Are you a glenelg man Iron Dingo? Before Port came in I never followed the Crows but agree its a good option for the others like yourself

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Gather Round: Footy heads to Adelaide - but who will leave victorious?

Thought comedians researched and came up with new material after a while,Don should look into it,it gets a bit bland after a while and ratings usually drop

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Gather Round: Footy heads to Adelaide - but who will leave victorious?

Port leaving the SANFL-Ports been in the AFL for nearly 30 years, people my age mid 50’s still remember the good old days, the younger generation probably don’t have those ties as much .I am changing with the times but can’t speak of others.
Think SA missed a trick with the formation of Adelaide,Its like they thought only 1 club would ever be part of the AFL.Imagine Norwood [instead of crows] and Port in there, would be great. Thats what should of happened in the beginning .If we did go to a 3rd club could have been sturt or Glenelg.Norwood the obvious way to go if SA has another team

Ports got this, last week was a should of, could of, would of game they lost .This week they Potentially, maybe, unlikey lose to the Bombers

AFL News: Tribunal verdict in for Tiger over Swan hit, Cats in the clear over Hawkins' phone use

Thought Port might be the real deal after winning 13 straight last year but alas we dropped away towards the end of the year so if Port beat Melbourne, which they did last year …..tells me nothing

Questions to ponder ahead of Round 3: Can the Pies be re-heated, Are Port the real deal, Can Jezza's form last for the Cats?

Looking forward to the Essendon Flagendon Edgedon game

AFL pre-season notebook: Kane Cornes hits new low with response to Bomber blow, 'basic' Dockers have work to do

Well now its out in the public domain any late withdrawals might raise some eyebrows,we all know what social media is like so you would be pretty stupid to continue doing it,in saying that a proper late withdrawal might be looked upon in the same manner and no player would like to be thought of in that way.Has created a real conundrum. The AFL has made its own bed now they have to sleep on it

AFL CEO Andrew Dillon responds to bombshell drugs claims, defends 'intervention' testing

How much % does Port get for a forfeit on saturday night if alot of their team is out injured

Albanese asked to intervene as former Dees doctor drops bombshell over players dodging drug tests

I have no empathy for Collingwood

The curse of the reigning premiers: Why is it hard for teams to back up after winning an AFL flag?

I see big Tom Scully turned the game on its head against South Adelaide on the weekend, kicked 4 in one quarter to take the game away from them and controlled the air,I wonder with Lord out for half the season and Dixon being so injury prone lately we might see him this year, maybe a bit raw still for AFL,could end up being a steal for pick 53 in the draft, key position players don’t grow on trees like midfielders

Six Points: Papley's hypocrisy, Wright's Tribunal verdict the wrong call, and why are we retiring Pendlebury?

The undermanned Tigers put up a good fight against my boys but happy to get the points for Boaky and a win on the road is always good,Tigers did get some rough decisions go against them by the umpires also I thought

Six Points: Papley's hypocrisy, Wright's Tribunal verdict the wrong call, and why are we retiring Pendlebury?

Been hearing that the last 5 years

Footy Fix: 'Essendon Edge' can't fix the Bombers' long list of flaws - but it's a start

I see you mate 13th man went the early crow Don on your gameday thread, gave up 6 quarters into the season lol ,do you think he will return or is he true to his word

Footy Fix: 'Essendon Edge' can't fix the Bombers' long list of flaws - but it's a start

😂 Hang in there Rowdy, alot of footy to play out yet

Footy Fix: The Crows played 2024's dumbest game against the AFL's smartest team - and it was ghastly

I didn’t mind Hinkley getting extended.Port have had alot of retirements since 2020 the year they lost to Richmond by 3 points, around 1400 games worth [ Ebert Rockliff Westhoff Gray etc etc] no role players.Boak and Dixon will join them at the end of this year and they have stayed very competitive .Think Hinkley got extended because the young guys that replaced these players are improving Rozee, Butters, Bergmann Lord JHF Drew Farell etc etc and also think the decision makers at Port understood the list had some flaws with lack of height down back and a Ruck problem with Lycett injured all the time.
The list thing is on the coaches also but Port tried to address it with playes like Sam Hayes Brynn Teakle that backman from brisbane, forget his name, they wanted Ratogulea last year and probably went for others so they new they had flaws on the list .Hinkley has 2 years with this list then I think Josh Carr will take over

Smart move or risky gamble? Clubs extending coaches' contracts too early could dig themselves into a deeper hole

Yeah, our recruits all did their jobs, sometimes Big Sav was under the high ball and BZT or Aliir would come across and be third man up and vice verse on other occasions, lachie jones is also relatively new down back he has been thrown around a bit the last couple of years seeing where he might fit in so they will all probably need a bit of time getting used to playing together but promising signs

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 2: Can the premiers get back on track?

Collingwood looking a bit wobbly

Footy Fix: Fly's Pies have officially been worked out - but that's just the start of their problems

With work commitments I dont see much footy from june, did it continue on last year?Think it would get a bit boring and lame if they do it again this year but there are some strange people out there Gyfox, don’t think it would bother JHF anymore

The crucial cogs of AFL's Round 2: Which players need to be the difference makers?

Tigers pushed Carlton all the way last week so I am a little nervous leading up to Ports clash at the G on sunday but there are milestone games and there are milestone games.Travis Boak will play his 350th game on sunday, this isn’t your run of the mill milestone game for your average afl player this is for a former captain and club legend,no one down at Alberton is respected more than Boak.
So sides come to play each week but this one has a bit of gravy on top [alot internally]
Port should come out breathing fire

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 2: Can the premiers get back on track?

Think JHF will end up being one of those players you would like his doppleganger out there. You want 2 of him,one to play in the midfield and one to play up forward.Dare I say a bit like prime Robbie Gray.JHF played most his footy forward of centre in the SANFL,kicked 4.2 in the preliminary final and I think that game was the clincher in him being pick 1,his versatility to play midfield and forward.Last year he played mainly midfield just to learn the role at AFL level and we haven’t seen what he is capable of doing up forward at AFL level yet, wouldn’t surprise me if he kicks 35- 40 odd goals this year playing the mid/forward role

The crucial cogs of AFL's Round 2: Which players need to be the difference makers?

Port have a 20 year premiership hangover.I would take a 2 game premiership hangover anytime. The competition is very tough, very hard to go back to back and I don’t think Collingwood are a dynasty type side, they might prove me wrong.I see them a bit like Melbourne, played finals and won one and will keep in the finals mix for a while.Brisbane is more of a story being 0-2 than Collingwood being 0-2.Collingwood have something to show for it

Are the Pies still hungry? Owen jokes aside, Collingwood are in serious trouble

Best to ignore mrl,he is not an AFL fan,he is just trolling

Leigh Matthews is wrong - the AFL doesn't need a send-off rule, and introducing one would just make things messier

Solid win by the boys. What type of crowd can we expect at the MCG at 4pm on a Sunday .Travis Boak will run out for his 350th game.Timed that bad,Hinkley should drop him this week

Six Points: Meet the AFL's dumbest team, and the most ridiculous ban in MRO history
