I’m not a Liverpool fan but I hope he doesn’t leave. The league will be poorer for it if he does go.
Coutinho transfer: Will Liverpool lose their man?
Love what Moeen has been doing in the 4th innings of test matches. 4,6,4 wickets in the 4th innings of this series and is bowling great areas.
Moeen takes The Oval's first hat-trick to secure English victory
I think Utd are in a strong position to compete this year. They have added in areas where they struggled (scoring goals, midfield solidarity) and if they can get away from their drawing habit of a year ago then they could be onto something
Matic-Mourinho reunion spells danger for rest of EPL
I agree with everything you say. As someone who has been a keen follower of Gary Ballance’s career, he played most of his time for Yorkshire at number 5 and scored a heap of runs. Since Trott’s retirement and Bell’s poor run of form which led him to being dropped, England have struggled to find an answer to number 3.
Tom Westley is a good shout and someone who has played with Cook at Essex. I feel Stoneman is ahead of him however and honestly have no clue how this top order conundrum will be sorted.
Question marks remain despite Joe Root's debut victory
Moeen is “England’s front line spinner”. Since the retirement of Swann he has been given the responsibility of being the senior spinner in the test lineup in every game he has played aside from a few games in the sub continent when Rashid played. Yes his test bowling average of 39 isn’t going to grab the headlines but he does a job and is growing into his role with every game he plays.

I think they have a great balance as it is. Picking up Patton through the draft gives them great depth at center, whilst Rubio knows this offence inside out and can be a great playmaker with three legitimate All-Star caliber scorers playing alongside him.
Minnesota still need more offensive firepower
This treatment of Hunt in my eyes is unfair. Players are announcing their moves to other teams at various points in the season, but Bennett has mistreated Hunt because he’s off to the Dragons in 2018. If I were Paul McGregor I wouldn’t be too impressed.
Ben Hunt back for Broncos, Bennett says spot not safe
As someone who lives in WA I’d love to see Sam Whiteman’s name thrown around there. He’s a great talent with the bat and gloves, but I feel he is one of those players whose careers might dogged by injuries.
Carey leapfrogs Nevill in Ashes race
I struggle to see how Jedinak would succeed as part of a back 3 and feel it is time for some of the younger guys to step up and take Australia forward with the likes of Mooy taking the reigns.
Five things we learned from the Confederations Cup
Will be interesting to see how CP3 fits in with Harden. Two ball dominant guards in the same line-up could cause teething problems and has weakened the bench. Will be interesting to watch!
Rockets surge into championship contention with blockbuster Chris Paul trade
In my opinion they have been clear favourites the whole time, even when Australia, New Zealand etc were still in the competition.
Weather not enough to stop rampant Stokes
There isn’t a team in international ODI cricket who can ‘out-blitz’ England at the moment in English conditions. Not even India.
Weather not enough to stop rampant Stokes
The grass conditions will give Murray a chance to recapture his form from last year and so I hope this semi-final run gives himself a bit of confidence. His game mechanics aren’t quite right but he showed glimpses in this game that he can push on later in the year.
Stan has been fantastic this tournament and will be a great game against Rafa.
Murray's poor 2017 continues as Wawrinka marches on
Because by his lofty standards it is. In 2016 he was reaching the final in pretty much every tournament he played in, and was doing it in a convincing manner. This year he has struggled immensely, largely due to his health. I just hope this is just a minor dip in form for him and he can come back and finish 2017 on a high.
Murray's poor 2017 continues as Wawrinka marches on
As an Andy Murray fan it was great to see him play so well in 2016 and really brought his best tennis to the court. In 2017 it has been a completely different story. Along with Djokovic, he has fallen flat of expectations and I sure hope he can bounce back before Queens and Wimbledon!
Murray's poor 2017 continues as Wawrinka marches on
Any chance to get a one-up on an Ashes rival will be taken seriously, regardless of the format of the game. The games will be played in similar English conditions don’t forget.
Forget the rain, last night showed Australia will steamroll England
I agree Matt, Johnson played out of his skin in that ODI series and served up a bit of what was to come for the English batsmen in the coming months.
Forget the rain, last night showed Australia will steamroll England
Chris Woakes’ injury for England is a major loss and we may struggle to replace him as the leader of our attack. Having said that, a win against New Zealand and we’re through, so the game against Australia might be a dead rubber for us.
Either way, it will be a great contest, as each team will be trying to get the ‘one up’ over the other ahead of the Ashes.
Forget the rain, last night showed Australia will steamroll England
Great win for Murray and this will give him some much needed confidence ahead of the 4th round. He’s been out of nick this year, and Del Potro is not walkover.
I hope this allows him to push on and get him back to the kind of form we saw in 2016 and give Rafa a run for his money on clay.
Murray Downs Del Potro in blockbuster match
Very ugly game to watch, but the only way is up for the Lions. This performance should allow them to dust the cobwebs off and regroup for the games to come. Looking forward to seeing how the strongest XV gel ahead of the 1st test.

Hayne needs to go back to fullback. He can get away with playing in the centres for NSW because of the quality around him, but needs to be in the 1 jersey to get the ball consistently for the Titans, especially now he’s staying on for another year.
North Queensland Cowboys vs Gold Coast Titans highlights: NRL live scores, blog
Scrappy perfoamnce, but a win is a win. Great to have Widdop back, he added a sense of calmness into the attack and was a creative threat all afternoon. Dugan had one of his best games in the Red V, and I hope Frizell’s injury isn’t too bad!
Highlights: Tigers tamed by deft Dragons, 16-12
Our batting lineup is absolutely dynamite. We have showed that consistently over the last 18 months. Once Jason Roy finds his form their is no real weakness in the lineup.
I hope Woakes’ injury isn’t as bad as first feared, because without him to lead the bowling unit, we might ship a heck of a lot of runs.
It's prediction time and England are going to clean up
I still can’t wrap my head around this move. I just don’t get it other than from a financial standpoint. Why would Neymar want to leave a strike partnership with Suarez and Messi. Seems odd to me.
Bye bye Barca; Neymar headed to PSG
