Any chance we can get these girls to play against the Hurricanes this weekend ? Fair to say they will put up a better defence than their male counterparts.

Waratahs put 50 on Drua to claim FIFTH Super Rugby Women's title, playmaker sent off after ugly stomping incident

I have said it umpteen times & again reiterate that the Waratahs have for several years now been nothing but imposters. Yet, year in, year out prior to the season beginning we have to put up with Sydney media explaining to us why this years Waratahs are serious contenders.

They haven’t been contenders for almost a decade, yet for some of these players there is still this feeling of entitlement. Because they’re Waratahs they seem to believe they must be seriously considered for Wallaby selection. Like hell !! They have been pampered for longer than I can remember & unfortunately their recent coaches have done little to bring these guys back to earth.

They need a coach who is happy to stand up & say “your rubbish & you’re playing like a 3rd grade side. You’re no where near as good as you think you are & if I had 15 2nd graders here I’d be naming them to play next week”. Unfortunately that isn’t going to happen.

Tahs' season hanging by a thread after Chiefs go whack to post bonus point win

Ah Harry ………….

“4 Aussie teams clearly better than 2 Kiwi sides” ???. 3 Aussie teams maybe, but the Waratahs ? Give me a break !! The Waratahs still have to play the Chiefs, Hurricanes, Brumbies & Reds. Where do you reckon they’ll end up. “Clearly better”. You must live in Sydney.

Five surprises, five disappointments and five things to figure out as Super Rugby 2024 reaches the end game

Whoa hang on there.

Not too many Kiwis I know claim that of Ioane. He is a world class right winger, but as a centre he’s mediocre at best. Anther one of Fosters cock ups.

Brumbies to welcome back Wallabies duo for 'Canes clash after week of soul-searching, Tahs to tweak side for Chiefs

Garbage. Nonu / Smith are regarded as one of if not the best centre pairings in rugby history.

SBW WON the 2011 final ????. Are you kidding ? He was on the bench & only came on with 4 minutes to go. Check your history.

Hansen's done Joey Manu no favours comparing him to SBW. He'll be more like RTS - and Foz is the reason why

100% correct. SBW was in my opinion a mediocre rugby player that got an AB jersey almost on a promise. Graham Henry was no fool & used him lightly, preferring SBW be named on the bench against most of the other big gun nations.

Likewise Manu. A great NRL player & he will no doubt take to the Japanese style of “run it whenever you can” style of play. Unfortunately this does not naturally evolve into international rugby at the highest level. I cannot see Manu in a Wallaby jersey ever.

No. What we are seeing here is a “systematic whinging from a Brumbies supporter”. Tell me. What was your excuse when the Brumbies were hammered by the Chiefs a few weeks ago ? Was that the ref also ? Not on your nelly.

Simply put. This Brumbies side are a train wreck that can only bully the little guys. The moment they hit a bit of class it is all over by halftime.

Brumbies 'systematically taken apart by the Blues' in 'non-contest' as Larkham's men cop huge reality check

Nope. Never heard of him.

Aussie-born England capped rake Nic Dolly signs with Force ... and he'll soon be eligible for the Wallabies

he good thing about this appointment is that Schmidt looks to have chosen coaches that can seemlessly intertwine their knowledge with each other. No doubt there may be some fairly boisterous thought provoking debates between them from time to time but overall it is a very impressive coaching lineup.

CONFIRMED: Wallabies land final piece of coaching puzzle as ex-Lion signs on ahead of showpiece event

Hamish, I hate to say it but in this case you have a good point.

I’ve never been a Perenara fan for several reasons , most of which you have highlighted. However another of his foibles is to constantly check himself out on the big screen. This is usually just prior to the ref setting the scrums but he can be relied upon to check the big screen at least twice in this short period. It annoys me as it merely confirms that he has “tickets” on himself.

That said, he may well be in Razors squad & good luck to him as his early form suggests he may deserve another shot. He will not be at the next RWC however short term he may be the very best man for the job.

The forgotten leader Razor must pick for the All Blacks - and why it could change who wears the prized No.10 jersey

If late tackles on unsuspecting 80 kg 5/8s is the benchmark, Swinton is up there. Otherwise he is just another retarded has been player looking for the cheap shots.

The Wrap: Crusaders' shot clock fiasco and shhh, don’t put the moz on Darby

Thanks Geoff. However, is it my imagination or is Lachie Swinton a tad unhinged ? In the past he has received so much bad press for some of the daft things he has done on the paddock but simply hasn’t learnt his lesson.

