kick, crabs cross field robbing space from outside players. IMO done and dusted as a test player.

Too broken. Kellaway looked good at 15 at test level and Wright has looked good there when he has had the opportunity for the Brumbies.

Petaia needs to get through a complete season without injury in my view. Also needs to get the rubbish ball carry and offloads out of his game. Good player with some bad habits and he does not have the liabilities that Folau had i.e. can defend, can pass, can kick.

Dan seems to run over a lot of dogs. I think it is Jimbo in disguise again.

Nope I am wrong, Biarritz

Correct.

Sure did. One of Uni-Norths favourite sons.

In this Jimbo in disguise? Another person that had his do run over by McKellar.

Gone to Japan I think. Great guy. Real club man at club, provincial and international level. Kids loved him and he engaged well with them and the community.

Swain and Neville could be in with a shot off the bench or even starters.

ANALYSIS: Why Lord Laurie is still king of the contact zone

I thought we were our own worst enemies last night. The cleanout and the latch arriving at the breakdown late allowing the Japanese the ability to get over the ball in good position, balls between the legs resulting in tries, trying to do too much rather than consolidating and starting again. In my view we expected the result to be like the last time the Wallaroos played Japan, did not show them enough respect and they turned up to play. You could see what it meant to the Japanese women at full time.

REACTION: 'She'll be filthy' - Wallaroos stunned by Japan after late penalty miss

I suspect he was cooked. The guy had put in a big shift and sometimes the fresh legs is a point of difference especially in a half who needs to get to the breakdown and make decisions. I do see your point (and don’t necessarily disagree) about needing your leader and best players on the field when the game is in the balance.

'Thrown to the wolves': Tate questions 10 tactic as Reds stunned by Highlanders

Not seeing the value in Vunivalu at this point. When he hasn’t been injured, he has looked lost. There are other options on the sting rather than throwing a truck of cash and a gold jumper at someone who isn’t going to cut it.

Don’t leave us hanging…..

REACTION: 'It sucks, quite frankly'- Sam Cane laments home loss to strong, clinical Brumbies

Neither can he. Maybe Cheik can explain.

I suspect Ray that you, like my any others, only see the ball in hand, razzle dazzle as the key to success in a rugby game. Sometimes it is better to play field position, sometimes it is better to let the opposition have the ball and force the error. I thought for the most part (and especially in the second half) they kicked cleverly and used the conditions well.

Who were those masked men? How the Brumbies beat the Hurricanes

For the record, I am an atheist but I don’t agree singling someone out for their beliefs. Sorry Sinclair, I agree with Laurence, Thorn’s religion has nothing to do with his capabilities as a coach.

Who were those masked men? How the Brumbies beat the Hurricanes

One key reason for the kicking game in the second half was where the shadow and bright sunlight merged out to the 15m line on the Mal Meninga side of the ground. A high ball in that area would have been a massive challenge to catch under pressure. Lonergan and White exploited it well.

Personally I would do away with the place kick altogether and make the kicker drop at goal within 60 secs of the try being scored. No waiting around for the kicking tee. No getting the breath back for attack or defence. No time for the defence to re-group.

How rugby union can change its laws to improve the spectacle... including six-point tries

Another conspiracy theorist.

'Perplexing decision' Reds prop to miss three weeks for dangerous tackle

I am also surprised but this is good news for Australian Rugby as a whole.
