And worse again, with Freo comfortably beating Hawthorn (who overran the Blues). Will probably be underdogs but need a win this weekend. Or it’s another wasted season.

Six talking points from AFL Rounds 10-11

So with NRC gone, even less AUS Rugby that I can watch!!!
Just HOPE we can get/keep access to Currie Cup, Pro14, Top14, etc

Champions League and State of Origin-style fixtures headline Rugby AU's bumper broadcast offering

I understand the Courier Mail had all day talks with the broncos senior management today who are pleading for a 2 weeks grace period before the stories runs. Part of this is protecting Seibold’s mental state and the rest is to give Paul White a successful exit strategy. Once it blows there will be front page stories for days, possibly even weeks

How many English players at the English clubs. Seems to be saffas islanders the main stars and a few old abs

Wallabies coach Rennie weighs in on trans-Tasman competition debate

But they don’t all just get pushed into the top couple of M10 and CC teams, that is what’s different. They go and play for their own club, not just the couple that finished top last year.

How is it the same as Tahs v Reds?

“NSW and QLD discarded these player so they will hardly pick them .”

So you think Matt Toomua, for example, would not be picked?

That would be around 56,000 for Tahs v Reds (without Kayo). These numbers would not be enticing for a FTA broadcaster.

Wow…what a litany of excuses..all teams have setbacks in the quest for the Holy Grail

You sound like Ricky Stuart after a loss

Will the Sharks make the eight?

Stokes is certainly the best all-rounder to play for England that comes from NZ… 😂 Jokes aside, he is a fantastic cricketer, I have never been able to warm to him though, so that places him in the perfect zone to captain England in the future. 😁

Ben Stokes: The technical side of the perfect all-rounder

“We at the NHS”. Really? Sounds like a case of civilian “stolen valour” to me.

You’ll work it out….you seem smart enough.

Yeah, nothing like having a whole team of blow-ins displacing the club players that got the team there to build tribalism…!

Sheek. Apparently Clarke had a degenerative back condition.

Sick of it: Sport's greatest illnesses

Plenty of smoke and mirrors barely scratching the surface of easily the biggest scandal in the club’s history. Seibold is at the centre of it – when all is made public there will be no public sympathy for him nor any corporate employment lawyer smart enough to enforce the last 3 years of his contract. I wish I could say more but it would most certainly be deleted by mods. “Watch this Space”.

Jack Leach will beat the nightwatchman record, the man is a legend.

Eleven Test records that may never be broken

Garbage review I reckon. I am a big fan of Albon and his critics seem to forget he is new to F1 and that the car is built for Verstappen. You have to be a bit slow to miss that as Horner alludes to.
Verstappen won because the Mercs screwed the tyres, a situation that was happening way back in Schumacher days and they can’t solve. Hamilton said post race he couldn’t keep up with Bottas so went for the other tyre. The power to the track situation. Its dynamic and not a problem drivers want to deal with. Its also a one off as Red Bull just don’t have the speed to contend with Mercedes currently.

Five talking points from the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix

I think you’re getting the two tries mixed up there, Bruce but totally understand if you’d pretty much switched off by that point. The first try he never, at any point reached the line or actually got any closer than 6-8 inches from the deck. Good luck to your mighty Raiders for the next two months. Just hard to see them replicating last year though. Leilua was a much better fit with Canberra and will show to be a much bigger loss than was the Tigers gain.

Eight talking points from NRL Round 13

With NRC axed I hope the GRR can also continue. The Force can then play in both competitions. It looks likely that a TT will not make it…what value is there in playing TT and a finals series?

Noticed that too…no more mid-year Test matches. That’ll leave a funding hole!

That was such a surprise. I really wanted Casey to win after being in contention forever. We see these guys like Morikawa light up then flame out eg Jordan Speith among others.
Golf is one of the great levelers. I’m surprised Dustin Johnson flamed out. This looked to be his.

Morikawa wins first major in thrilling PGA

I just want to say congratulations for thinking outside the box and coming up with some new initiatives.
I really hope they can get a decent amount of $$$ from a broadcaster.
Let’s also hope there are more games on Free to air tv as well!!!
Finally it’s looking like the top brass at Rugby Australia are trying to make things right and repair some of the damage.
Let’s hope NZ pulls finger and goes for the trans Tasman competition for next year. Cheers

Don’t know why everyone talks about potential to cause injury. MRP haven’t made a decision on potential injuries for a long time!

Is Luke Shuey in strife for an alleged trip?

Hahaha, classic.
It does have some resemble to the tennis too we’re we expected Federer, Nadal and Djoker to be challenged more over the last 5 years. Maybe some generalizations are just better than others?

Snooker legend delivers the most savage take down of his rivals

Well its worked for Red Bull. They’ll be wrapt that in MotoGP their team KTM came up with their first Moto GP win with a 23 year old South African Brad Binder. If F1 was like Moto GP Williams would be winning one week, Mercedes the next., then Racing Point ( probably because Marquez is out injured).
But if you’re number 2 in an F1 team, even if its not official policy, you’re fitting in and need to adapt quickly or be moved on as Gasly was. I’m pretty sure development happens quicker with a dominant demanding number one driver and the leading teams have them. Obviously Vettel and Ferrari just aren’t happening anymore.

Valtteri Bottas pips Lewis Hamilton to pole for the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix

Don, Thorn made decisions early on that put him off side with a large number of Reds fans. You only had to see the numbers missing from Reds home games and turning up at club matches to understand that. I think both he and Jeff Miller underestimated this. The Reds really needed to put wins on the board in 2019 to convince the fans the risks were worth taking.

With big risks come big rewards but failure at that point is not an option. I think if Thorn had acted more judiciously he would have more support from fans and possibly a few more wins under his belt. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him take up a role at Red Hill in the not so distant future.
