“it seems that the chance to see America’s pastime is out of reach for most Australians.” Hence why both games are already sold out have have been for a month now. $69 is a small price to pay to see MLB in Australia which is why I bought a ticket as soon as I heard about it. You forget that this is a one off event involving two games where AFL plays 22 matches a season.

Cost of sports tickets catches fans offside

I see you read my article Clayton.

The North Melbourne Kangaroos will bounce back this year

Fantastic article Andrew. Guess I was wrong about St Louis. I wrote an article a month ago about Chicago going back to back and they haven’t shown any different. Pittsburgh is the regular season specialists which is sad. The West is so much better than the East in terms of wins and points compared.

A telling difference between Warner and Watson is Davey can actually convert after getting starts of 30, 40 and 50. As I saw last night however a couple of brash shots by Warner in particular a pull and cut could easily have sailed into the fielders hands and his great innings be cut massively short.

Warner lets his bat do the talking

I thought North would have at least wanted to make a statement in the NAB Challenge but yes maybe they are holding back? I just want the season to start already!

Is the hype too much for North Melbourne?

Very true Ben, I’ll hold my judgement on the Roos until at least Round 8 or 9

Is the hype too much for North Melbourne?

Fantastic article Cameron. As a passionate North fan I completely agree they should not get ahead of themselves which they aren’t even though the media is pumping them up. Watching those close losses last year was heartbreaking but I believe this season has so much promise. We can match the best, but struggle so much against defensive sides such as Sydney and Freo which I don’t expect us to win those games. That was the one problem we had which we may have scored 120 points but against Geelong and Collingwood they were allowed to score over 100 points too. D# D# D#.

North Melbourne to rise in 2014

Ed Snider shouldn’t have anything to worry about…No star players on Flyers were selected for the Olympics!

Olympic hockey faces irrelevance without NHL involvement

Let’s hope the noof’s at One HD and Ten decide to show these games! They showed the first 4 or 5 TNF games this season and then didn’t show any after…

Ten’s Sochi coverage off to a rough start

Roos will make the top 8. 10th position is just a slap in the face to a side that has recruited superbly on and off the field. As you say they lost games by a kick or less and that will not be allowed to happen again in ’14. Brad Scott won’t stand for that heartbreak again and neither will the fans. Dal Santo is a massive inclusion and their midfield depth rivals the top 4 now. My prediction is a 6th place finish.

Season preview: North Melbourne

As a Peyton Manning fan I felt completely shattered for the man. But the last two years they have been itching closer to the title. Divisional round last season and SuperBowl this year. Surely next year the Broncos can go one further…

Denver Broncos: a Super Bowl post-mortem

Great article and read Matt. My thoughts mirror yours about us not claiming the best bowling attack the world over. If we can go into South Africa and beat them at their own game then we can lay claim to possessing the best bowling attack. I have a feeling however that the class of Steyn and Philander will be too much for our batsmen.

Is the Australian bowling attack the best in the world?

I agree with you there and I understand what you’re saying. Was just stating the facts his numbers are down. Probably should’ve mentioned that he’s playing with 3 other superstars! I just want the game to start already!

Wes Welker the key for Denver Broncos in Super Bowl

I see your point BA and I said Welker needs to play an amazing game because I think the other receivers will be suffocated by the Seahawks D leaving him as an important player for Denver.

Wes Welker the key for Denver Broncos in Super Bowl

I would love to see a Alastair Lynch coached side against Darryl Wakelin coached side! But yes I think the AFL could do something like the Sanders/Rice match but the only problem is fitting it into the schedule…

Is this year’s NFL Pro Bowl a model for AFL rep footy?

The Stars should win the whole thing based on current form but T20 cricket is so hard to pick these days. Hoping my Sixers can pull something out of their kitbag!

Thanks for reading Josh. How many articles have you written? Oh that’s awkward.

Bizarre tirade from Sherman overshadows Seattle’s NFC win

The 49ers will lose to Seattle. It’s just that simple. Arizona beating them at home for the first time in 2 years was a fluke. Seahawks won’t let that happen again.

The Over/Under: conference championships

Completely agree Josh! You can order say a Patriots t shirt for $25 yet go onto the North Melbourne store and pay $60 for a ‘vintage’ Roos shirt…Absolute travesty

AFL continues the Americanisation of Australian sport

Great read Cam, I think they will take care of the 49ers in a close match and make it to the Super Bowl. They have such a stingy defense that hardly lets through any big plays. Was funny how the Saints looked threatening in the last quarter against them when it was all too little too late. Brady or Manning will test them relentlessly especially if they play the Broncos who have Decker, both Thomas’ and Welker. I see that as the only way to beat them is to pile on the pressure and not be scared to throw the ball over and over.

Can the Seahawks go all the way?

One year I want to see 3 or 4 super players such as Melo, LeBron, D12 and maybe Rondo all take a one year deal for $5 million and go to say Charlotte for example and try to win a title.

Carmelo to the Lakers is a terrible move
