In the few cracks Campbell was actually given for the Wallabies at fullback he did not go poorly. He was very good on the end of year tour against the best European countries.

wait really?! Jock Campbell who has played multiple times for the Wallabies doesn’t have a RA top up? But we are paying big bucks of RA top money to a kid whos been injured more than playing and has NOT played for the wallabies?

We absolutely do have the depth in outside backs Bodger. We can find wings and fullbacks everywhere we look in Aus Rugby. But instead we pay overs for leaguies and Waratahs. W Evans is spot on about petaia who after 6 years of hearing how much potential he has and how good he apparently is, hasn’t done anything that puts him above any other wallaby back. He’s the perfect example of why the hype around Jorgo should be ignored. In 6 years time we will probably still be talking about his potential and his injuries.

yeah but how many of those names you have listed will go overseas because RA has spent all it’s money on overhyped outside backs that have zero runs on the board for the Wallabies. But happen to be Tahs who’s managers have name dropped NRL clubs

If he’s too slow for wing that might have to be his position. They surely can’t play him at fullback.

I think you are a bit harsh on him. I agree he is behind Kellaway and Jock Campbell as a fullback. But he’s definitely played a lot more good and great games than Jorgo or Donaldson. He’s still probably a winger who can cover fullback. And if he’s not first string wallaby he definitely deserving of being a regular in the squad.

Very few leaguies have excelled in the centres at professional level. He will be an out and out winger like almost all leaguies. (including Folau who never learnt to kick or pass and should have been wing with DHP FB)
RTS was a much better NRL player than Sualii has been so and he couldn’t cut it as any other than an honest toiler 12.

He’s probably the country’s 4th best fullback. I hope his contract amount reflects that.
But judging by the media hype and scare-campaign by Sydney centric media I would say the NSWRA is propping him up with money from Qld that will probably see Qld players head overseas.

We should be spending our money keeping top tight 5 forwards like TT. But instead we waste millions on untried league outside backs like Sualii. Just imagine how much better our fowards would be if we kept blokes like TT and Matt Phillip, BPA, Coleman etc.

SRP is as good a quality as any professional rugby competition around the world. What competition is better? French Top14 maybe but what good is that if the French team only made the quarters. Fiji did that with one team in SRP making up almost half their squad, and NZ making the grand final. The Wallabies would have done a lot better with a half decent coach that doesn’t need a headcheck.

This is complete nonsense. Suncorp Stadium will absolutely not be knockdown and rebuilt for the Olympics. Especially just to out a roof over it. If Labor and LNP found it politically unpalatable to do that to the out of date non compliant Gabba there’s no way the voters of Qld would be ok with Suncorp which is the countries best Rugby and Football stadium still to this day, be knockdown and rebuilt.

I’ve said it on a lot of other Super Rugby Womens articles, but I don’t like the double headers or the games at this time of year. No one is going to watch them live when they clash with Super Rugby Pacific games.
They deserve their own stand-alone games, not curtain raisers that clash with other games.
There is zero rugby on Sunday this week! Imagine if they made Sunday Super Rugby Womens very own day. Or better yet move the season to after Super Rugby Pacific where we are crying out for more games other than the Wallabies 2 games every 3 weeks.

Whilst Sauaso was good in attack when she came on, she did struggle in defence.
Where as Urwin has been the Reds best defender. And in attack she looks threatening just hasn’t been given the ball in space yet. I would have kept Sauaso to come on from the bench.
Elisaia will make a huge difference in the Reds attack. Hopefully the Reds have a much better game.
