And as usual the A(V)FL make up the compensation outcome on the run and non Victorian clubs get screwed again.
AFL silly season commences as Crow, Tiger find new homes
Who would want to live in COVID city where the fog at Avalon Airport denied players returning back to their home state. The players are probably glad they could stay in Adelaide where we can freely breathe the air … or at least see what it is like to be able to do so.
Fox Footy panel compete to be Adelaide's public enemy with hilarious interstate banter
Total agreement here ASD … clowns who live in cloud cuckoo land who think their role is to look after the game by constantly changing the rules (e.g. manning the mark & medical substitution). It must stroke their egos to think they are doing great things when all they are really doing is stuffing up the game more … and god forbid anyone criticise or question their strategies after all they do know best … NOT 😡 .
The AFL's rushed new rules deserve a rushed reaction
Once again we have a bunch of meddlers sitting in their castle in Melbourne interfering with the national game. I’m not sure what these people want to achieve except to be seen to be doing something and then expect that people will applaud them for their efforts … LEAVE THE GAME ALONE 😡 .
Bombers' intra-club shows just how tough the new man on the mark laws are
I’m sure that if the Crows had finished in the top eight and they only stood to get draft pick 12 or 13 for Brad Crouch there would not be all this noise … one has to remember they are looking at trying to get a beginning of first round compensation draft pick for one of their best midfielders (which just happens to be pick 2 this year) … and even then they still won’t have access to the number 1 rated draftee. In fact they won’t even have access to a couple of the better rated SA draftees. This all comes about as a consequence of AFL House and its ‘make-it-up-on-the-run’ rules.
AFL trades: The Brad Crouch compensation controversy and how to fix it
There can be no sport in the world that is more compromised than the (AFL) Amateur Football League. It does not have a draw it has a fixture where each team plays some teams once and other teams twice, it plays the Grand Final at the MCG (home of 4 Victorian based teams) regardless of who is minor premier, it minimises travel for most Victorian based teams dependent on home following and it refuses to use the finances it has gouged from clubs to keep abreast of technology so that debacles like this don’t happen. It is time for Gil and the likes to do what they are paid to do … address these ongoing issues and inequities rather than utter lame apologies … and if he and the others can’t do that … MOVE ON.
Footy Fix: The Crows were stone cold robbed... but they've only got themselves to blame
