How do fit players are always injured, there is something wrong with their rehab and conditioning. Also if you are injured do you get your full contract. How good is it you get $600k to do sfa especially if your Jorge’s age. Off to Bali for 3 months.

Yeah NRL should definitely have 20 teams with one in NZ because they have the player depth and grassroots fan base.

Severe stress , they can live off there over inflated earnings for a few years that RA paid them an move on . Give me a break if they didn’t give themselves so much mulla and got some fans they would not be in this mess. I’m sure Tupou and co will enjoy there earnings and move on.

About time the NZ teams start to get serious about this competition and do the done thing and flog the Oz teams, I thought we were bringing the Nz standards down with us but as it is the top 8 , you only have to step up now. Watch the Crusaders come home strong and thrash the reds and make the 8.

Rebels' Super future hanging on creditors' Friday vote as Rugby Australia set to go against plan

Agree Western Sydney is the market and although they have a production pathways school Kings out west, there are so many talented people out there that have been deliberately excluded by RA elite bs . They should focus on the number of public schools that play league but would also many would play union if they could and RA got off their arks and included them. There is such an untapped market for grassroots players and supporters but not if RA decide to charge $300 for a flipping ticket

It’s the biggest rugby market by a mile and produces most of the players via the private school system and Shute shield and virtually all the coaches for the wallabies.

That’s why we can’t compete with NZ teams. Australia uses super rugby to blood youth mainly where as for the All Blacks they are trials for the All Blacks. The blooding of youth should be in the domestic comps where they play a lot of rugby not at say Daceyville on the bike and beep tests. All the established players now go off to Europe and Japan leaving more youngsters to get continually flogged by NZ teams. That will advance rugby here and bring the crowds and grassroots back. Super is doomed. But yeah great to see Cale and the Junk yard dog kill it. Shows it is not really a massive step up from club to super.
