I like sports, especially Rugby League.

It could be the case that Molo, Dunn and Pere cement themselves. I hope they do, but I think you need to back experience over youthful exuberance to begin with. If results are shaky, the form line would suggest they are past it, and Green will have no choice but to hit the button.

Disagree.

Thanks Nat. I’m hoping that Jensen has a breakout year. He cracked the 100 m barrier a few times this season which is great for a rookie prop.

That’s an interesting idea. I can see Scott being used in a Ben Hannant role from 2015-16, providing solid go forward and experience through the middle periods of a game. Jensen could start, he is a workhorse and very enthusiastic.

Yes I agree Ferret, I think they need to be given a few games at the beginning to show they can still produce. Or else, the changes will be swift.

I hope Lowe can return to his tackle breaking try scoring 2016-17 self. It was disappointing to see his fall from grace this year.

In the modern game size is favoured over speed. I think it would be interesting to see MacDonald play left center and Mosby left wing, but the more conservative selection is to go with the above.

We’ll wait for the results of the trials, but I don’t think there’s a need to make a host of rash changes (aside from O’Neil, who hasn’t shown much in two seasons). You’ll be surprised at the difference a creative, speedy fullback will make. Barba is definitely the key, the season rides on him making a big impact.

Peter Parr has confirmed that the club needed a specialist hooker on the bench to replace Granville. That’s why Baptiste was recruited. He can also put pressure on Granville, who was well below his best this year. Consider how successful Canberra were when Baptiste played backup to Hodgson.

When the Cowboys last had two specialist hookers (Granville and Kostjasyn) they looked far more organised in attack.

Hampton is a jack of all trades, and is solid backup for the backline. But he showed during the 2018 season that hooker is not his best position. Baptiste is a specialist hooker, Hampton isn’t. That’s why I selected him, and Parr said the Cowboys hired him.

Hi BA, I don’t think Morgan is a “backward” step. He is a better ball runner than Thurston ever was. The key is playing to his strengths. Plus in 2017 he showed he can be an astute game manager.

I agree with Bolton and Cooper being at the end, this will be their last season. The problem is there is little depth in the club’s middle forward department so there aren’t many options to replace him.

They are experienced, and could come good again. I wouldn’t write that off just yet.

Nat has hit the issue on the head. Whilst Ponga showed glimpses in the matches he played he didn’t cement a spot. By that stage he was already contracted to the Knights so I can understand why the club didn’t want to continue developing a player for another club.

You can’t keep all the stars but they have managed to keep a few. Hess, Mosby and Clifford in particular could be greats of the club.

Hi Peeko, yes that’s what I’m thinking too. Competing for a place in the finals. I’m happy to be pleasantly surprised though.
