I saw enough force to warrant the sin bin, was marginal. But then Chambers should have gone for a HIA for his acting. My list of NRL actors is increasing: Benji, Walker, Cleary from last week and now Chambers, and I have missed out a couple of players for sly head/neck rubs in last nights games.

Mass confusion on NRL crackdown: Griffin

I watch Fox so don’t know what Nine commentators are like, but the Fox commentators are coming around to accepting the change. They look at each one and usually decide to agree with the on field outcome, with the occasional wrong or missed call. Like how Chambers managed to stay on the field and not go for a HIA. It seems some coaches and trainers will be the last to accept the new new.

Needs to be a crack down in staging or diving.

Hadley is still alive! I’m surprised and a little disappointed.

Fox League's decision to hire Ray Hadley is baffling

Whilst the NRL are at rule changes they need one for “staging” or “diving”. Has to go hand in hand with a crack down, otherwise the Walkers and Benjis will be diving more than synchronized swimmers.

Eight talking points from NRL Round 10

Walker at his acting best, don’t blame the bunker, blame the player.

'That is a joke!' Braith Anasta blows up deluxe after Chad Townsend's controversial report

In some sports there is a fine and penalty for “staging”. Commentators should NOT blast the officials, they should be blasting the player for taking a dive. And Walker has form for taking a dive. Perhaps he and Benji should play together, oh hang on they do!!!! Perhaps they are coached to dive.
Again blast the players not the officials.

Ok finish this sentence so as not to offend ANYONE: May as well coach …….

Ricky Stuart apologises to the netball community after social media backlash

Don’t worry chooks fans the NRL judiciary will look after the Roosters, always has, always will.

Should Dylan Brown have been reported after breaking this Rooster's ribs?

This is the first year that I have started to not watch a game through to the end, and I’m a die hard NRL fan. The game is not well.

50-point curse knocks Rabbitohs' premiership hopes for six

All you Benji apologists must like diving (as is the soccer variety) as well and think its fair and within the rules because that is were your arguments eventually lead.

Benji Marshall comically defends his role in Raiders obstruction penalty

There is gamesmanship and there is ugly gamesmanship. Benji was on the side of ugly, and he can be smug about it, but my view of him has been diminished.

Why conferences? Out of interest how many teams are in the AFL competition? How do they cope?

Would three NRL conferences be better than two?

Note the push from the Penrith scrum and its direction! After watching a few Penrith games I’m becoming of the view that Penrith are the new “Melbourne” in the way they are pushing the boundaries of the rules and refs and seem to be just a little ahead of the refs in their interpretation of the rules. Their markers are often jumping just a little early, their outside backs pick their times to jump just a little offside to force the opposition to play away from that side, and they jump just a little early to put pressure of kickers. Add to that they often do not get up fully to play the ball and often take a couple of steps forward after the tackle has been called. All things that are aiming at being minor so refs don’t call penalties against them but also so refs call 6 again for them. So Melbourne.

Penrith embarrass Knights with sneaky set play from the scrum

There’s sad and there’s sad. I disagree with draws being exciting. I like golden point.

Tom Burgess' effort was a great golden-point try - here's why I dislike it

Welcome Dude.

Do away with the on-field assessment by the teams trainer. We have all seen them being fudged and they cause a delay in actually getting a player off the field. Solution: the player has to be initially assessed on-field immediately by an non-club associated person (perhaps called on by the ref with guidance from the bunker) and the clubs cop heavy fines if a player refuses or delays assessment.

A plea to coaches: Stop rorting the HIA system

That salary cap keeps working for the Roosters.

Sydney Roosters reportedly close to luring star All Black to the NRL

Home ground advantage, refs more interested in the Raiders misdemeanors. What is the point of touch judges?

Controversy as Kikau dishes out blatant shoulder charge- and the RAIDERS concede the penalty

Yep well spotted, but it is a rarity, and players rarely then take a “voluntary” tackle unlike in the attacking 20.

Braith Anasta calls out double standards with the obstruction rule after Eels' opening try

This rule also only gets applied in the attacking 20 and no were else on the field.

Rapana knew the rules better than the commentators and refs. Just needed to take a soccer dive to match Don’s and it would have been a draw, and 20 metre tap.

Jordan Rapana tries an 'AFL play' on the Don... then wastes a captain's challenge on it

There was obvious intent. I don’t see the problem in charging him. Punches don’t have to connect to get charged.

Officials penalise a fresh-air shoulder charge but miss Cody Walker's elbow

I’ll bet my house he will get a run on!

NRL Round 4 teams: Injury-hit Roosters name Suaalii... in reserves

Unbelievable cop out for the NRL on player welfare. This is more about quelling the loud chorus of old ex-players and NRL journos who want the game to be tough like it was in the good old days and to bring back fatigue as if that is some magic potion to make the game better.
