I can see him at Haas. Plenty of US money will follow him. Claire Williams was awful and Vowles ain’t looking much better thus far.

How to destroy a driver's self-belief: Williams' Melbourne car swap could affect Logan Sargeant's overall confidence

Spot on. They dug the whole, took the risk, Albon exposed the problem and poor old Logan takes the whack. He should have walked, got on a plane and left. Disgraceful treatment. Williams did not win a point, Sargeant could have done that with ease!

I’d also argue that Haas is a logical fit and the two guys there are nearing the end of the road.

I saw the decision as one of the most ridiculous I’ve seen in all world sport. Vowles claimed “We need to have the driver with the best chance to score points.” I’d argue the guy who slammed the car into the Melbourne walls two years in a row might not be the best guy for the job.
Sargeant should have headed to the airport and left. The damage to his confidence could be severe and he would have been entitled to ask if he has the full support of the team. He could have a real future in the sport, he is unquestionably talented and deserves to be in his car, one he had not destroyed and Albon should have sat out, potentially pondering as to where his career is headed. Build up a young driver, reward their effort and show integrity. Sure, if Albon had won a point and Vowles looks a genius. But at what expense for their second driver?

Amazingly got better in just a couple of days.

Get off the Socceroos' backs! One training session, a win against Lebanon and still people fail to understand Asian football

I’ll work on that. Might be an interesting comparison. I’d guess he would be somewhere in between Hamilton and Verstappen.

Don't tell me F1 is boring... Yes, we've seen Hamilton dominate, but this time it's simply Verstappen greatness

Best day of the year mate. Smokey for the weekend? Oscar. Keen to see how Logan goes, we have nicknamed him the ‘speed merchant’ at our place.

Australian F1 Grand Prix full schedule: Albert Park, Melbourne 2024

How I did not squeeze the Rampling’s in there is bugging me!

Turbo-charging their way to the top: Are the Trbojevic brothers the greatest ever set of rugby league siblings?

Agree about the Walter’s crew. Hard to argue against when the rep stats are collated. Although, the Trbojevic’s will certainly add to theirs as well. The premiership count certainly in favour of the Queenslanders.

Nice call. I’d not thought of salt and vinegar and BBQ. Should have.

I just thought of the Blakes as well. Not really in the same class but an interesting experiment to recall some of the more obscure ones. The Sorensen’s have also just jumped to mind.

Carnage on the first lap might be the only way either can manage a podium. Oscar in the points looks likely but Ricciardo will need to show more than he has so far this season.

For the first time in a decade, two Aussies headline the Australian Grand Prix - can either of them capture an elusive podium?

What a grubby affair on a number of levels. I’m curious as to whether the dismissed allegations can be re-opened with new evidence at hand. Probably not what Red Bull want but the victim deserves full disclosure of the events and a well considered decision.

F1's state of disrepute a much-needed wake-up call to the powers that be

She’s unhinged, like her brother and I completely ignore her ‘work’. However, I will hunt for that. You’ve got me interested.

Violence is not 'passion': Wanderers fans chuck a wobbly again... why is it always them?

Nicely put mate.

You probably should also be aware of the number of messages and correspondence I have had from many, many people saying it is about time someone looked at this issue from both sides and not just as a football supporter. Not “everyone”, as you suggest, is upset or offended, in fact the number is probably around 50 and most are WSW supporters. I think that says it all.

Where is your evidence of brutality and excessive force? A few clips do not make an investigation determination. Secondly, you are aware that the headlines of articles are not always constructed by the writers? I have also called out the police for not understanding football folk, being overly enthusiastic and not communicating well with fan groups; have been doing so for near a decade. That does not excuse people becoming violent, the point I am making. Ps, word on the street is that the WSW CEO might have some more pertinent financial issues to deal with in the coming months. Watch this space.