The Wrap: Crusaders' shot clock fiasco and shhh, don’t put the moz on Darby

Can someone explain to me why Swinton was even arguing with the assistant referee ?

Swinton has been a constant source of headaches for the Waratahs & Wallabies. When is someone going to tell him to pull his head in. He is no enforcer. Never was, never will be.

This story has no wheels. No one takes Beale seriously anymore, least of all Schmidt.

What Joe Schmidt told Kurtley Beale about his Wallabies future

Essentially what I am intimating is that Australia cannot afford 5 SR franchises. By amalgamating you are lowering costs but hopefully strenghthening that 4th franchise.

You are right in suggesting it would be churlish to hit Twiggy again though. Perhaps sharing the home ground matches may help, but currently the Force are spent & I can see bigger hidings in the offing.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

Is there something wrong here ?

On the one hand we have a very ordinary but financial Force side (located on the other side of the continent) looking very much the wooden spooners, whilst on the East coast we have the Rebels winning 65% of their games (yet broke). How much money can be saved by amalgamating these 2 sides & basing them in Melbourne. The saving in flight costs alone will climb into the $M’s.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

Sorry ??. Top 2 NZ v top 2 Australia !!.

Don’t you mean Top 2 Australia v top 4 NZ ? By the time the semis are due I predict 4 of the 5 NZ franchises will be there (incl Crusaders). If the Highlanders string a few wins them as well. Forget the Waratahs, forget the Force & my gut say’s forget the Rebels.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

And another thing ………… why is it the coaches fault ?

These players are supposed to be professionals. When Plan A doesn’t work, switch to Plan B (& every side has more than 1 plan). Is this Waratah side unable to adapt ? Are the players so 1 dimensional changing mid stride is too hard to comprehend ? Is it the coaches fault some of these guys never learnt to tackle ? Is it the coaches fault some of his players suffer from white line fever ?

Perhaps if some of these Waratah players spent more time on their core skills & less time worrying about their haircuts & their dye jobs they would have a better win / loss record.

Rugby Australia kicks off review into Waratahs as pressure mounts on Coleman ahead of Brumbies clash

Dump Coleman & then see if Steve Hansen is interested.

Hansen having coached some of the very best suffers fools lightly & quite frankly couldn’t give 2 figs for half of this Wallaby squad. The pampering would stop immediately, the Sydney rugby media would be told to buzz off, & he would then systematically rip into these overpaid, under performing “professionals”.

I hope this saves the Rebels. Given their current form, just how good could this side be if the sword was not hanging over their heads.

Meanwhile memo to the Waratahs. Take a peak at this Rebel side & how they are handling adversity. Now ask yourselves this question…what’s your excuse ?

'We've got three pay cheques left': Rebels given glimmer of hope - but the clock is still ticking

I have not had any time for the Waratahs for several years now. They are pampered & in some cases a protected specie. How manty Waratahs in recent years have been named in the Wallaby squads where form looked to be overlooked. NSW rugby may well have a reasonable club comp however that does not guarantee top Super Rugby players. This & last years team a classic example.

'What the hell's going on': Ex-Wallabies question 'losing' culture, pathways at Waratahs

Sorry Don, but I have been watching Tupou for far too long. When he first hit the Super rugby scene he was sensational. He was up for it.

However, in the last few years he has preferred to work on his white line fever. He has been happy to park himself out on the flanks whilst his 7 mates up front do all the hard work. He is then the recipient of clean ball 10 metres out with only a 90 kg wing in front of him. It became all about this “Tongan Thor” try scoring machine. It was rubbish.

Nowadays he’s a part time prop that comes on after his opponents are shattered having ground out 60 minutes themselves. Easy prey. And as for his try ?. He scrambled over from 1.5 metres out. Hardly earth shattering.

His is unfit & he is lazy. I also realise that his injuries have hampered him however some members of the media still put him up on this pedestal as the prop the Wallabies need. I doubt whether Cron is even considering him.

'It can be something great': Schmidt turns to 'scrum doctor' as next step in Wallabies rebuild

Sorry Connor33. Schmidt never worked with Razor.

Don’t even joke about that !!!

'It can be something great': Schmidt turns to 'scrum doctor' as next step in Wallabies rebuild

tsuru. I think if anyone can Schmidt may be able to. I believe this years Wallabies could give Wales a touch up depending on how Schmidt goes about it, & in all honesty they may even give the AB’s a decent run for their money.

Schmidt will get the squad together early & will certainly have a settled look by the time the Bledisloe comes around.
