Alex Keath extremely stiff not to get a spot in that back line, I would be picking him over David Astbury.
My All Australian side after Round 11
Everyone is aware that Tex had an interrupted pre-season and has played most of the year injured, thats why the media haven’t slammed him for his form. I can say with confidence that I’ve attended 90% of the Crows games played at the Adelaide Oval and Tex’s impact without the ball is just as valuable as when he’s clunking everything and kicking bags. A lot of what he does goes unnoticed because it can’t be measured by stats or even watching the game on TV. He’s effectively an on-field coach, arguably the best field-kick in the comp amongst key forwards and you’re right, he spends most games trying to beat two defenders. But I would hate to see someone like Tex have the game pass him by, while still having the captaincy. I still think Tex is capable of kicking 60 goals next year, but if these niggling injuries he’s struggled with this year are a sign of things to come, it would not do the team or him any harm in passing over the batten sooner rather than later.
Changing of the guard for South Australia
Lebron to the Rockets isn’t an option. CP3 has already said he wants a Max contract, Harden is on $30million, Ryan Anderson is on $20million, Lebron is going to demand big dollars… Its just not going to work. They’ll lose Ariza, Capella, Gordon and probably Tucker.
Three trades the Cleveland Cavaliers can make to keep LeBron James
Lebron will never take responsibility for this lackluster roster, even though he should. I do agree that Cleveland needs to be held accountable as well, but unfortunately when you sign Lebron, you are also relinquishing some of the control you have in your organisations front office.
Lets also not forget the NBA were forced to investigate Lebron’s involvement in Klutch Sports after team mates J.R Smith and Tristan Thompson signed lucrative long-term deals.
All in all, this Cavs team never stood a chance against Golden State and were probably lucky to reach the finals in the first place. A young Victor Oladipo in Indiana forced a game 7, as did an undermanned Boston Celtics.
Theres no doubting Lebron is still the best (current) player in the world, but if you are screaming for him to sign with your team I’d say be careful what you wish for. Yes, in the east he can almost guarantee you a spot in the finals, but he may only hang around for a couple years then leave your franchise in tatters.
Where does LeBron James' responsibility start and end?
Last night told us a lot about Richmond and just highlighted what we already knew about Port Adelaide. Port are still inconsistent and Richmond are the new flat track bullies! Richmond are 0-3 from away games this year and they still heavily rely on Dusty. Yes they’ve got a few injuries, but who doesn’t? However, none of it matters because all they need to do sadly is finish in the top 4 and hope they don’t jag West Coast.
Port Adelaide holds on to a grinding win over Richmond
The major concern for Port is their future and the next wave of talent coming through. They’ve traded away many of their early picks over the last 5 years for ready-made players and I don’t think they have the same ability to find gems in the draft like their rivals at West Lakes. In the past they’ve tried to bolster their list on the cheap with early picks from other clubs that weren’t getting a game like Jared Polec and Jimmy Toumpas, which is a gamble. Their inconsistency in games is a reflection of their list, the difference between their top tier players and their bottom 6 is still too great.
Power play: Port Adelaide's bold moves will pay dividends... Eventually
Like Alistair Lynch in 04..? Or possibly Mumford this weekend..?
