Does that really have to come into it? Way too easy for westerners to base their feelings on this. Pretty lame actually. Most Victorians I know dislike more Melbourne clubs than those interstate. If Freo are all too often ‘forgotten’ in forecasts it’s their history of mediocrity and low finishes.

Six Points: AFL must act on Cameron concussion farce, 2024's best game, and the end of days arrives in Victoria

You know ya stuff . . . stuff all!

Yeah ya’ gotta keep the old bones moving. Too much rest and the old folk seize up!

Agreed. You are nowhere near as forgiving as Don!

Here we go . . . ‘if they gave Banfield a free . . .’ There are a lot of middling sides in the mix but Freo aren’t one of them!

Richmond beat Sydney! Freo lose to them and all you’ve got are excuses and misleading statements of ‘indicators won’. Grow up and face reality, though I guess you just can’t handle the truth.

Yeahnah. I’m not convinced. Your midfield is fairly pedestrian not that centre clearances are everything anymore. Big fan of Hawkins but he’s looking a shadow of himself now. Surely he retires at season’s end. Don’t think your backline is as ‘tight’ as you say, particularly when sides put speed on the ball and put work into Stewart. The next month will be revealing.

Footy Fix: Port just played the best quarter of the year - and it was so good, they hardly showed up for the other three

I might be right this time!

Yeah you’d hope they both turn up. Dogs by 63. Cheers!

I reckon the Doggies might slice and dice tonight!

The Cats’ ladder position is flattering. Just another middling team who won’t bother anyone come September.

Nevertheless, we were so good they changed the rules to counter our game.

From injuries to coaching decisions and even umpiring calls, it's all going wrong at Richmond in 2024

Naughton to the backline where he belongs and where the swelling to his head may ebb. No brainer.

Even Bulldogs fans know your time is up, Luke Beveridge please do us a favour and move on as painlessly as possible

I actually enjoy their gamestyle. One of the more watchable teams when going okay. Horrid when the wheels fall off of course.

So Geelong’s two GF losses against Hawthorn and the Tigers resulted in rule changes! Hocking reacted to the 2020 loss with the stand rule . . . stupidest rule ever. Was there a Geelong influence at AFL House at the time of the loss to Hawthorn?

Fair comment. Pavlich too. He would’ve kicked another hundred and a further hundred playing for a better side!

Yep me too. Seen the Tiges in 9 GFs and they won 8 of ’em! Losing one was horrid.

Not too young young at all. Been going to watch the Tiges since ’67. Another good year! Did Hawthorn steal a flag or did Geelong lose a flag? Doesn’t matter does it? They couldn’t get the job done. I do however think that group of players have been the Cats’ best.

How many finals have Geelong lost in the time period you refer to? That is another reason why they’re not in the conversation with Richmond, Hawthorn and Brisbane.

Geez donsy . . . not like you to be wide of the mark. (sarcasm) Been missing two key forwards and a key defender or 2 key defenders and a key forward, missing virtually an entire midfield group and others. Again you cherry pick. You can’t look at this week’s injury list and generalise which is your won’t. You also exclude players that are a test for this week, they have been missing too ya know! You’re the type of drip who would include Tabs’ ‘missed’ games as part of the overall injury crisis at Freo when realistically they wouldn’t/shouldn’t have been playing him. Seems a lot of more respected and knowledgable commenters here don’t bother with you anymore! There’s a reason for that, ya know.

Can’t see the forest through the trees, hey?

Would shoulda. There’s another difference. Brisbane, Hawthorn and Richmond struck big time. They dominated the comp. The Cats did not/have not to the same degree.

Your 2007 flag came 44 years after your previous flag.
