It will cost you extra for me to say why.

Not interested in excuses – especially before the game.

On one of the gaming apps, the Cats are 2.46. Excellent value for a team 5-0 against a 2-3 team.
Not recommending you put your money on them (usually a kiss of death) but hard to see the reasoning other than a home game for the Lions.

AFL News: Why Cameron escaped ban for dumping tackle, Blues star hit for six, Dees re-sign fan favourite

I think the end decision was correct as it was low impact but their justification is flawed.
I doubt that if I was charged with a serious crime that I would get off because I hadn’t done it before.

Yeah but calling him Mr Cameron is a bit over the top. Sounds like they had to ask his permission to issue the fine!
Having had my laugh, I think it was the right decision in the end.

I suggest, had that been SPP, it would have been 1-2 weeks.
Some players are untouchable.

I think there are some good uses of social media.
Some of my elderly relatives are currently travelling around the world. They keep their extensive friends and relatives informed of their progress – this is useful not only because we are interested in their lives but also knowing that they are safe (and they don’t need to call or email everyone to confirm this).
I regularly communicate with many relatives in other countries via social media.
My business also benefits from income generated from social media marketing.
There is a dark side to social media and it could be significantly reduced (perhaps it will never be eliminated) by identification of every user.
As I said previously, it is not in the social media’s interests for this to happen as it would involve extra costs and lower advertising revenue.
However, it is in society’s interests for this to happen.

Social media trolling of our sportspeople has its newest victim - but Sonja Hood won't be the last unless we take a stand

Most of the people who abuse others online are not open to rational discussion and education on the error of their ways. They need to be identified and banned.
There is minimal abuse (although not zero) on Link’d In – where everyone has to provide their name.
It is actually quite easy for the social media companies to sort this out – the identity of every account holder has to be verified and the account holder’s name must be published with all comments and videos.
The reason why the social media companies wont do this is because they like their clients abusing each other and posting violent videos – it causes a stir and generates traffic which in turn generates revenue for them.
So it is up to our legislators to force them to do this.

Unfortunately, that’s a defeatist attitude and will not solve the problem.
Perhaps a public demand to the social media operators to identify and ban the offenders might help. It’s not going to work for one person but if many started to do it, maybe both the social media companies and the Government would start to listen.

To be fair, dumb politicians are not all Victorians!

I agree BG. I’m not aware of the abuse Dr Hood faced but it is rife in society – both online and in person.
I’m not a high profile sports person but I have been subjected to both online and face to face abuse and neither are nice. It’s not fair or reasonable that the victim should have to close their social media account as this signals a win for the perpetrator.
Time for social media companies to verify and publish the identities of all commenters. I’d be happy if The Roar took the first step. No reason we can’t keep out nick names but I see no reason why our full names couldn’t be published – it might even moderate some comments on here!

Word is, McDonald is about to re sign with Sydney.
Problem with your combination is one injury and you’re back to Taberner as a third tall forward (he can clunk it but can’t kick a goal).

Six Points: Why Dogs' disaster isn't all Bevo's fault, Eagles on their way, and 2024's biggest beat-up

Also Flynn. He’s no world beater but crucially would have allowed Bailey Williams to go forward for 60-70% of the game. No Allen and no Williams in the forward line has exposed Darling (who, at best should be 3rd tall forward).

It is not the ultimate insult being compared to Freo (but it’s close).

Didn’t watch the game but talent doesn’t disappear overnight. He’s still coming, maybe a better deal for WCE if he has an ordinary year.

He is a gun but how soon will he re sign? From his point of view, the longer he leaves it, the better the deal.

Would Naughton be a good fit for Freo? One key forward would make a huge difference.

4/6 – missed Carlton and Bulldogs.

Footy Fix: Amazing Adelaide resurrect their season with one of the great wins... but how on earth did they pull it off?

Put you house on the Cats – they wont lose. Unfortunately, all you will get as a profit is new letterbox!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an upset tonight.
Melbourne are playing close to the best footy in the comp at the moment but if they have an off night, Brisbane will pounce.

I spat the dummy like that when we had Sandpaper gate. Swore I’d never watch another game of cricket.
I calmed down.

AFL News: 'No credibility' - Freo slam ex-ump's 'spoilt brat' whack at Clark, Dees to challenge Pickett ban

Maybe you need to do a bit more homework.
EPL competition is a full home and away season – ie every team plays the other teams twice each season (once at home and once away). Additionally, there are no finals, the team finishing on top wins the title.
Travelling around England is completely different to travelling across Australia with different time zones.
Comparisons to other sports are irrelevant.
